  1. Please be more specific with your questions- 'wood' is not a question. R.D. Sorry, is the coaster wood. As in all wood and not hybrid?
  2. Maybe they could ask KD how to do it right. Look what they did for Dominator in such a short time!! Credit RCDB Credit RCDB
  3. Not trying to be a jerk, but why don't you wait until........oh, I don't know.......August next year to ask this? This is one of two questions that really don't need asked anymore. It has been asked a million times about every park that someone could put together a spreadsheet for each parks operating days and estimated attendance. Quite frankly it is hard to judge from years past or even last weekend what it is gonna be like. The other question I hate is "What is the plan of attack" for _______ Park?" Just get up, go to the park, and ENJOY yourself. If it is crowded, be thankful....that is what keeps them going and adding new rides every year. And remember, please stand behind the yellow line.
  4. Where was this Jamaican Bobsled at??
  5. Intamin??? I thought Zierer was building this.
  6. With so many parks having their own water park on site, it seems flume rides and water rides in general are slowly becoming a lost breed. Such a shame as flume rides are still one of my favorite non coaster rides in the parks.
  7. Haha! You got to experience the awesomeness that is National Bohemian, aka Baltimore's Finest Swill. It cost me a whole $3.50 for a six pack of this crap for TPDave. I figured what would be better for TP to finally be able to drink when visiting the US than this alcoholic delight? The photos I have of TP drinking this are highly amusing. For some reason, people in this area still buy this crap. Though I was told it's mainly to steam crabs in. Which I suppose makes a bit of sense, since why use something to steam crabs in that you'd actually drink? dt Definitely is a Maryland thing......Growing up in Western Maryland we learned to drink on 3 things....Busch Light, Milwaukee's Best, and Natty boh....Why? you might ask. Well, they are CHEAP!!!!
  8. Some pretty good stuff......... http://www.savedreamland.co.uk/
  9. Superman at SFA had an incredible rattle. It is kinda like the wheels are coming apart at the seams. It isn't rough, it just sounds that way. I would just chalk it up to the metal parts of the wheels from the speeds they are traveling.
  10. I thought the same thing about the flat.....or drop tower of some sort. I usually avoid the park in peak season anyhow, but I have never been more than a 1/3 of the way down the ramp from the station on any visit, mostly a train or 2 wait. AMEN! I think I might actually rank it #1 overall for quality, performance, and atmosphere.
  11. With the inverts and the rain causing grease run-off on the passengers, you could call it "sloppy seconds" LMAO
  12. I have always thought that with all of the so called room they have that this park could really expand into some kind of "destination" resort. Maybe a type of indoor water park resort, some modern hotels, and some sort of adult oriented entertainment district for year round opportunities. The possibilities are almost endless, and it is close enough to major cities to get guests on a year round basis.
  13. ^^ I should have been more clear on that post, I meant HXLC's old space.
  14. For some damn reason I seem to be stuck on Def Leppard and Stryper at the moment?? What a combo LMAO!!
  15. Maybe they are saving it for another relocate from one of their other parks. Anything going anywhere anytime soon?
  16. Hersheypark had the Conestoga ride and for some I reason I always remembered it to have more of a punch than El Dorado??? Basically they were the same ride were they not?
  17. Wow, regarding the cemetery signs of past rides, that would be enough to start up a half decent park of your own. So sad to see so many classic rides go by the wayside never to be enjoyed again!!!
  18. Isn't there like a minimum temp in order for most of the coasters to operate? I thought that was one of the big issues with HP's Springtime in the Park? According to weather.com it is 56 and pretty windy there right now.
  19. The 1st and 6th riders on the right hand side of the train are just priceless!!!!!
