  1. Dear Mirabilandia, Please make it an Intamin hyper coaster. Floater airtime is for wimps. Cheers, Ginzo
  2. I was one of those lucky souls. What a shame. As someone who grew up going to this park, I totally agree with this.
  3. And this is why the wireless DS is going to be the best thing ever.
  4. Best. Idea. Ever. I just spent 5 days at WDW, and I can't even begin to contemplate how useful this would have been in using my time optimally. And it could really save wear 'n tear my feet as well.
  5. Dinn coasters aren't known for their quality. Do you really think that a bottom 5 coaster (Mitch's Poll) can be saved merely by installing new trains? Predator is one of the worst things that I've ever ridden, and probably has more problems than are cost effective to fix. Why not replace it with a turnkey woodie, like a GCII? As for the park, I spent 3 hours there tops. Superman was good, but I didn't enjoy anything else there. To me it's just your standard concrete slab with overpriced concessions.
  6. Seeing as I'm not that big of a fan of simulators or 4-D shows, another coaster would be a GREAT addition to the studios side.
  7. Although this is nowhere near enough to turn Darien Lake into a good park, it's nice to see the new owners giving this run down park some love. Torching Predator and replacing it with a woodie that won't turn you into a quadriplegic would be a nice thing for them to do next.
  8. I had OK luck with Sea Bands in reducing car sickness and motion sickness from certain flat rides. It's probably just a dumb placebo, but it did seem to help. Considering that they only cost a few dollars, they're worth trying. And they're so chic.
  9. OMG! OMG! OMG! I just watched the POV. I had no idea this thing was going to look so amazing. As long as those hills rock the strong -G's, this should easily stomp El Toro & Balder. US parks wake up!
  10. Maybe the Gravity Group should brag about that on their website. TGG Coasters: Not For Little Girls!
  11. Wow. Some of those parents of handicapped children think that they own the place. I remember being held up for the back seat of El Toro while the ride manager took 15 minutes explaining to some idiots that they had to register with guest relations to receive line bypassing privileges. The parents ran the "let's play dumb and stand here" tactic, until the manager finally coaxed them out.
  12. I just came across the following review on AllEarsNet.COM: Since a$$wipe parents like that refuse to keep their kids on leashes, it seems that Disney should broaden this rule to include a few more of the upscale restaurants. Here's another similar review:
  13. Could you please make this topic more specific? Maybe paste the story into the original post. As for banning kids at Victoria & Albert's, why not? Edit: Thanks Jahan!
  14. No, I think the coat hangers deserve the credit.
  15. You've got a much nicer launch coaster just a short drive away from you at Knott's. Hypersonic was very herky jerky after the first hill, not as a steel coaster should be at all.
  16. I heard "wretched bodies" 2 weeks ago when I was at Magic Kingdom. It wasn't a crucial component of the experience. I'd be fine with no spiel from the CMs at all.
  17. They have at least two Intamins: Drop Zone and the Eiffel Tower.
  18. As someone who usually ignores pre-shows, I wouldn't expect this change to alter the Haunted Mansion experience to any significant extent. There is definitely room for improvement here though.
  19. Nostradamus predicted that the world is going to outlast this crappy thread.
  20. You know she's hit bottom when she loses custody to K-Fed. K-Fed, the responsible parent.
  21. Vista? I'm still using Windows 2000. I have an older PC, and 2000 is really stable. I wouldn't dream of using a Microsoft OS in the first year, especially not one with as much new code as Vista has. Who wants to pay to be a beta tester? Let them debug it first.
  22. Airfare to tropical islands is expensive. Let's give them all Kings Island season passes instead.
  23. Your best bet is probably the Holiwood Nights enthusiast event then. I imagine they'll put in a fair amount of effort to get the woodies in top form for that. And it's early enough in the season that any miscellaneous problem areas that they re-tracked in the off season won't have had enough time to get shredded again. Oh, and several hours of night rides!
