  1. I thought this was going into Kings Dominion, not a park in Sandusky, Ohio. Unless of course you mean Cedar Fair, which you probably do.
  2. All the rides that I was seriously looking forward to when I got to these parks are all being removed. Deja Vu Chiller What next.
  3. Your Photo TR's remind me of how much I love that park. Thanks for sharing. BTW, that is Radioactive Man, not Homer. Scruffy was right.
  4. I would also like that but sadly Anton is dead and so is his company. Top Spins are fun though. Not good for bad backs.
  5. Now that most parks are closed for the 07 season, what was your reaction to the parks compared to years passed. My homepark, Valleyfair, was a lot cleaner this year and added a great attraction plus the Halloween Haunt was much better this year than last years, so I am going to say Valleyfair had a much better year that last year. EDIT:Poll is screwed up and I can't change it. Can someone else add better as an option.
  6. Any Frog Hopper with a 54" max. I love these rides. I can ride the one at Camp Snoopy/The Park at MOA/ Nick Universe but I can't ride one at Valleyfair? Where is the logic in that. They are fun rides but if you are to tall, they are a pointless attraction. COUGHcedarfairCOUGH
  7. Top Spins pull a lot of G's going through the flips, but they get a little jerky from locking you to releasing you at angles. They are slow and sometimes short cycles, which this one will probably have. 8. 20/25 Stupid International Roller Coasters!
  9. Best caption ever!!! I think it is just Rueben.
  10. That is exactly what I was looking for too. On a side note, The price for a 500 foot rocket coaster with an almost identical layout to KK or TTD would probably be 30-40 million dollars. They couldn't use a chainlift because it would weigh 10 tons (SD:2000 uses 2 different chains). It has gotten way to expensive to build higher, fast, longer coasters because of this.
  11. When I was at Great America any T-shirts with Paramount Parks on them were $5 a piece. I only got one shirt. It was the Coaster Commando one.
  12. After they get Thunderhawk and Dominator down the folks at Geauga will probabally be taking down BLMR because if the rumors are true, it is opening at CP in 2008. They are trying to get everything opening next year taken down first. Dominator Thunderhawk BLMR Kiddie Rides So the boomerang will probably open in 2009 unless they are speedy at taking it down and shipping it by next year. (VALLEYFAIR please) NICK "Who likes Boomerangs" SMITH
  13. I was there this summer for my first time and the park was very clean. TR: 3 posts from the bottom http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=447673&highlight=#447673
  14. They have redone the site. Check it out. http://www.intaminworldwide.com/
  15. ^I'm pretty sure it will open in April or May, not July or August. Plus you live in Virginia, so you could go right when it opens, unlike most of us.
  16. They made it taller and twists on both ends to compete with Superman: The Escape at the then SF:WOA. Otherwise it would have just been the standered model. The reason behind adding it: SFMM. They built three new coasters in 2001 bringing thier count to 15, same as CP.
  17. Ya Think!!!!!! I am pretty sure we can celebrate now unless someone somehow votes 500 times for one website, TPR is a for sure win.
  18. ^I also heard it was Carowinds who was supposed to get it. Although C. Wonderland removed Orbiter two years ago and repened it last year after the buyout.
  19. Except for the fact Maverick costs $21 million and a Renegade clone would probably be around $5 million. I have also heard people like Renegade more than Maverick. I know Renegade cost $6.5 million but a clone would be less expensive because you don't have to pay for the design.
  20. Probably just wishfull thinking, but does anyone think it might not be a Renegade clone, just similar to Renegade? Like how Patriot and Talon have similar stats and the exact same progression of elements, but layed out differently? At the moment, with the debt load CF has, I dought they want to design an all new coaster for GA. Even so, Rennie was very good to me and a lot of other people, so a clone might not be such a bad idea. But if they want the longest wooden coaster in Northern California, they would need to add about four hundred feet onto it.
  21. I might accually get out NYC next year so maybe I can sneak in a trip while I'm there. I really wanted to go this year as it was closing year so I am happy it is staying open another year.
  22. ^I think that is just misplaced. Other pics of rides not at the park are around the different Paramount Parks Website.
  23. The Results as of Thursday, October 25 are I think TPR is going to win by a long shot in all the catagories. Remember, you still have untill Halloween to vote. http://www.coasterdom.com/coaster-web-awards/2007-coaster-web-awards-voting/
  24. It sounds just like a Renegade clone, not that there is anything wrong with it though. Renegade was one of the best coasters I've been one and I have been to CP, SFGAm, SFEG, SFDK, and Great America.
  25. ^I was thinking that is what KD needed. After four launchers, you need some lifts. This park nnede a good steel non-launched coaster and that is what it got. They probably won't fill it with sand unless there is a noise problem in the area (i.e. Dueling Dragons, Talon, Hydra, etc.).
