  2. Woo-Hoo! That did not take too long at all... I can't wait to see the results this year!
  3. ^^ I tried to see it last night but it was sold out everywhere in Orlando. I will have to catch it in a few days!
  4. Since today is Halloween and the final night of HHN for another year I thought I would post some of the photos of Robosaurus that I took last week. The um.. "storyline" is that the Zombies have gotten worse in Deadtropolis and the only thing that can scare them away is Robosaurus. It was really cool and a great addition to HHN. Robo is happy and the Zombies are dead...er DeadER. There are also supplementary F/X in addition to what Robo provides. He throws the car down and fire and flames are everywhere. He has got the car and now is chomping on it! He rears us and spits fire for about 5 minutes in addition to moving his ears, blinking lights and a 1000 other movements. It is surprisingly detailed. He approaches his victim car! Puffs of fire ROCK! Robo comes to life in the distance and starts rumbling down the street. BRAINS! The zombies swarm the area before Robo comes out.
  5. The TPR Hoodie Rocks! With the recent drop in temperatures here in Central Florida, it got a workout the other night at Halloween Horror Nights. Here is a pic of the hoodie in action! Stacey wanted to wear it in front of the future "2007 Golden Ticket Award Winner". Boo-yah!
  6. Congrats! I know you guys will be amazing parents - plus it means I will get you on attractions at WDW that you wont go on now..and that makes me happy!
  7. So for those of you who were on the trip... Remember how it was 95 degrees and really hot and sweaty every day? Well now that you have left the temperatures have DROPPED. I needed a jacket today. WTF?!?! Quit bringing weird weather with you!!
  8. Dave *hearts* the strobes - we actually need to put strobes in his room next year to wake him up in the morning.. I want to echo everyone else and say that Stacey and I had an amazing time as always thanks to R&E. If anyone has a chance to go on one of their trips you need to...the enthusiasim and planning are amazing and non-stop. Plus the crap that happens when you put all of us together....
  9. The best way to sum up the differences between HoS and HHN is ... HoS - All startles as scares with OK Makeup and Costumes with great looking sets in the houses (although the have the same ones each year). HHN - Actually tries to *frighten* you and uses movie studio quality costumes, makeup and f/x and lighting. HoS was a fun event that would be amazing if it was anywhere else in the country (except perhaps SoCal) where you would not compare it to HHN.
  10. Barry... I think you putting "Surfing the Disboards" on the description of a hell house is the funniest thing you have ever written.. EVER. And no.. I have never been nor do I have any intention of doing so. I think they are a baptist thing mostly.
  11. Can you get some audio of the pool alarm.. IT ROCKS!!
  12. I just noticed Erik does not have an EMH wristband... Hmmmmmmmmmm I wish I didn't have to leave early - it looks like I missed out on all crazy antics.
  13. Good luck!!! Remember if you work for San Angel Inn you work for an outside company - not Disney (although you do get most of the same benefits). The merchandise and attractions mean you work for WDW (if you get a choice).
  14. I remember there being a nice hotel pretty much in the parking lot of Six Flags - In looking at the choices on the Six Flags St Louis Hotels website - www.sixflags.com/parks/stlouis/Lodging/index.html I am guessing it is the days inn. There are not a lot of hotels in the immediate area and that is probably the only one you could walk from.
  15. I love seeing all the differences in the Halloween events throughout the country. Is Knotts all about the generic rubber masks or do they do more actual makeup and f/x in other areas?
  16. The first couple of photos were a little redneck scary with the random hand on the door, the beer and the shotgun...but it got much better after that. I give it an A for appetizing!
  17. There is no reason a B&M floorless should make the noises or vibrations that Scream does. //Shudder
  18. Thank you for taking the time to post...but PLEASE take a look at other topics and use search. There was 2 topics within 1 page of your post. Take a look here - http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25723 Thread LOCKED.
  19. I don't think it was ...."Cypress Gardens Phobia" bad... it was just about what I expected from Six Flags. I thought it was odd that most of the scaractors were from an outside Halloween company that puts on events like this yet they had about as much energy and motivation scaring as if they *were* six flags employees that were moved from being a "Dipping Dots" salesman to "Werewolf" for the day..
  20. Man - I feel like I missed out on the fun part by leaving early! It was great to meet you guys as well. Have fun on the rest of your trip!
  21. Great TR! It was very interesting to see the differences yet similarities in the HHN events - I would love to see it out there one year to be able to compare. Did the concept of an overarching storyline with the Director play well? Did they use him in a similar way that they did in Orlando with the opening events and on the street? I am sad to see there was no Bill and Ted show - I actually think it might play well out there if they spin it as being "Retro" - stuff like that seems to play well in LA.
  22. IOA *really* needs another attraction and I do think this would fit the bill very well. I unfortunately think that it is unlikely we would see something like this today.
  23. Yep! It was one of the last projects that Walt fully worked on and it would have been pretty darn cool if it ever had been built. I think we see some of the spirit of it live on in the "Adventures By Disney" concept to a lesser extent. I have a feeling it would still be going and popular today if it had happened.
  24. Thanks for the link! No - no f/x were working on the demon at all except audio in the queue and right after dispatch. No smoke, no lights, no water, no nothing!
  25. Awesome TR! I love seeing these random parks in Europe. The french fry guy looks stoned!
