  1. I saw on BGW's instagram that Alpengeist was only open for the first few days of Christmas Town. Now it's back to being just Verbolten. Link Such a bummer because I definitely would've been going to Christmas Town this year if it was kept open...
  2. Our tree... Our one and only theme park related ornament My parents got this during our very first visit to Hersheypark for their "Christmas Candylane" back in 1995.
  3. This is my only problem with Vekoma Flyers, the restraints are a bit weird. Oh and the obnoxiously loud anti roll backs. Other than that, they're fun rides. It's such a shame that Vekoma only made three of these as they seem to be some of their best products.
  4. Couldn't agree more. Christmas Town is great, but it would be nice to open another coaster or two like Nessie or Alpengeist, especially since it's already snow themed. I guess the lack of coasters being open is due to maintenance, weather and staffing so it's kinda understandable. I went to Christmas Town last year and was able to marathon Verbolten since it was raining and it was a complete walk-on. The Christmas trees at the bottom of the last drop was a nice touch as well.
  5. "Plush"-Stone Temple Pilots
  6. To this day I still see people lose items on I305, usually on the two airtime hills. I was wondering the same thing about Anaconda this year when I saw a cellphone fall out into Lake Charles as it went through the corkscrew. Those inversions have quite the hangtime.
  7. Definitely: Kings Dominion Dollywood Possibly: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Holiday World Six Flags Great America
  8. Mostly YouTube and Instagram but I do use Facebook on the occasion as well. I don't care much for Twitter and Snapchat.
  9. I agree with this. I thought Hershey's operations were pretty solid last year during the two days I went for HPITD. The ride ops were proficient, got trains out of the stations without stacking and didn't bullsh%t around unlike some of the ride ops at some of my local parks (KD, SFA).
  10. Two Saturdays ago I saw Parkway Drive at the Fillmore in Silver Spring MD in support of their new "IRE" album with Miss May I, Thy Art Is Murder, and In Hearts Awake. Amazing show, non stop moshing and crowdsurfing! Parkway even said we were the rowdiest crowd out of all the shows they've playing on the tour so far so that great to hear. Australia got some great bands!
  11. As someone who was a fan of the Call Of Duty series (Up until Black Ops 2), I bought Black Ops 3 hoping it would be decent since they actually took two years instead of one to develop this game. Boy, was I wrong. This is by far the worst COD I've played. Quite honestly I'm really tired of the futuristic crap they've been doing. It honestly feels like Treyarch is just trying to appeal to the younger crowd (despite it being a rated M game).
  12. I miss the good old days when Youtube didn't have ads.
  13. I'm a backseat rider for sure. A majority of coasters I find the best in the back seat as they do tend to have more airtime. Also when it comes to Arrow loopers, I've always found them smoother in the last car. However I do prefer front row on certain rides. Alpengeist is a great example as the last row makes the ride feel mediocre, yet the front feels much faster and a bit more forceful.
  14. I305-I've been on this ride well over 50 times and I've yet to have a ride where I didn't grey out. I don't mind it, as it usually only lasts until I reach the top of the first airtime hill. Kumba-Last row on the far right seat is amazing! Some of the most intense g forces I've felt on a ride. Montu-Another ride that's intense in the last row. Skyrush-Amazing airtime from the lift, to almost near the end of the ride. I've never been on a ride that felt like it was trying to throw me out until I rode this one.
  15. ^ Hurler used to be tolerable, now I'm more than happy to skip it. Seriously, the jack hammering starts at the bottom of the first hill, before the first turn. I'll also add stand ups to the list of rides I can't enjoy. I find them very uncomfortable and not all that great.
  16. I second on Kumba and Montu being the most intense, especially in the last row. By far some of the most forceful moments I've experienced on any coaster. Dominator, Thunderbird, Hulk and Chinese Fireball get honorable mentions as well.
  17. Thunderbird at Holiday World this past summer.
  18. Out of the ones I've been in, Manta at SWO. It's pretty much an aquarium in a queue line which keeps you entertained while you wait. Also the queue music is a nice touch as well.
  19. While Thunderbird is my favorite at HW, Raven is indeed the best one out of the three woodies. I wish I had gotten some night rides on it though. Oh well hopefully next year!
  20. I'm gonna have to disagree with this. Every ride I had on Shockwave beat the living crap out of me. In fact one of my last rides on it a few years ago left a decent sized bruise on my hip. That being said, seeing this ride getting torn down doesn't bother me one bit. You didn't understand what I said. I get that it beat many people up, but that's not I meant by how smooth it is. You know those old Arrows where you can feel the car bouncing and jumping around instead of smoothly following the rails? Well, let me be the first to tell you, TOGO did something RIGHT with Shockwave. It's not the only coaster there that is super smooth either. Both Ricochet and Dominator's first drop feel like you're just flying through air and I barely notice that the car is fixed onto rails. Call me crazy, but I feel that King's Dominion (along with Dollywood) has one of the "smoothest" coaster collection I've experienced, including Shockwave. My main point: Shockwave beat the living hell out of people because of the RESTRAINTS (mainly larger people, i'm a short guy), but the trains rode the rails much better than several other coasters that are even several years newer than it. Regardess Shockwave still sucked...

  22. "Ilyena"-The Mars Volta
  23. Holiday World is pretty underrated I think. Small, but great line up of coasters as well as flats, and some of the best prices you'll see. Not to mention some of the free stuff the park has to offer (Soda, parking, sunscreen .etc)
  24. "Elite"-Deftones
