  1. Aww, no Ray Ray? I'm not sure who that guy next to May was but it was not Okafor.
  2. I think Cabbage Patch Kids need to protest Dollywood. Not only is it exploiting their kind, it implies that they're all easily aroused.
  3. Or the idiots that move to Kingsmill so BGW can never get their woodie...
  4. "Dark Continent" was a term that dates back to the 1800's because the land within was not vastly explored. It has nothing to do with race.
  5. My coaster count isn't very large so I'm not expecting it to stay there very long. That said, the Deja Vu I rode (at SFoG) was the most intense coaster I've ever been on and that earns it a top ten spot. It did not suck at all, but to each his own.
  6. If this is the same Pedroland that's located at South of the Border then you're a little late. South of the Border has been using Pedro as it mascot for years. He's an icon along I-95 in the Carolinas!
  7. I think Vekoma gets too much of a bad rep on internet boards. I think to the average park goer, most of their rides are fine. I've actually got two Vekomas in my top 10 right now (Deja Vu and Batwing).
  8. Havenli-- I want to do these two parks next spring and I was just curious about your take on them. What were your absolute favorites? And did any of them make your top 10 (if you have a top 10)?
  9. Crowd favorites (and mine as well) Kings Dominion: Volcano (although some seem to like Hypersonic--not sure why) Busch Gardens: Apollo's Chariot
  10. Well, crud. If I had known all these TPR peeps were going to be in Orlando, I might not have postponed my trip this weekend...
  11. The attendance probably wasn't 40,000 but BGW was horrible on the 14th. BBW and LNM were fully queued and it was a two hour wait for Alpengeist. My friends and I said screw it and left after an hour (we all have season passes) without having ridden anything.
  12. I know there used to be. I'm not sure nowadays though.
  13. Wooo--Just changed my dates of my trip so it'll be Nov. 1st-6th. Crowds shouldn't be much of a problem at all then, although I miss out on HHN. Thanks for all the help from people in this thread!
  14. I once took my shoes off in order to fit on a ride. I got turned away on SFA's S:RoS because the lapbar wouldn't secure properly. I tried it again after taking my shoes off and I was golden. And I like wearing flip-flops to parks.
  15. Looks like you had fun. I'm having to postpone my Pa parks trip to next spring. Can't wait!
  16. Cool--thanks! How should the lines and crowds be for non-HHN events? Anyone know what BGA might be like?
  17. Would going on a Friday or Sunday night make a difference? I went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg on Saturday with some friends and it was the most crowded I've ever seen the park. They were actually using the full queue with switchbacks for LNM (which is usually a walk-on). We decided to leave without riding anything. I'm trying to avoid a similar situation at one of the Florida parks this weekend.
  18. Hey knowledgeable Orlando theme park people. Questions for you. I'm going down to Orlando Thursday night and flying back Monday night. My plan is to hit UF/IoA, SeaWorld, and BGA. Anyone know what would be the optimal days and times to hit each park? I was thinking about doing something like this Friday--IoA early morning and Universal later in the day. Saturday--SeaWorld morning and early afternoon, Universal/HHN Sat. night Sunday--BGA all day Monday--more Universal and IoA (maybe a Disney park like MGM?) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been to Orlando twice--Disney 22 years ago and Universal 10. I'd really like to maximize my time at each park. Thanks!
  19. Apollo = my current #1 Goliath = #2 Perhaps a gift certificate to McDonald's will change your mind... Or maybe mine will since you've got 600+ credits to my 38.
  20. Elissa--you're really not much of a fan of B&M hypers, huh?
  21. And I just found out about "furries" this year...
  22. What day will be Back to the Future's actual last? I wouldn't mind catching one more last ride when I do my own Orlando tour.
  23. Basically that's the consulting firm Stengel formed. His work shouldn't be construed as exclusive to one roller coaster manufacturer.
