"Upside-down rollercoaster". Who else is betting this is one of those Vekoma kiddie inverts? Also, I'm worryed that this might delay or shoot down the plans for a Eurofighter -
If you could modify one part of any ride...
asr replied to Vekoma Fan Boy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
How about give Maverick a small, intense vertical loop after the first drop. And give it lap bars only. Would be alot of fun. And maybe a vertical loop on Millennium Force. -
Maverick (Inversions and midcourse launch), Millennium Force (Massive size), S:ROS SFNE (Airtime and twister finale), Expedition G-Force (The twisted drop), and Goliath SFOG (insane looking helix). That should make one crazy gigalooper

Lets talk about the Family Entertainment Center
asr replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have a place called 202 sports a 10 or 15 minute drive from my house, that has a resteraunt, ice cream stand, driving range, batting cage, minigolf, and gokarts. Just a little further down the road from it, there is another mini-golf place that I forget the name of. For the most part, I don't care at all about either of them, I'd rather just take the hour and a half drive to SFNE. -
What Are Your "Coaster Goals" For 2007?
asr replied to jappi's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My only real goal for 2007 is to get out to Sandusky and ride Maverick and the coasters I didn't get to go on when I was at CP summer of '05. And I would like to get down to SFGAdv again and ride Kingda Ka and El Toro, which where closed when I visited last spring. -
Cedar Fair and Trash cans
asr replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Trash can overload or no trash can overload, Dorney's midways atleast in that section look alot nicer then most of SFNE. -

The first "launch" is on the lift hill, and is probably isn't any faster then Millennium Force's lift hill. -
Just for your information, Viper is 200 foot tall, 7 inversion monster with enough headbanging to scare off even the most hardened enthusist. Discalaimer: I haven't actually ridden Viper, just it's sister GASM, which hurt like hell, so that is what I'm basing my opionion of Viper on.

It really does look good, but I have to ask, is that everything? I would have thought that there would be more too it. t looks like there is only 4 or 5 attractions in there, even Walt Disney Studios in Paris wasn't that small when it opened. No offence meant, it is a nice park, and the only real problem I can think of is the size. If you can keep up the qaulity with future expansions, it will be a great park. Although, now that I think of it, the rocket bugs me too. It looks like you could have done so much more with it.

I hate all of you. I have two walk-in closets in my bedroom along, with plenty of other closets across the house, and everyone but ME gets to have a rollercoaster in their closet! Joking aside, I would say that my closet coaster is Cyclone at SFNE. In the front row, I can see how people would not like if they rode in the front, but in the back, it rocks out loud.

Theme Park for Nintendo DS
asr replied to Zen Coaster's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
For all you people bashing it, i'm betting that this will be twice as realistic as ThrillVille, and more focused on what is important in theme park games. No, not bumper car minigames and flirting with the guests, actually managing the park... -
Cyclone at SFNE. It's rough almost to the point of being painfull, but it is less painfull then Batman across the park in my opinion. In most seats, t doesn't give a spectacular ride, but in the back, it is one of the crazyiest coaster expierences on earth. It is number 3 on my top ten coasters, behind only Millennium Force and Superman Ride of Steel.

I could earlier today. The available games are; NES; Donkey Kong Mario Brothers Pinball SNES; F-Zero Sim City N64; Super Mario 64 Sega Genesis; Altered Beast Sonic the Hedgehog No Turbografx games are available yet. I got to play Wii Sports, I played Bowling, Tennis and Baseball. Baseball was kinda wierd, but that's understandable, because I know nothing about the rules of Baseball. Bowling is fun, but not the best out of the ones I've played, and Tennis is really fun and addictive, but that might just be because I'm a tennis player myself. I didn't play Golf, because my brother played it and it didn't look much fun, and I didn't play Boxing because I don't have more extra Nunchuks to go with my extra remotes, and I wanted to play multiplayer. I haven't played Zelda yet, but it looked like a lot of fun when my brother played it. I'm starting to get the hang of Red Steel, it's actually kinda fun now. I still can't get very far in the game though, the farthest I can get is when you get to the room with the big windows looking into it. My dad managed to get to the roof though. So far, the Wii is great, and I can't wait for Sonic and the Secret of the Rings and Super Smash Brothers Brawl to come out. SaSoR looks like they took the only good parts of Sonic the Hedgehog for Xbox 360 and built a whole game out of that, and SSBB is like Super Smash Brothers Melee for Gamecube, but online, which should be awesome. -

I just got back from playing. The system itself is awesome, and the Mii chanel is pretty fun as well. The only game I played was Red Steel, and it sucked. The controls are terrible, way to inprecise, you can just barely control the game. The graphics where Gamecube qaulity. I could only get to just past where the guy is telling you that the girl and her father are escaping in a Helicopter, I died shortly after that. My brother is playing Wii Sports now. It doesn't look very fun either, but I bet it will be fun when I play it. -

I got mine 3 hours ago. I haven't played it yet, because my mom said that I have to wait for my dad to set it up. I have two extra Wiimotes, Zelda, and Red Steel. I will review the system and games later after I play them. -

B&M coaster contest(RCT3)
asr replied to colossus's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I finished the track layout earlier this morning, no I need to add scenary, custom supports, and pathways. I also whipped up this backstory for the ride based on Islamic myth; "Long ago, a great city was built in deserts of arabia. It was named Iram, and was the city for those who followed the teachings of a famed prophet. But when this prophet died, a greedy high priest became the city's king, and it became the wealthiest city on earth. But then, a new prophet came from the desert, and told the priest that it was the will of god for the city to have a new king be elected. The prophet warned the king that the city had been seen by the eye of god as sinfull. The priest sneared at the prophet, and had him executed the next day. But then, something terrible happened, the ground began to rumble, the skies turned black, and fire poured from the earth. The city was engulfed in this terror, and it sunk beneath the sands, never to be seen again. Many heard the legends of the great city of Iram, but none who tried could ever find it. Until, one fatefull day, a team of treasure hunters re-discovered the ancient city in the early 1930s. Some seventy years later, this city opened it's gates once more. It had become a massive muesuem to ancient arabic culture, and tourists flocked to it in the hundreds of thousads, maybe even millions. But, the city of Iram still held the ghosts of it's long-dead inhabitants. Perhaps the devil himself now walks within these city walls..."
