The link below is an interesting video of some guys who are playing the Wii in a movie theater with a homemade sensor bar. Biggest. Screen. Ever. -

Well I downloaded the beta version of the web browser and tried a few times to post on TPR but it doesn't seem to like to actually post. It will let me read all I want but no further than that. I'll try again when it is not 4 in the morning At least perhaps I was the first person to read TPR on a Wii? -

The Opera web browser should be active in a few hours! I don't think there will be a free game on Xmas - but nintendo has announced what will be released on Dec. 25 and Jan 1st on the VC (from Gamespot) For its own part, Nintendo is releasing the original NES classic Super Mario Bros. for 500 Wii points ($5). Backing up the company’s portly plumbers will be a pair of best sellers from the Super Nintendo era: Capcom’s Street Fighter II: The World Warrior and Konami’s Super Castlevania IV. Each of those games will sell for 800 Wii points ($8). The final two games announced for release Christmas Day are pulled from non-Nintendo platforms. The Sega Genesis game ToeJam & Earl dances its funky way onto the Virtual Console, followed by the TurboGrafx-16 shoot-’em-up R-Type, both for 800 Wii points ($8). The R-Type price is notable since all previous TurboGrafx-16 games on the Virtual Console have sold for 600 Wii points ($6). Finally, Nintendo also announced a pair of games that would be released for the Virtual Console the Monday after Christmas, New Year’s Day. The publisher will start the new year by swinging for the fences with Baseball and fighting in the streets with Urban Champion. Both games debuted on the NES and will sell for 500 Wii points ($5). -

I've become adicted to Monkey Ball in single player mode - some of the levels are EVIL though. There are some great multiplayer games - the problem is there are clouded by the horribly crappy ones around them! -

I will also say the forecast channel rocks! I love how its "Google Earthish". The Web Browsing channel will be released as a beta test on Dec 22 BTW - you will have to D/L the opera browser from the Wii Shop channel but it will be free until next summer. Yae for Wii updates! -
I LOVED Surge! There is actually quite a market for it on Ebay - if you have any left you can actually sell it for a decent amount. Single cans are going for around $10 and upopened single serve bottles $20.

Amazon.com is doing a special version of its "Customers Vote" promotion to give people a chance to buy a Wii or PS3. It doesn't cost anything to enter and you may get a chance to purchase one on Tuesday. Heres the link -
Random TR: Preparing for Christmas

Real xmas trees rock! Except my cat eats the needles then throws up (repeat cycle endlessly). I was surprised to see the Lexus in your TR Joe - When did they start allowing vehicles other than pickup trucks in rural georgia? -
Six Flags Conference Call 12/12
disneyfan1313 replied to RagingBullFan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Meh. Nothing too surprising. It was interesting to hear they are continuing to push for the younger demographic. Soccer Moms = Cash - but do soccer moms have much interest yet in Six Flags? I am however a bit confused by the Cold Stone Creamery announcement.. only one location will have an actual cold stone... WTF is the point then!?!?! -
I've heard that as well. I hope so! I think they are one of the best teams to ever play - Rob actually gets the fact that IT IS A RACE! Nothing will ever beat him convincing other teams to quit and take a penalty to help him. He is a friggin genius.

SPOILERS OF WHO IS PROBABLY IN ALL-STARS BELOW!!! SPOILERS!! They are filming All-Stars right now and they have had folks take pics of a couple of the contestant pairs. Don't read below if you don't want to know who is competing. Uchenna and Joyce The Guidos The Barbies from this last one Myrna and Shmirna or whatever her name was "AIR-RO-PLANE... like this (twirls around)" Those are the only ones i've heard for sure.

Wow! What a good ending to a good season. I won't spoil it but I was happy with the results and with the season overall. It started out very slow but the last 5 or 6 episodes were pretty good! I am *very* excited to see they are doing an Amazing Race All - Stars starting in February. They said the teams have not been announced yet but who do you think they may be?
-
*Sigh* I'm not going to get into a semantics argument with you over this but needless to say.. Coaches corner and the activity monitors have been closed since metlife dropped sponsorship due to the tie-ins that they both contained. If you want to see it act as a relief for other attractions then visit it during the week from xmas-new years when the park is extremely busy. You will see lines which are generally longer than Imagination.

1/2 of its exhibits? 1 "exhibit" is closed/covered up and that is the wonder cycles. All the other sensory exhibits were working along with its 3 attractions. The gift shop and food location are closed and have been for years. It is worth opening up during the busy season because when Test Track and Soarin both have 120 minute waits this gives folks another option. It helps spread out the crowds as well! Sure it is not the most popular of busy pavilion but it serves its purpose this time of year. By your logic the movie in France should be shuttered because it plays to only 5 or 10 people most of the day... that is a dangerous path to go down.

I would love to use that philosophy on Animal Kingdom too! Blow it up, start again, include both Everest and Beastly Kingdom, dump Dinoland U.S.A and build a huge B&M hyper that spans the entire park. That is my dream Animal Kingdom! I *seriously* hope you are kidding. You do realize that a park does not have to have thrill rides in every square inch to be enjoyable and beautiful right? Anyways - WoL actually seemed in great condition to me. I have been there a few times so far since it reopened and it looked in better shape than last year. Yes, it is a bit dated but it is also a seasonal 'filler' attraction.

Hey Guys! Just to give you a little background on this whole situation and why the name was changed to "Tommy Tutone"... Unfortunately a few days ago a formal complaint was filed against TPR Industries by a few members of the board who were apparently part of the fan base of Tommy Tutone. These members felt that they were being unfairly treated because of their affection for his catchy tunes and 80's good looks. This complaint was filed through the FCC against TPR Industries and part of the settlement agreement between the parties was to change the subforum name to "Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Tommy Tutone!". There were various other arrangements between the parties as well such such as purchasing a set amount of Tommy Tutone CD's and signing on TPR as a sponsoring member in the fan club (This is actually great for TPR as it will get the board mentioned in the liner notes of his next CD if and when one is made!). This goes to show what happens when you chose to file a *formal* complaint.. it is taken very seriously!

I just got my Wii also! Got to Target at around 5:45 this morning and was about #15 in line. They had around 30 units so I probably could have gotten there a little later but better safe than sorry! We grabbed Super Monkey Ball and a Points card as well (gonna buy Zelda and Bonks Adventure in a few). Super Monkey Balls controlls seem to be a bit wonky when compared to the Wii Sports, but I am assuming it is because it uses the sensor bar for the mini-games more. Yae!
