  1. My favorites are Chicago Uno's and Ledo pizza (mostly a Maryland chain). I used work for both Papa John's and Domino's for a while, occasionally I still order PJ's but after two years at Domino's, I learned to never eat their food ever again.
  2. At Kings Dominion I usually ride I305 first. Sometimes I'll go to the park and ride Dominator or Volcano first, depending on the lines. When I visit BGW, Loch Ness Monster has always been the first ride of the day for me.
  3. Here's some I took at BGW's first ever Christmas Town back in 2009.
  4. "Poltergeist"-Deftones
  5. Great pictures. I'm definitely going check this event out next month.
  6. Kings Dominion: 1) I305 2) Dominator 3) Flight Of Fear 4) Volcano 5) Grizzly 6) Anaconda 7) Avalanche 8) Back Lot 9) Rebel Yell 10) Ricochet 11) Hurler Six Flags America: 1) Wild One 2) Superman: ROS 3) Joker's Jinx 4) Batwing 5) Roar 6) Apocalypse 7) Mind Eraser
  7. ^While I haven't been to Busch Gardens this year, I've noticed the same thing happening at Kings Dominion these past few weekends. There was a few times I saw ride ops having to ask for rider's hats, as well as announcing that all hats had to be left in the station.
  8. Great report so far. It's nice reading first time visits to some of my local parks. Sorry to hear what happened on Grizzly though. I've always found that ride to have good days and bad days, so to speak. Looking forward to the rest of your report.
  9. I305 is an absolute must in the backseat. The pull over the first drop is amazing. I agree Dominator is also best in the backseat as it's much more forceful than the other rows. Grizzly and Anaconda are great in the backseat as well. I usually prefer front row for Volcano and Backlot.
  10. I went on the first Sunday of HPITD two years ago and every ride was a walk on the entire time I was there. Sunday is definitely a good day to visit.
  11. Looks like a solid addition to the park but I'm pretty bummed about Flying Falcon leaving. That's one of my favorite flats there.
  12. I actually enjoyed Wildcat myself. Not the best woodie out there but it's far from being the worst.
  13. Holiday World still has some of the best operations I've seen in any park. Even when Raven and Legend went to one train operations, the ops were very fast and efficient when it came to dispatches.
  14. It's actually gotten to the point to where I won't bother to try and talk to someone if they're playing Pokemon Go because I might as well just talk to a wall. It's like the moment they start playing, nothing and no one around them matter anymore.
  15. Sometimes I find this thread more entertaining than going to Kings Dominion itself.
  16. Born and raised in Maryland, can confirm. Sometimes we even put old bay on our old bay (On a side note, old bay dry rub wings are the best) Old Bay seasoning on burgers is where it's at!
  17. Great photos! Mako looks awesome, and like always SeaWorld does an amazing job when it comes to theming their rides. Hopefully I'll be down there later this year and ride it myself.
  18. ^Not to mention the park just got a water park expansion last year. Honestly I think it's nothing more than just a storage building as others have said. It's right next to the maintenance road for most of the coasters in Safari Village so I doubt it's an attraction of any kind.
  19. Since it's on 4th of July weekend, I'd expect it to be crowded so you might wanna consider Fast Lane.
  20. I was in the same situation where I had to choose Kentucky Kingdom or Holiday World last year. I decided to go to Holiday World and I didn't regret it one bit, the park is fantastic and it had a real charm to it. Kentucky Kingdom looks like a great park too and I'd love to visit it one day myself, but I'm glad I ended up visiting this park.
  21. You'll be fine without a Flash Pass especially on a Sunday and Monday, lines rarely ever get long in this park. However the park is notorious for running one train operations on weekdays so just a little heads up on that.
  22. I'd go Monday as most people might have to work the next day. I haven't been to the waterpark since their Soak City upgrade, but I'd imagine their newer slides (Hurricane Heights, Thunder Falls) will have have longer lines. Tornado is also another slide with a seemingly long wait and it's one of the first slides you encounter when you enter SC so that's another one I'd recommend hitting up first.
  23. Great TR so far Bill. It's been three years since my last visit to FL and just looking at pictures of Kumba and Montu alone make me want to head down there now.
  24. I went and saw Buckethead for the third time last night at the Howard Theatre in D.C and it was amazing! He's such a brilliant musician, very talented. I really hope it's not his last tour.
