I'm very happy with both new rides, Catapult in particular. I wonder if they'll keep the current color scheme. S&S is really making its name known in New England. Between this and Thunder & Lightning at The Lake, 2006 will be a good season.

I'm pretty sure most parks tell their ride ops not to let riders go for another circuit. Could have to do with getting an accurate turnstile count. I know at SFNE they're strict about making you go around.

Six Flags Great Adventure from the main lot. All the big coasters peeking out from behind all those trees is a beautiful sight.

Well, CF went through it's Intamin phase... buying Steel Venom, Wicked Twister, Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster basically back to back, and in 05 we had nothing new from them at CF parks. Right now, they seem to be buying up B&Ms left and right, Patriot, Silver Bullet, Hydra. I wouldn't be surprised to see a B&M coaster in that location, but I'd expect it to be something unusual, considering GL (which they know own) has Dominator, which make sme think a floorless isn't novel enough. I'd guess either a flying coaster or a dive machine.

It wouldn't take much to change rides like the Tomb Raider top spins to a generic adventure theme. Curious to know what they would do to all the Italian Job coasters that have just popped up, kinda hard to retheme trains shaped like minis.

I'm actually really looking forward to riding this and seeing the rest of La Ronde this year. Not too shabby.

How would one even know what the park is getting in 07 without working in the creative department?

What's up guys? Just got through with filing taxes and it looks like my girlfriend and I are in fact going to Southern California in May. I know a lot of you members live in the area and maybe you could help out, or suggest some changes to what we already have planned. This will be my first time to the state so any tops will be appreciated. We are flying in on Monday, May 15 from Providence to LAX. All we're doing on this day is driving to our hotel in Castaic, and if time permits, visiting SFMM hoping to get rides on at least Tatsu and X. Tuesday, we're spending a full day at Magic Mountain, hitting the secondary rides and anything we liked from the previous afternoon/evening. On this night, we are driving to our hotel in Beuna Park as the park closes early. Wednesday, we will be hitting Knott's Berry Farm. Think one day will be enough time? I'm trying to figure out how crowds will be this time of year. Knott's is supposed to be in walking distance of our hotel. (Day's Inn Beuna Park) Anyone stood there? Is it moderately true? Thursday and Friday will be spent at DLR. We will be buying a two-day park hopper, spending most of Thursday at DCA and Friday at DL since it's open till midnight. Which rides get the longest lines at the two parks? I'm really looking forward to the Indiana Jones Adventure but I hear the lines can get massive. Any tips? On Saturday we will be flying back to Providence. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated, especially in regards to how the crowds are/are kids in school, ride closures etc. Thank you very much for your time.

Our state is so small, almost everyone in it is related to Richard Hatch. Anyways, I've never been on a conventional Disko, but considering the thing's powered I would definately agree that it's just a bizzare flat ride. I think the interactive water thing sounds cool, hope it all fits in the budget.

That's definately ugly... but at least it doesn't take away from the ride experience.

It's possible, I suppose, but as far as I know, Zamperla doesn't offer any curved track on their Disko "coaster" design.

I always seem to ride Maelstrom when I visit Epcot. I mean, after Test Track, Mission Space, and Soarin' I need something else to do. The animatronic troll is pretty cool, as well as the backwards section. Not the most thrilling ride, but still, Disney quality.

I rode SheiKra this past October and out of 250+ coasters I've ridden, I'd put it in my top ten. The fact that it has TWO of those awesome vertical drops, the inversion, and the splashdown, there's no comparing it to Oblivion.

There appears to be 3 cranes on site and construction is underway, check out the blog. Looks like they'll be updating it quite frequently.

I'm going to DLR for the first time in May of this year. I only hope all of the rides you mentioned are running when I get there. Indiana Jones and Cali Screamin' in particular.

I would imagine they'd take no chances with a man that age. You gotta love how the media blows these things up.
