RCDB lists the height as 306', which probably means ground to top of lift. So unless the first drop is going all the way to ground level through a trench or something, I doubt it will actually be longer than 300'. -

I have found the Huss brand like Hershey's to have more of a "flat" or "level" set of seats, thus preventing the airtime so to speak. The version that Busch Gardens has is more of an arc in the seating, and when you are in the last row, you really get that falling out of your seat feeling. The carny model that DelGrosso's has is also good for that. All photos courtesy TPR park index..... Hersheypark Pirat Battering Ram BGW DelGrosso's -

Here http://www.amazon.com/Air-Hogs-Hawk-Eye-Blue/dp/B004SQ3FFO/ref=pd_sim_t_5/188-9104596-1717358 would this help the cause?? We could all chip in like a buck or 2 and get some awesome views and footage!!!! -
From the above quoted statement about the parking pass, it sounds like you need to purchase the pass for your home park and then pay an additional fee for the Go Park. We do offer a "GO PARK" parking pass, for an additional $50 fee, which would allow for parking at all Six Flags theme parks. You must already have a parking pass purchased for a different park in order to be eligible for this add-on. This may be purchased at Guest Relations.

^ Damn, ride nights weren't like that back in '93!!!!! Of Course the biggest coaster we had was still Magnum!! -
That is kinda what I was aiming for in a roundabout way to go along with the racing/two track aspect of it. It just seems that in order to do any remodeling work it would make better sense to just tear it down and start over. That is unless they just retrack it as is. To create airtime drops and such would mean so much reprofiling that you would almost have to stretch the layout so to speak, thus creating the space issue again??? Does that make any sense to anyone?

Because it is a racer with a pretty massive structure, I find it hard to believe it would get any kind of NTAG treatment. To me it would be almost impossible to "remodel" it with all the wood it has in now. See below........dense wood, would almost have to tear down and start over eliminating any and all thoughts of Colossus anyway???? Just my thoughts, I am no engineer..... Courtesy Ric Turner/RCDB

Apparently they are reuniting for an album and tour next year. Also, VH1 aired the Michael Jackson special "This Is It" last night and love him or hate him, he was just as awesome right up till he died as he was 20 years ago. There will never be another entertainer with the moves and music that he crafted.

Possible New Park in the Dallas Area
eddie200330 replied to AllenA07's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe they are thinking something similar to CityWalk or Downtown Disney but with a furniture store and convention center on top of restaurants, a hotel and a small park. Could this be the future of any "new" park development of any kind. In this day's economy this seems like a pretty smart idea opposed to what is being planned down in Orlando. Incorporating an amusement park into something that will draw more of a base crowd should in all likelihood lead to some kind of better expansion rate I would presume. -

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

I know I said this a long time ago somewhere on here, but if anyone ever remembers "ACE News", the year they announced this and built it partially, there was a pic on the front page that showed a different layout than what is there now. It wasn't a drawing, it was an actual pic from the park and the corkscrews I swear where in a different part where they actually spun towards the loop/tunnel. I have tried to find it numerous times but I will have to find where I kept my old ACE stuff. -

If they could've elongated the turn into the MCB and somehow "fixed" the transition between the butterfly element, then it might not be as bad. Those 2 parts alone there is really no way to brace yourself for the pain. Other than that it is a pretty solid ride. Nice height and speed, and a great loop high above the water. I also like the long drawn out hangtime filled corkscrew staring straight down at the water. -

I just started really watching this and I was wondering what ecaxtly is the angle of the 1st drop. It looks pretty damn steep from these pics so far. This might make an interesting back seat ride for sure! -
