  1. Here is some of Shane's stuff that I sent him...... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=40361&p=975048&hilit=Six+Flags+Atlantis#p975048 Here is a post in another thread I found...... Search on face book for "Remembering Six Flags Atlantis" and you will find hundreds of pictures, etc. Even some first years and when they also had the rides. sigh. this too...... http://www.afn.org/~afn04050/level/atlantis/atlantis.html
  2. I always like the cathedral look of the arches in the Shockwave station. credit some dude on RCDB
  3. I honestly think Paramount ruined all the parks they touched!Hopefully these new owners see it for what it is worth and turn it back around, if not go really retro and take it to more of a traditional type park. That would make more sense with a ball field coming in next door.
  4. Holy crap, how did you all get started on writing LNM off?? Unless it rusts all the way through to the point of disrepair, it aint going anywhere anytime soon......or later! On Verbolten, it will be nice to see exactly how it is gonna utilize the drop to the river and if it will be as effective as BBW's drop.
  5. Thanks to all for clearing that up, I always heard the GC was the better of all the Cyclone rip offs.
  6. Just got through the update and it looked amazing. POV's were typical awesome as usual, with the exception of one for Ninja?? One question about Cyclone....Is it as slow towards the last 1/3 of the ride as it seemed in the pov? It looked as if was barely managing to get back to the station.
  7. They had a Ferris Wheel years ago. It sat where the Aero 360 is now.
  8. Way to go Shane, put my mood back in the toilet! LMAO
  9. ^ Fire off an email to customer service or call and ask. It sounds like something they would do considering the circumstances.
  10. ^ age 15 ^^ gotta love good old American Educational system!!!!!! This made my day so far...Thanks Robb!

  12. In California, Animal Control officers can now (as of 2007) break into locked cars with an animal in them. The owners face $500 in fines and 6 months in jail. This is Senate Bill 1806
  13. ^ Thanx, and agree with you and CCron. BTW CCron, thanx for the multi rides in a row on sdL at ECB without getting off. That is probably my favorite ride there!!!!
  14. ^^ Do you have a link for the video, I can't seem to find it?
  15. Take a heavy coat, it is supposed to get pretty damn cold this weekend!!
  16. Google "hershey pa flooding" and there are numerous links with pics and vids of all the flooding throughout the area. Knoebels has their facebook pics up with flooding pics from Tuesday. I can only imagine what the place is gonna look like after all the water goes back down. The weather is not looking too promising over the next few days to a week....... Here is a pic from some news website of the Comet/ construction area sort of..... ZooAmerica from some forum site
  17. There is a part 2 of pics at that link that doesn't actually show the park but more of the town. There are minivans completely submerged!! We got a lot of rain here southwest of the park in MD, but no real flooding problems like that!!! That is just saddeningly horrible....... I wonder how the construction site is faring through all of this??
  18. It almost seems as if this is a direction the popularity is heading. More and more people appear to enjoy this time of year as opposed to the regular season days. I know the first year Kennywood tried it we were there and it was pretty eerie with all the lights out except a few, and a very dense fog enveloping the park. Now if we could just get the parks hopping on the Christmas bandwagon and running the rides like they do in Japan!!
  19. ^^ Hell, without the foreign language Macarena, I can pretty much word for word all of those songs!!! The only thing better than that was growing up through the 80's !!!!!
  20. I don't know how many people complaining have actually worked in a park or anything, but I would imagine the employees have bad days as well as good. After all, they are human. They work outside in all weather conditions, and in Central Virginia, it can get pretty damn hot. I can understand being a little slower on these type of days. And towards the end of the season, spending day in and day out with the same people all day, things can get pretty tense and hectic in that respect. I sympathize with these people and respect the fact that they actually show up to work and do a very decent job none the least. It is like life in general, you have to take the good with the bad!
  21. http://news.webshots.com/photo/1432224248070495517gVEjDy http://news.webshots.com/photo/1432226879070495517pdXkpC http://news.webshots.com/photo/2789089500070495517ArkRzN Look, many many trees LMAO Yes, there was a time when KD had more of a traditional park feel, and not some Paramount/CF corporate feel.
  22. ^ To us maybe, but to the million or so "local" gp, this could be a big boost for the park. Sure some of them have been elsewhere such as KD, HP, and GA, but this is in their backyard. They will eat this up tremendously. Hopefully this is the shot in the arm needed to get the park moving in a good direction for many years to come. The other parks around need the competition in order to feel a need to invest in other attractions as well. It only makes for a win - win situation for all involved!
  23. Wow, talk about cramming stuff in!!!! Does that mean Laser's spot is still empty?
  24. No big loss there, I always hated the thought of these type of attractions in an amusement park! As far as CF adding the same thing to different parks, the majority of the gp visitors probably couldn't even name you 3 CF parks anyway. To them this is a ride they may have seen advertised somewhere and thought how cool it would be to ride one. Now that their park close to home is getting one they can go ride it. Also SF was good at cloning everything imaginable and it seems to have worked out just fine.
