  1. The track piece they are unloading is banked very little, if any. I guess the other two will be banked pretty good then. It also looks as if they didn't pour any new footers, instead, it looks like they just made supports that utilize the current footers' locations.
  2. I wish I had the glasses to see these, they look like they would be pretty good. I just recently threw away tons of those glasses and, at the moment, can't find any.
  3. I agree, it's my favorite wooden coaster of all time at the moment. That will change, though, when I go to GADV in June.
  4. Exactly what I was thinking. The S-curves in the beginning are banked pretty good, this will probably be the same.
  5. The original poster is talking about the earring warning, not the rollback one. Same for you Zack. Regarding the topic, I guess they just want to warn people and prevent ear bleeding, the last thing they want is blood all over the shoulder harnesses.
  6. I wonder when the animation videos on Maverick's web page (the POV, action, aerial, etc. videos) will be changed to an "S-curve".
  7. Hopefully not Maverick. After all this hype and attention, it better be a damn good ride. I have confidence that it will be, though.
  8. Geauga Lake will get a hyper one of these years.
  9. I completely agree. I was supremely impressed when I saw it in person last weekend. It's going to be a great ride. I also agree. It's so much bigger than I had expected.
  10. At least on Mantis the ride ops ask you to raise your hand if you aren't standing straight up once the seats are locked, and tell you not to bounce...on Riddler's when the seats are locked, you're stuck in that position whether you like it or not (at least that's how it was when I went last summer). This girl on front of me was pretty much sitting down and the ops didn't do anything about it, all they were busy doing, was fooling around kicking each other.
  11. ^ Keep in mind that the point of MF isn't airtime, it's the 310 ft drop at 80 degrees, if they wanted to give MF extreme airtime, they would have, but that's not what the designers were aiming for. In my opinion, Ninja at SFMM is overrated. I think Iron Dragon and Big Bad Wolf are a lot better than Ninja. It was just a boring ride through some trees.
  12. 1. Raptor 2. Millennium Force 3. TTD 4. Wicked twister (back seat) 5. Magnum 6. Gemini 7. Iron Dragon 8. Corkscrew 9. Blue Streak 10. Mean Streak 11. Mantis
  13. Viper at SFMM, I didn't think it was all that bad. I liked it.
  14. I agree, except, if you are tall, there is no leg room whatsoever. It's really cramped.
  15. Deja Vu - Yeah it's very unreliable, but when it is open, it's a great ride and worth the wait, definitely my favorite ride at SFMM. Dominator (GL) - A very good and long floorless with a unique layout. Wicked Twister - The back seat on this is so insane.
  16. SFMM Their rides are very good, very thrilling, and kept us busy all day. It's just the employees are terrible and the layout is very confusing for people who are from the other side of the country and don't know the park at all. My parents and I got lost so many times when we went to SFMM.
  17. BGE (pre-Griffon). When I went back in 2004, all they had were 4 coasters and corkscrew hill. After you did them, there's not much else to do and we ended up leaving earlier than we expected because of boredom. DarKastle wasn't open yet, Pompeii is just a fancy Pittsburgh Plunge and it was cold that day so no getting wet, same goes for Roman Rapids, a fancy Raging Rapids, and Battering Ram was just a fancy, boring Pirate Ship.
  18. Mantis I know on here and other forums, everyone hates it, but, if you listen to the GP, they absolutely LOVE it. People are alwys talking about it and how great it is/was and how much they want to ride it. The line always has (on a crowded day) a decent amount of people in it. Meanwhile, it is one of the worst B&Ms ever made, in my opinion.
  19. I rode Mantis once Thursday and once Friday. It wasn't that bad, just the normal roughness and forces, nothing out of the ordinary.
  20. Yesterday (May 18th) at 7:00 pm And my first coaster of the 2007 season on Thursday (May 17th) was:
