  1. That woodcarving picture was from the middle of the Trabant ride...... http://www.ridezone.com/parks/oh/cedarpoint/schwabinchen1-6.jpg
  2. ^This is my thoughts exactly on the whole issue of the launched rides. Ka and Dragster do nothing for me, I like mine to last a little longer and offer something else than that one trick.
  3. The Allegany County Fair in Cumberland Maryland is here in 2 weeks with a credit for anyone in the area!!! http://times-news.com/local/x383292641/Wild-Mouse-to-invade-fairgrounds
  4. ?? Everytime I ride I go for the last car and get some pretty good floater air the whole way down the first drop, second drop, and third drop! I don't understand the banking issues either, I thought the turns were all taken pretty well. And as far as the bunny hills, isn't that what they were designed for............
  5. Not sure about the crowds, but I got an email from them that July 6 & 8 are BOGO days when purchased at the main gate.
  6. Mean Streak was real good for that. I think it has to do with the amount, or lack thereof, grease on the tack. It is metal on metal squealing that you hear.
  7. Someone remind me again why the got rid of White Water Landing?? Does the boat run on some sort track, it looks like it from the POV......
  8. Here is a link to a website that might provide you some help. Usually I just search the "park name" followed by "coupons/codes" and check around the first few options that come up on google. It mostly provides the locations you can pick up the tickets or the coopuns for the discounts at the park. http://www.mahalo.com/kings-dominion-coupons
  9. Why is it that whenever I put X D it comes out as I like small boys in tights. ? Do you? LMAO Just kidding, there are a few words you will have to watch out for. I think it is hilarious when they pop into the posts like that........
  10. ^ Nice review. I also find with the FoF rides that Premier seems to have that "room" issue on their trains as well. There is really no room for marginal error in tall people as to where to cram your legs into the cars. Hopefully be getting up that way in the next few weeks to give this thing a whirl, looks pretty sweet!
  11. You do know that most "short" track NASCAR races are 500 laps....you should make this your goal for the season. The Carowinds 500 LMAO!!!
  12. Sometimes there is a train passing by as the boat hits the bottom of the chute... it generally sprays up and around the riders, getting them wet, but not soaked. It's a rare occurrence, but it does happen if the timing is right. Cool, that would be a good interaction if more parks could've planned them that way.
  13. Question about the Splashwater Falls video.....When it lands in the pool, is there a chance if the Mine Train was in the right spot it would get some of the passengers wet? At the 33 sec. mark it looks like it gives the track a pretty good shot?
  14. Not sure how it is gonna ride on the steel rails, but with a wooden coaster that size it seems to me that you have to deafen everyone just to get the point across. Most coasters of that general size that I have ridden are pretty damn loud anyhow, I couldn't imagine trying to add any kind of audio to it........especially "Boot Scootin Boogie" or "All My Rowdy Friends" LMAO!!!!
  15. BTW, did anyone notice the amount of negative comments under the video!!
  16. They really sped the trims up before the second drop. Looks alot better now!
  17. Actually KD and HP are closer to DC than BG.......
  18. "It may not be a sitdown or a steel coaster as listed above." - According to RCDB With info like this, how can you go wrong!! LMAO
  19. What would you classify the Gemini at CP? I consider that to be a steel coaster.......
  20. OH those prissy french!!!! LMAO
  21. One thing I noticed about KD is there really isn't much in the line of actual rides. They have some great coasters, but other than that there isn't much else.
  22. I could see maybe 2 days at KD if you wanna do the waterpark too. My last visit was 2 days over Labor Day weekend last year and that was nice because we stayed right there at the park and didn't have to "rush" our way through everything. BG always seems to be doable in 1 day, unless like KD, you wanna run down the road to Water Country USA.
  23. Four of us spent 3 nights at Lighthouse Point and it was quite comfortable. There is "limited" cooking available and you have a semi private deck overlooking the bay/lake. I don't believe it was all that expensive and is still within walking distance.
