How does one get to meet Robb and Elissa?
disneyfan1313 replied to jedimaster1227's topic in Ask Alvey
Since all the friggin hilarious replies have already been taken.. I will do the serious one To meet Robb and Elissa you can do a number of things... 1) Go to one of their publicly announced meets. Most of these do take place in California, but they do occasionally have them in Orlando as well. 2) Pure. Dumb. Luck. - This happens more than you realize! A surprisingly large number of people recognize Robb and Elissa while they just happen to be walking through a park either on an announced or unannounced trip. Heck, Stacey and I ran into them while we were both dining in one of the most random, out of the way, Indian restaurants in Orlando. If you do happen to see them, approach slowly and do not make any sudden movements. An offering of McDonalds or a large Rodent is appropriate if you would like to be able to speak 3) Go on one of the group trips! You are guaranteed a large amount of R&E time! You are in Orlando... do you work at one of the parks? You might see them some day while you are at work if that is the case! -

I'm with dave on questioning where all the cleavage pics are! That is totally the only reason to go to Ren Fairs! -
Awesome trip report! I really enjoyed Rye Playland as well - I just wish I had more time than the two hours I did there. The old mill is seriously the longest dark ride ever. Perhaps its just the random periods of pitch black but it seemed to take forever!

Whhhhhaaa? I think the upgrades to DL's Space Mountain were *huge* - the whole attraction feels new and modern and the special f/x and new sound track really tie it together. -

I asked at EB tonight (while pre-ordering Stacey's collector edition copy of Final Fantasy XII) and they said that even if they finalize everything tomorrow the soonest they would probably start taking pre-orders is Friday. But he said to check tomorrow anyway. -
Please don't post threads like this. you can check out www.knotts.com out for information on what rides are currently closed and your best bet is to give them a call before you go to the park on the day of. Thanks! Thread Locked.

A one day park hopper was not even offered as an option until the Magic Your Way tickets started a year and a half ago. Before that if you wanted to go into multiple parks on the same day you had to buy individual 1day tickets at each one. The reason why? Very few people can/want to do more than one WDW park in a day just as Robb said below.

Sorry but this thread is locked as well. If you have any issues with the thread being locked please direct it in a PM to the Mod who locked your thread or to Robb. Starting a thread like this just to complain is not going to earn you many points however. I am sorry the other thread was closed but decisions have to be made about what is going to get responses and what is going to clutter up the board and sometimes they are tough decisions. Plus having no links and just 1 sentence did not help things either.

Don't take my word for it.... Go to the library and look up the Orlando Sentinel (lexus-nexus) articles about the topic (from late last year). They did a full week of stories on the Deterioration of Magic Kingdom. They took pictures of buildings on Main Street that were closed "for renovation" -- when they were actually suffering structural failures from neglect. They even tied several recent accidents to poor maintenance. The last time I went, several of the attractions had broken animatronics and dirty bathrooms. This never would have happened in the '80s, but Eisner's last 5 years of cost cutting has taken its toll. Sigh. Just as you enjoy Cypress Gardens and are a bit biassed to it - you can tell by my handle that I am a bit biased to WDW, and that is not going to change for either of us and I respect your opinion. But with that said.... The articles you are referring to focused on issues that DisneyLAND had .. not WDW. Although they did throw in a few random WDW pictures here and there to try and confuse the reader and to get people to buy papers. Buildings closed on Main Street for renovation... Whats wrong with that? That happens all the time and helps keep up the pristine image. IMHO the parks here and at DL look better today than at any point within the last 10 years...but we all have clouded glasses that we look through, mine are probably a bit rose colored and you and the sentinels a bit greyish. The Orlando Sentinel is KNOWN for being very biased against WDW... unfortunately many of the long term Orlando residents feel that way as well (in stark contrast to the OC and LA residents around DL). People in Orlando have a tendency to forget that if it was not for WDW - Orlando would be nothing more than a place on the interstate to stop and get gas on the way to Tampa. -
OK - I'm locking this so it is no more painful of a death than it has to be. This would be an appropriate post for the "Say Something Random" stickie or the "I have an odd fetish for a B-List celebrity that no one else has" topic if we had one.
