  1. Looks great, I really like that station flyby.
  2. Hands down Cedar Point.
  3. Yeah, I'm not too worried about having to wait for Maverick. I heard the line moves very fast, and I'll only have to wait in line after the ERT people, I'll beat the front gate people to the ride with ease.
  4. ^ No, I don't, CP is the only Cedar Fair park I go to yearly, and this is the first year ever that I will have gone to CP more than once, so it would be a waste to buy a Pass. The only other park I go to yearly is Kennywood. I don't mind waiting around until 10. I just want to leave enough time because this will be my first "real" drive (3 hours). I have never driven more than an hour yet and I've had my license for about a year and a half. It'll be easy though, I'm not worried about it, it's practically a straight shot. Just get on the PA Turnpike, which will turn into the OH Turnpike, then, 3 hours later, get off the Sandusky/Norwalk exit and follow signs to CP.
  5. ^ Going to CP Wed. and taking your advice by parking in the SC lot. I plan to arrive by 9:00, the lot won't be full by then will it? Then again, it is still only June.
  6. Way overpriced? No, I wouldn't say that. Not more than any other theme park. Hell, admission is $41.95 at the gate and they have 17 coasters, SFMM has 15 coasters and SFGADV has 13, yet both their admission prices are $59.99 at the gate. I think their hotels are a bit overpriced for what you get. Breakers gives you basically a $100 room for $200+ because you can walk into the park. Heck, I think the rack rate for the Wilderness Lodge at WDW during value season is currently $215. And that's a HELL of a lot nicer hotel than Breakers. The concessions are also overpriced, but no more so than anywhere else. True. But, whether the Breakers are over priced or not, the hotel's still booked full in July and August.
  7. Good to know the POV will be coming soon. I will be riding it Wednesday, though, so that won't matter.
  8. I have only been to 2 SF parks total, SFMM and SFWOA, one being defunct. So I voted for SFMM. I'm going to GADV in about 15 days.
  9. Way overpriced? No, I wouldn't say that. Not more than any other theme park. Hell, admission is $41.95 at the gate and they have 17 coasters, SFMM has 15 coasters and SFGADV has 13, yet both their admission prices are $59.99 at the gate. I'll agree with the mediocre rides, because most of them are "one hit wonders" as I like to call them, where they were "the first of it's kind" at one point in time, but, with age, they will get boring and dull to the point where no one really cares about them anymore (Corkscrew is a good example). That's why I'm finally glad that CP has built a unique coaster that will be "fun" for years and years to come.
  10. I don't ride "kiddie rides" now, hence the reason I don't have WE at CP. All the kiddie credits I have are from when I was little.
  11. You are getting a lot better. That was very smooth. A few things to keep in mind, though. Lift hills don't slope up gradually, they are straight, it took the turns way too slow, don't bank the turns so much when you are going that slow, especially right out of the station, and straighten out the brake run. You are making really good progress though!
  12. Kennywood - Home Park, like 15 min. away Conneaut Lake Park - 1 Hour 45 Minutes Geauga Lake - 2 Hours Cedar Point - 3 Hours Kings Island - 5 Hours Dorney Park - 5 Hours Kings Dominion - 6 Hours Six Flags Great Adventure - 6 Hours Busch Gardens Europe - 7 hours
  13. Believe it or not, that does shut down rides. I was in the TTD station, about 3 trains from riding, last year, when that happened. They lost sound and it caused about a 30 minute downtime until they got it working again.
  14. ^ Not all the time. You have to know when the right time to go is.
  15. A nice, small woodie. It was very smooth. The ride was short, but the speed and quick turns made up for it! Great job!
  16. Jon, I am going to CP on Wednesday. I'll be running to Maverick at 10:00 from the Magnum gate. Do you know what position you'll start at on Wednesday? Also try to get the ride open on time on Wednesday! See you then!
  17. Hopefully when I go to CP on Wednesday, they will open Maverick on time.
  18. Didn't feel like adding foliage. I went with the more realistic design. Like a real B&M hyper, this has trims. This is my first time using custom supports in some areas instead of the premade ones. Please comment. Giant(B&M Hyper).nltrack My 4th NL coaster
  19. Great PTR!! Only 18 days until I go for the first time! I hope I'll get to ride everything in one day, but I am going to get there early and staying until closing at 10 pm, so I'm confident.
  20. Uninstalling and reinstalling worked, thanks. I'll remember that though just in case. EDIT: I was using software mode, the thing I was clicking on says it in the title duh! Thanks.
  21. That's the thing, it lags the same whether there is nothing, or a coaster that has 10,000 feet of track. It shouldn't lag, I have 2 gig RAM. Whether it's set to very low detail or very high detail, it lags the same also. I don't see what could have caused this, I was on it last night at 2am, and it was working great. I haven't been on my computer all day, so I couldn't have done anything to cause this.
  22. When I go into the builder and try to move around, it is really laggy and I am frustrated because it's very hard to build now. It was working fine yesterday. The simulator also works fine, no lag with everything set to high. How can I fix this? I have restarted my computer 3 times now, deleted all the cookies, temp. files, etc., and made sure all other programs were closed out, but nothing, it's still the same. Help please!
  23. By the looks of it, you're just going to CP on June 20th for a little bit solely to ride Maverick and get your pass processed, so this probably won't affect you that much, but I'll let you know anyway. I was looking at CP's calender and it's girl scout day. So it might be slightly more crowded than a normal Wednesday in June. Just giving you a heads-up!
  24. ^ Villain is bad now, but he said he rode it in 2000, the year it opened. It was a lot better and, in my opinion, pretty damn good back then. I agree with everything else, CF isn't "neglecting" anything and X-Flight moving was a business decision that had primarily to do with attendance, not because they are "too cheap".
