  1. *cough* $20 tickets *cough* chris.
  2. ^ I have found my visits to SFHH (California) to be the most enjoyable of any water park in So Cal. -SFHH has the Black Snake towers, which to me, are the most intense slides in the area. -As long as you go on an off day, I have not had too many problems with lines at the park. It's all about timing. Also remember with safety regulations, the previous rider has to have cleared the splash down before the next person can slide. -Soak City has nothing too extreme. This goes for the one at Knotts, Palm Springs, and inland San Diego. -Wild Rivers is cute, but its more for younger kids. I am SO glad I went with my friends little sisters, otherwise I would have looked totally creepy. -Raging Waters is a really good park, but it is over-run by 909'ers with their offensive tattoos, line cutting, and general ability to make everybody else feel uncomfortable. So there, that's my opinion Chris.
  3. Yeah, I get it, but this is just clearly over some peoples heads. I have said it before in this thread, but I think I'm going to just stop reading it. The majority of the stuff posted here is not weird, or funny; it is either us being incredibly dorky, or just pointing out stupid stuff like a typo. Take a look at the first few pages of the thread before posting your 'Hey, OMG this guy spelled Roller with an 'A. He and Facebook are sOoOo retarded!!!' Chris
  4. ^ Not to be a broken record but THAT IS NOT WEIRD!!! It's a typo, who cares?!?!?!? Chris.
  5. Remember that there IS a ride called Insanity and it is NOT at a CF park. Its the spinning ride on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. I do find it to be appropriately named, though. Chris.
  6. ^^I'm sure you were there for Anberlin, but I would have turned around and come back another day. I just cannot legitimize busy days like that considering the park is open in the winter *and* we have WCB and what not. Chris.
  7. The pretzel loop and immediate spin get me every time. I can sit on roller coasters all day long but just cannot do Tatsu. It kind of sucks! I'm curious as to whether I would be able to handle any of the Supermans or Manta. Chris.[/coastertube]
  8. My least favorite are those terrible OTSR's on Revolution at SFMM. My favorite are the adjustable restraints on X2. They are always a perfect fit and I feel very secure in them. I also like that they feel like you are putting a backpack on LoL. Chris.
  9. Thanks for the report! I love waterpark PTR's, there aren't nearly enough, probably because nobody carries a camera around on the water slides:) I enjoyed reading this. Chris.
  10. If you have not heard the 'Take The Tunnel' audio, it can be heard loud and clear on a recently added video on Six Flags Magic Mountains Facebook page. I think this link will work: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/SixFlagsMagicMountain?v=app_2392950137&viewas=0&ref=nf Chris.
  11. If there was any place in the United States that would allow you to buy pictures of you flipping off / flashing the camera, SCBB is definitely the location I would assume it was going on. The college/hippie/laid back crowd of that area is certainly different from most areas, and to me has always maintained a classic boardwalk feel. Well alright, I'm not even sure what *real* classic feels like, so I guess SCBB is what I would imagine it feeling like. Sure, its a family place, but if you want to pay 9 bucks for that picture, go for it! They will take the 9 bucks! Chris.
  12. I agree that any mouse type ride would not be an ideal investment for SFMM. Besides, we already have one at Knotts. I dont even think a Eurofighter would be a good idea, even though I would love to have one here in socal. A midsize coaster that does NOT appeal to adults, but would appeal to kids making the jump up from Bugs Bunny Land should be what they are looking for if they plan on building a smaller 'family friendly' coaster. Chris.
  13. Since everybody else seems to have 'cool' coasters as their most recent, I had to be honest and post mine: The Santa Monica West Coaster Yeah baby!!!
  14. To be honest, I have no idea what the WF means, but ummm, my name is Chris. I really have no idea what I was thinking when I made my sn. Chris.
  15. This is just a random comment about the 'Where would a drop tower go?' debate: So I was thinking about the park and its bizarre layout when I started thinking about that dead Scream/Colossus corner. I mean, Scream really isn't a bad ride, yet it has pretty much THE shortest lines in the park. Is it because it is so out of the way that people forget about it? Well, first I thought to myself 'maybe they can connect the path back around to Yosemite Sam Sierra Falls or something like that. You know, create a 'loop' instead of a dead end. Upon looking at a Google map, this seems pretty out of the question as it would be a long useless path. Then, I noticed that there is a great chunk of land between Colossus and Scream that would be perfect for a flat ride! Why not put a descent marketable flat right there? I really think it would help to spread the crowd around the park, because I do believe that once you give the crowd another reason to venture over there, Scream is capable of attracting a sizable line. I know Scream is not the greatest ride ever, but for how new it is, I am astonished at how short the line always is. We are almost spoiled by it considering how long people are waiting to ride Bizarro and what not. Thoughts? Chris.
  16. Wait, there is a new park in New Jersey and Big Mike didn't sniff it out first??? Wow. Chris.
  17. ^Regarding the roughness, always remember to have your heavier rider on the outside seat. Once I learned this little trick I didnt have as much of a problem with the ride. I too, have had friends that did not understand how X's mechanics work. It's understandable though. He thought it free rotated, and has been on it multiple times, too! It was kind of annoying because I was with a group of smart people, and I really don't like breaking out the 'Roller Coaster Dork' card. In this case, though, I think it was necessary, and pretty easy to explain as I was able to point out the different locations of the X track at different moments of the ride. Anyway, just thought I would share the random story. Chris.
  18. ^I agree. I believe the gyro drop would have better capacity than our fabled spinning mouse ride. My experience with mouse rides in major theme parks has always been one with a very slow moving line. I mean, even at the county fair, the spinning mouse line is over an hour long every year. Chris.
  19. I dont mean to backseat moderate, but if you search for 'Disneyland Paris,' 72 different threads come out. I'm sure you can figure out for yourself whether or not it's worth it based on a few of those 72 threads. Sorry, I'm just tired of seeing TPR cluttered with 'Going to Knotts...need advice' and 'Should I visit Kennywood?' threads. The answers are in the search function!!! Chris.
  20. ^It's okay. There was a point in my life where I INSISTED they were running three trains on Batman. Its amazing what we can convince ourselves. Chris.
  21. For the record: I recently acquired a magical TPR pen, and immediately sent it through the washing machine and dryer. Im happy to announce that not only it did not stain all of my clothing (or any of it!), but it also still works like a charm. Amazing. Chris.
  22. From what I have been on, I will go with Tatsu, simply because it is the first and only ride that I do not go on anymore at the park. I rode it a few times, and just get sick after the pretzel loop. I'm out of commission for about an hour. NO other coaster in the park does that to me!!!! Chris.
  23. Mike, This is not my first post, but its my 300th, and I thought I would give it to you. Why not, right? (end useless post) Chris.
  24. I actually own that roller coaster VHS video where Ron Toomer is bending a coat hanger. It's definitely a classic. Chris.
  25. Perilous Plunge at KBF. I get nervous every time. Freefall (rip!) at SFMM. Drop towers don't do it to me, I get more nervous on the elevator in the Sky Tower at SFMM. Something about large manmade objects at a high elevation freaks me out. Dams, for example also scare the crap out of me. I dunno. Chris.
