  1. My baby... March 28 was the last ride I took on it at the end of my socal trip. Fear my Tatsu!
  2. I wouldn't expect to see the roller coaster's color scheme change even though the movie version will. There's too much too change including all merchandising and detailing and it just wouldn't be worth it. Plus it just wouldn't be right...
  3. Geuaga Lake: 2 less roller coasters, twice the fun! Nahh... But seriously ,I do wish the park the best and hope their numbers improve. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a major addition in 2008 even though by then I'll be a socal resident.
  4. Cool stuff, I love walkthru haunts and never even knew these existed! I especially want to try out that Ripley's haunt.
  5. I don't find little kids getting hurt to be particularly funny but to each their own...
  6. Good to hear it's back open, looks less catastrophic than i was thinking, thankfully.
  7. Hyyyper, because of the way the trains rest on the track, 4D coasters must have loading sections on either side of the track as the seats overhang and the opposite side is not accessible from one side. Looks like he remembered that important detail. Great work, BTW! I'm proud to have my name on this project!
  8. Thanks for the update, can't wait to see the trains! Always my favorite part of construction...
  9. ^ Speaking of similar paintschemes, that Boomerang has the same paint scheme as SFNE's flashback. Hehe...
  10. Thanks for finally giving me a good idea of what this park will look like Tommy & James. I was surprised and excited to see that the park will have a funhouse-style attraction!
  11. Easy... being with your significant other and just having an all around good time with her.
  12. Must have attracted all of the weirdos from the holes in which they crawl from... just kidding of course! Stunning photos as usual, you really have a way with that camera of yours!
  13. ^ I guess you haven't seen any of the Friday movies... Sorry you don't like it, but I think it looks fine the way it is.
  14. Despite the awful Nor' Easter passing through the area, work crews worked day and night and managed to complete an entire themed area! SAWMILL SUMMIT is now entirely complete, down to the very last spruce tree. Let's take a look... Towards the end of the ride, Diamondback conforms to the hilly terrain, with airtime so good... it'll make you wanna slap yo mama! Thank you for checking out the update, the next project will be finishing the shopping street and hotel. DB takes this helix with a good amount of speed. Diamondback will have riders ducking on this oh-so-close headchopper! Diamondback on its first, 125' drop Let's not forget the new GCI Twister/Out-n-back hybrid: DIAMONDBACK! A second turntable in the cutting room rights the logs before splashing down the final drop. For a moment, riders are tricked into thinking they'll be taking the plunge backwards... High up on the top of Sawmill Summit is TIMBER FALLS, a long relaxing log flume with beautiful scenery and an exciting 65' drop! A pair of S&S towers have also been delivered, take a look at the brand new EVERGREEN SCREAM as they continue to test. Arcadia Point has received its first flat ride from Huss! A giant frisbee appropriately named THE BUZZSAW. View from the parking structure, check out that new coaster! From the top of the "yet to be unvelied" floorless coaster, we get a great view of the new area. The entry gate to Sawmill Summit Sawmill Summit is complete! Looks like there's some major new rides to boot!
  15. My baby! Please let us know when she's good to go... Good thing I didn;t head over there this week.
  16. Always fun to see a first timer's view. Great TR so far, I look forward to seeing the rest of it. Reaaaaaly nice NYC photos you have there..
  17. Thanks for thelinks Gnome, looks pretty impressive! Can't wait to try it out this summer, being a huge walkthru fan.
  18. Yay for a new "standard" B&M! Looks pretty good from the concept art and jarmor's renderings.
  19. ^ What's even weirder is that they used to be affiliated before Kennywood took over. Wayyyy back in the day of course...
  20. I always thought the name "Gyro" would be good for a spinning coaster. Simple and descriptive...
  21. Hey all, I'm going for the first time to Universal Hollywood this summer and I see they have rethemed the van helsing maze into "Universal's House Of Horrors". Has anyone here tried it out yet, and if so, how is it?
  22. Grizzly River Run at DCA, I really love how it surrounds Grizzly Peak and there's alot of nice theming and a really nice drop!
  23. ^ Well said... Alot of the dark rides I've been on outweigh most of the coasters I've been on as far as not knowing what to expect. Nothing better than a ride with great theming and a great story. God I miss Indy...
  24. The Riverside Cyclone used to rape back in the day... it's still pretty rough though. I would have to say early 90's Cyclone is easily the most painful out of the 250+ coasters I've done.
  25. Realistically... the only new coaster for 2007 I'll be riding is Knott's Sierra Sidewinder. Other new credits (to me!) this year will be the Westcoaster, ROTM Hollywood, and the shady looking wild mouse at Adventure City in beuna Park. oh, and I also hope to finally get a ride on Ghostrider. I've been to Knott's 3 times in 2 years and it always seems to be down.
