Still dosen't change anything, it is a complete copy of the real megalite, and that is the reason it looks to be such a great ride. The wheel chair bridge is an awesome looking detail of this ride. -

That definitely looks like more than a "little trim". Hopefully it's not permanent. -

It's more to it than just that, if B&M wanted to keep building the intense rides they were doing in the 90's then they are more than capable of it without the Stengel firms involvement. The truth is that something has changed in the company's philosophy of what is a great coaster, and that is probably why the partnership with Stengel ended. Why this change was made we will probably only speculate about, but it is most likely a combination of things. For an example maintenance is probably one part of it, like Sid said. Another part is probably that they wanted their rides to be more accessible to a broader range of audience. There are probably more reason as well, these were just guesses. I would love to see a Sky Scrapper clone somewhere in Europe, or the US, as it seems to be a modern taste of the "glory days". -

My thought exactly, this ride looks so good because it's a complete copy of one of the greatest rides ever created. It seems to run faster in the POV's that was posted earlier, and it will probably speed up more in the summer days, but even then the ride dosen't look to be on pair with the Intamin version. The first two hills look like they could be faster, and there is no "snap" in the transitions, something that makes the Intamin so awesome IMO. Also the banking on the turn into the brakes just looks wrong. I would love to try this one out, as the real megalite is my all-time favorite coaster, but unfortunately a 2 day trip is much more expensive than I had hoped. -

^ It most definitely is! It's supposed to be on hell of a ride, shame there isn't more of it. -

I like splash battles in general, and I really love the look of this one! The only thing that I don't understand is why they went with sand color on the theming, the temples of Angkor clearly is not sand colored. Photo from Wikipedia. -

The way the lap bars is designed, they need the shin bar in order to keep the guests in the seat. It's because they keep the body "bent" the correct way, and makes it impossible to "slip out". Without them the safety of the passengers could not be guaranteed. It's necessary because of the more extreme things the rides are doing nowadays. For an example the old Schwarzkopf loopers don't need shin bars, because the only real place they could throw you out would be the loop, but during those you are pressed down against the seats. -
Romon World to open in China

The main difference, as showed by the video above, is that they don't launch you immediately, they start slow and then comes the boost. They are still very powerful rides. Yeah, the one at Lotte World looks very tame, but the one at Phantasialand is very very awesome. The first launch is not that powerful, but the second, big one, is awesome! Same for the drop that follows it. -

No, steel wheels are out of the question. There is lot of animals not to far away, and steel wheels simply make to much noise for them. -

I got really excited about it until i realized you had to write a motivation on why you should get them. That's just a think I'm really bad at. -

Very hard to speculate about, we won't know until the park release something about it. But in general testing is conducted with the wheels it is intended to run with, and then changed if necessary.
