I knew I had reason to be skeptical.

I have driven by that place a few times and always wonder why it's so crowded all the time. Never been in there though. Dude. Cheap produce.

Apollo's chariot pumping on first drop?

I can't believe nobody has given this analogy yet. Pumping is like "pumping" the brake of your car, kind of doing a little herk and jerk. You are welcome. -

I've always wanted to pump on a coaster, but my girlfriend was never into it. -
Vegemite is a spread that Australians put on everything. My girlfriend brought it back with her a couple years ago and everyone thought it was the worst stuff ever. It is this black crap that is really salty and is like 100 times the taste of soy sauce. What is really gross is I really liked it. I could eat it by the spoon full.

Just like Wes said, the town benefits from this economically. I'm sure the guy can be made happy somehow. This definately isn't going to hurt the park a lot. It is just a pain in the butt for them. -

So should white people be offended when there is a PhilLand? -

New study states humans live far beyond planet's means
Hercules replied to ScOtT k's topic in Random, Random, Random
Solar, wind, tidal, hydro don't produce all that much power, and definetly will never be a primary source of power. Nuclear is a strong source, however comes with a very big risk. Not to mention the amount of time, energy and money that it will take to convert everything over to these kinds of energy. I wish we started thinking about all of this earlier. I blame the United States government, thank you very much. -

I don't really think this is anything new. It is something that has been talked about for a while, but not a lot of people decided to believe it. Now that there is a very real and potential problem on the way, people are starting to take notice, but our society is so used to using the resources and can only funtion through using our resources at an insane rate, we can't do that much about it. -

I wish I was in the condition to play 18..... or 9..... hell, just feel confident enough to swing a club. Awesome report. -
Basically, no, it won't be crowded at all. It is basically like and ERT session all day. If you are going on Saturday though, it might get a little more crowded towards the night hours because of the Fright Zone opening up and all the kinds of stuff. People tend to get to the park later during Halloweekends to take advantage of the cheaper price. The coasters are the things to hit up. Like I said, there really won't be anyone there at this time of year, so there really isn't any kind of game plan that you should follow. Other notable rides are: The Whip, Meteor, and I really like the Scrambler. Zeyphr is a great old ride there too. It saved the park and it wouldn't be here today. I hope you enjoy the watered down fun of Dorney!

Alright, you officially have the cutest kid ever. Nice pics as usual. I hope to get to the park again before the end of the year to get some pics myself. -

That back is definately the place to be on Hydra, but believe me, it doesn't make the ride anything out of this world. -
PKD ticket question

Interesting. Do you know what the price and times were? Do you know if it was on the website at the time? -
Because there isn't a link the "CLICK"

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is an admission price for King's Dominion, like a twilight rate for sometime after 4 or 5 o'clock. It is not on the website. Thanks.

I know. I was wondering what kind of debris could possibly going that high and with that much force. A park map maybe? Paper cuts on the legs can be hell I guess, isn't that right Joe? -

Derek - They do close down Hydra and Talon because they are at the top of the hill. I was told one time that Talon closes because they don't want the high winds to screw with the inverted design, or hit someone's legs in case of possible debris. I would assume that is the same reason for Hydra closing too - the possiblity for debris. I went once last year and Hydra was closed because of wind and I found it kind of odd, then I thought of the explanation that I received for Talon a couple years ago. I don't know if that is the real reason, but it is the one that I received. Great pics on this report. I'm glad that you had a good time. And yes, Dorney used to be so much better. I won't think about it now though. Now that the Mets just lost I'm depressed enough already. Joe - That is kind of what I was figuring. I'm going to have to hold off on the trip until 2008 I guess. -

My girlfriend and I are going to go to Hershey next year for a coule of days because of the Boardwalk. It is going to be great. I didn't go this year, which sucks, but I can't wait for next year. Does anyone have an idea of how much the Hotel Hershey is, say, in May? -

Great job so far. I can't wait for the Dorney pics, even though I've been to the place so much (not going to happen this year though!). And don't worry, those flyers are pretty much unsnapable. They are no where near as bad as the ones at Lake Compounce though. Don't feel bad.
