  1. I kinda like the beige but figured it was just primer. It ought to look real nice with th elight effects though. Way to go on improving your rides this season Morey's! Now PLEASE go get the Golden Nugget running again!
  2. I think I might be able to help... The coaster was constructed primarily by "Littel Construction" (I believe it's spelt that way) out of Southern Cali. I'm not sure what they're address or phone number is but the same construction team is currently working on Tatsu, and has built up the other B&Ms and some other rides in the park. If you could get a hold of them, it would be a great help to you. I know Goliath actually had a problem with the rails lining up towards the ends of construction, they would be able to give you more details on this.
  3. Sad news, indeed, but Mr. O'Brien's words were very appropriate.
  4. Hey there, I have nothing against the creatures, but I just want to change my "Full Fledged Donkey Enthusiast" to something else. I've noticed others have done it, I just haven't been able to figure it out.
  5. Asses are welcome on this forum. As well as theme parks and roller coasters. So don't sweat it.
  6. Wow, very unusual. That's actually a pretty decent drop!
  7. Because it's cheap. I really wouldn't mind checking out one of those custom SLC's, they seem to be getting popular. Aren't they building one in Asia as well?
  8. Ok... I'll bite. How did you ride it 43 and a HALF times? Thanks for the update, looks like a neat park to visit.
  9. I believe this is the same park that tried to sell Pepsi Max as the "biggest" coaster in the world, so honestly it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
  10. Yeah I agree, this park is amazing to look at. I can't wait to see what the flyer will look like once completed. Thank you to those who posted photos of these stealthy little buggers who just popped out from under the radar.
  11. I stayed at Breakers Express and I reccomend it highly. Nothing special, but nice rooms, nice pool. Gonna have to taxi to the park though, it's not really within reasonable walking distance.
  12. Hehehe, well said Guy. When i rode it in October it was looking pretty beat, glad to see it got some attention.
  13. I have been on Kingda Ka, TTD, and Storm Runner, and I prefer Kingda Ka over the other two. I really liked Storm Runner, but I just love 400+ foot vertical dives. I'm going on Xcelerator in May, and Zaturn in 2007, so I'll have more "experience" in the future.
  14. Coasters 1. Intamin Rocket coaster with a mega-coaster style layout 2. B&M Dive Machine 3. Terrain Woodie Thrill Rides 1. Huss Jump2 2. Huss Giant Frisbee 3. Huss Topple Tower 4. KMG Tango 5. Mondial Top Scan 6. Mondial Inferno 7. Fly-by-wire 8. S&S Space Shot Water Rides 1. Hydro-style shoot-the-chute 2. Rapids w/ whirlpool element 3. Interactive water coaster Family Rides 1. Streamlined (futuristic) mini railroad 2. Massive enclosed cabin ferris wheel 3. Classic carousel
  15. I hope they drop the MTV out of the theming. I wouldn't think it would take more than one season to retheme it. I wouldn't panic about the rides getting the axe. They're in great shape and just received a lot of work. There's no business sense to removing the coasters. (yow, PKD has 4 launches now...)
  16. Oh man, lookin' good. Can't wait till the '07 trip.
  17. In the Happy Kingdom pic... Is that a Huss Giant Frisbee or an Intamin Gyro Swing?
  18. Sorry to hear Kumba was closed. I had a similar experience in 2004. I drove all the way up to PCW and sh*t! Sledgehammer, the world's ONLY Huss Jump 2 (I'm a flat ride junkie) was down for maintenance. The one ride I really wanted to do at that park. Kumba does look sharp with the new paint though... As far as Gwazi, one of the tracks always seems to be closed as there just aren't enough people who want to ride the entire attraction to run both sides. BGT is worth it just for SheiKra alone, everything else is just a bonus. Nice photos, bro. Looks like you had a great trip.
  19. I don't think Intamin will ever build another accelerator with lap bars only. I mean, Rita has them, and really doesn't need them.
  20. Is SFMW worth the 5+ hour drive from the LA area? Medusa's Sea Serpent inversions look great but what's everyones overall opinion of the place? Trying to do more than just Disney, SFMM, and KBF for my LA trip this Spring.
  21. Gahhh, I bet it's a 61' tall diving board for a new show.
  22. That aerial shot was just what I was looking for. Can't believe this one got built before we even knew about it.
  23. Whatever it is, it's probably still in the DESIGN phase, as in the only people in the know are designers. The Dippin' Dots guy knows NOTHING, I tell you!
  24. What's interesting was this land was supposed to have both a dragon and a Kraken. Both ideas showed up years later, mere miles away. As far as Journey, I remember seeing concept art showing off what they called a "lava worm". It didn't look anything like TDS' version. Too bad we'll most likely never see a Journey in FL.
