Here are some more pictures from Looty that he posted at ThrillNetwork. Some Notes He said about the park -TT old picture pickup/retail store will be replaced with a "Meet & Greet" location. -There are going to be numerous spots around the park where characters will be scheduled to meet kids and take pictures. -The giant axe on top of the Mighty Axe will be removed and replaced with a giant illuminated crystal thingy for Tak Attack The new verison of the Mighty Axe. Looty said that the axe piece will come of and some sort of crystal from the show Tak Attack will be added in it's spot. The Tree Swing. Please come back awesome kite paint job. Please .... The "new" Screamin' Yellow Eagle

^^^Looty said earlier that they are not going to repaint Timberland Twister for right now. Maybe if they have extra time before March, they can paint the track pink to match up with the Fairly Odd Parents theme. Once construction really starts to pick up on Spongebob, Avatar, and Splat-O-Sphere, I'm sure everything with painting and what not will come to a halt until vertical construction is done, which shouldn't take more than 2 months. Approx. time to build each new ride. SSRBP: 1 to 1 and 1/2 months; TT(same style track and supports, same length and about same height as Spongebob) took one month to complete. Avatar: 1 week. There is only about 300 ft. of Track on this one. Even less if it is smaller than the full-size model. See Photos Splat-O-Sphere: 1 to 2 days; It is just 60 ft. of basically track sticking straight up. 100 ft. Model smaller sized Half-Pipe

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

If they can have the electrical components of the ride in very soon, they could have it open by April or May. Firehawk, although smaller, did not go vertical until late March, and was open by the end of May. B&Ms tend to go up quite quickly. Look at Behemoth. They have an even harder time putting up track and supports because it is over water more often than other coasters. If the first support and track pieces start to go up in early-mid January, the whole structure could be up by the end of February. Just my 2 cents. -
I highly doubt HW is getting a steel coaster this year as Kima Bay is the largest addition being add this year with a price tag of $1.3 million. Steelies cost at least $3,000,000 and even that will only get you a small Euro-Fighter. I think HW might eventually get a big steel but not for another two to three years at the least. If and when they do get one within a few years, it will probably open on May 6, which will next be in 2017 since Raven, Legend, and Voyage all opened on May 6 in 1995, 2000, and 2006 respectively. But maybe they will break away from that tradition.

According to Looty, the Screamin' Yellow Eagle's bottom is now painted purple and in a few days will have it's entire paint job done. The Kite-Eating Tree has also been prepared for painting with sandbusting already done. You can see it in the webcam pic. It also looks as though SSRBA may be going vertical soon as there is a lot of cranes and sky-lifts around the construction zone.

^I think Spongebob is going to be yellow, but it is still very close in colors. TT should be pink and green to fit it's new Fairly Odd Parents theme. -

Another Awesome "retro package". Keep them coming. I still don't know why this park closed. -
Levy Restaurant's will be in charge of food at NU next year. Having had their food at Lambeau and Wrigley field, I can say that it is good food. http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/stories/2007/11/19/daily4.html Thrill Network fourm member Woodie4-07 posted a rough copy of what SSRBP might look like. It looks about right and includes 3 inversions: a loop, cutback, and corkscrew.

No, but I have been there many, many times and some of my relatives work there. Higher up than minimum-wage employee too. -
Your favorite/best looking park entrance!
Sticky Nicky replied to zingo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I liked Elitchs entrance, but both of the Great Americas left me with a picture of Valleyfair's entrance. All three are pretty basic in my opinion. *200th Post* -
Amazing water slides
Sticky Nicky replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Believe it or not, the Body Slides at Vallyerfair are pretty wild. They are a little rough, but you litterally need to close your eyes or water will go into your eyes. I have gotton airtime on a few different spots on the slides. -

Dang, I was just about to say IOA also. But I guess I like DCA's entrance too, with the large capital letters spelling out California. -

I don't either. But I think the hills look oddly shaped. It is probably for the longer train cars.
