You seem like a very negative person. I like to have fun at theme parks and appreciate them.....seems somebody from Arizona would do the same! -
This whole 'muggles' thing REALLY bugs me.

I just wanted to point out that the article referred to the Harry Potter area at IOA as a theme park...... -

Ok. Nobody has mentioned the girl taking her pants off in the Rapids sign photo. I thought that was awesome, purely for the creepy picture factor. -
OK guys, no need to prove how straight you are Seriously though, there are more 'normal' gay guys out there than the world thinks. Many gay-hating religious freaks absolutely love their gay co-workers and just have no idea. It's kind of fun that way

fluffy, fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo That was a tough paragraph to read. -
I have seen the ticket system used at SFMM off and on my whole life. Definitely on Riddlers Revenge, Batman, even Psyclone when it was good. They take it seriously, too. My friend accidentally threw her ticket out with her garbage and they wanted to eject her from the park at the front of the line. Fortunately, the folks behind us vouched for her presence and they let her on. The numbers were allowed to be quite off, I think by at least 20. It is blatantly obvious when the numbers are only off by a little here and there, and then all the sudden there is somebody who's number is 200 off. A line jumper does not just pass 15 people, they JUMP the line. Hence the term. The only problem is that this system requires 2 employees and a great deal of 'non green' paper wasting. One security guard watching the most prone section of the queue would be more cost effective for the park, and would take care of the problem ON THE SPOT, which most honest people love seeing. Nonetheless, the ticket system worked really well and kept the line moving.

I just want to randomly mention that coming from Los Angeles, Wyoming is quite a lonely place for the gay. Nonetheless people out here understand that it is who I am and not a choice. What kind of person would 'choose to be gay?' Really? I mean, I know were trendy and awesome and everything but its not exactly a world you willingly step into. Sorry, but if you are still on the 'its a choice' bandwagon you need to do some research. I know that can be your 'opinion' and all, but that's just like your 'opinion' of 2 + 2 equaling 3,596. It is incorrect. I can't just sit by idle when I see comments like that, especially in such a community as accepting as TPR (even though it was a few pages back). Chris.

I don't think anybody calls it Disney's California Adventure. Everybody I talk to just calls it California Adventure. Or California Land. Or The California Park Thing Next To Disneyland. Or That Other Park At Disneyland. But never Disney's California Adventure. I don't think anybody will care about or notice the name change.

Well, I think Dance Coaster is MUCH better than the two kiddie coasters we already have, although having two other [roller skaters] ALREADY in so cal, I can see that it is useless. I DO think it would be more popular than Thomas and Canyon Blaster, but you are probably right about it not fitting into the business strategy that SFMM is known for. The only other defense I have is that SFSL is not a Flagship Park, as SFMM is. I just think the 100k upkeep, while expensive to you and I, is pennies compared to any of the other major rides. You are probably right, as I completely respect your well versed experience in the business. I guess I am just being forum-ey about it all I suppose we will see what happens! Being SO FAR from any other children rides, maybe it would be more successful being called 'Babysitter: The Ride?'

I agree with you Robb, but I still want to believe that the money on the Dance Coaster has already been spent, and that it will come as a 'family bonus' with any major attraction announced for 2011. Maybe not, the trivial amount of money spent on such a small coaster would be an easy addition to attract the 'family crowd' that SFMM has been so eager to gain, that I don't think it would be worth it to the park to just re-ship it somewhere else. I say, open it in addition to whatever awesome may be coming in 2011. In my weird mind, I really think that would be a valuable marketing tool.
