Well, as of 9:07 EST, Maverick is officially open! EDIT: Actually, scratch that, it looks like it's pouring there now and supposed to do the same tomorrow and most of next week. Oh well.

First favorite is Phantom Fright Nights at Kennywood, but since that's not up there, I voted for CP's event...Halloweekends.

I would assume Sunday at the earliest. Unless they do some live video thing like BGE did with Griffon.

Can someone enlighten me as to what a "Terra Coaster" is? I thought it was a coaster that is 500+ feet tall.

Looks great! I just hope that they don't rush the opening so much that those spots won't get painted. I'm sure they won't and will have them painted quickly, though. I can't wait for that real-life pov!!

Yeah, TTD is nothing like that because you are probably going 3-7 MPH over the tophat, whereas SR you are probably going a lot faster.

The trains have been like that for a while, they were like that when I went May 17 & 18. Also when I was there, they were laying boards in the tunnel so workers could walk in and work, they are definitely doing something in there.

It is, but if you know how to brace yourself right, it isn't bad at all.

I have never ridden a dive coaster, but I have ridden 2 rockets, TTD and Xcelerator. The feeling at launch is a HUGE rush with the wind in your face, being pushed back into your seat, etc.. When you are at the top of TTD, make sure you look around a bit (you don't have that long to do so, so be quick), it's an awesome view.

^ That sucks. I was hoping to shoot over to CLP this summer (it's only 10 minutes away from my camp) to get one last ride on Blue Streak, good thing I already have the credit.
