  1. This thing just looks so great! Source
  2. I have to say this ride looks fantastic! I didn't really like the paint scheme when the parts first arrived, but as proven here, never judge a rides look until it is completed. I'm impressed with the new owners for investing in the park. I can't wait to see how it looks in 5 years, then they should probably have gotten rid of this "crappy" feel that I have seen in all the photos I've seen of this place. Source
  3. Here are some photos from the new children's area. It looks fantastic IMO. Also the rumor says the park will be getting another big ride in 2016! I really want to try this type of ride, they look very good, and the ride experience seems to be awesome from a family perspective. The theme in this new area is really great! Magic bikes. This looks awesome! This is so cute. Source
  4. Here's the front of the train! The ride is pretty much done in terms of vertical construction. I'm starting to wonder how the station will look on the inside? I really hope they do a great job on the theme, instead of just making it look nice. Source Source
  5. Great photos, can't wait to visit Heide again!
  6. Own a park, of course! Small family oriented with a few real thrill rides and breathtaking landscaping.
  7. Here is a rendering: The Skull Island play structure is just to the right of what the photo shows.
  8. My favorite question is probably this one: Colin Berthold - "How big of a problem was Lisebergbanan when you were designing Helix?" Mack Rides - "To be honest, it was a pain in the ass" Thank you Robb and Elissa for a really awesome chart, and while I had to go out very unexpectedly (DAMN IT!) it's still a blast to read through all the questions.
  9. Great photos as always! I really think this was the best addition they could have done, it fit's so perfect into the park.
  10. Chuck, those are some awesome photos! It looks like I will be riding I305 next summer (along with Skyrush and El Toro), so the megalite in my top spot might be threatened.
  11. Nah, just do their job and everything will be fine!
  12. This slide is getting interesting now. Source
  13. Slides went vertical last week, but now the fiberglass is going up. This is the insanely awesome looking tube slides complex. The family complex and the mat racer/drop slide complex should start to go up really soon as well. Here's some photos from last week, of non slide related stuff: Entrance American Flag themed mat racer Colorful Not much more to do on the wave pool. Put the plaster in place, and paint the rock/wood theme. Cabana pool Walls. Source
  14. The new Wahoo Racer is finally (finally as in I have been waiting with anticipation for this specific slide to go up) going up at Hurricane Harbor. I love the colors so far! For you who don't know, it will be a 6-lane version of this (without the Aqualoop's): Source Source
  15. The Abyss is almost done, the Aquaplay should also be finished by now, no photos yet though. Source
  16. Since they kept dropping the ride with the non working seats I'm guessing nothing is broken/dangerous for the ride. I hate to speculate, but I'm guessing that the adjustments are not a 100% for the broken seat, and that they will fix it quite easy. I'm very impressed with the ride itself. I thought the tilting back would take longer, and start higher up. I also thought the ride would start breaking much earlier. This is really starting to shape up to one of the absolute most scariest rides in the world.
  17. ^ That is true in terms of the website only showing one ride under "Intamin". Under the category "Avrupa" it shows the Jetski ride, as well as an clone of Giraffica. The website do really show A LOT of rides, some even duplicates, so I really not excepting all of them to open. I hope the Intamin rides are true, but only the time will tell.
  18. Not really shocked actually. As Robb said, I don't think this ride was ever right for Holiday World. Lance at Screamscape is speculating about the Cedar Point accident having something to do with the decision, which I just think is ridiculous, the rides are not even similar in terms of the safety system. The main problem for this ride is that it was never optimal for a splash down ride, due to the smaller boats. Divertical is a much, much better ride, and is a perfect example on what this system should be used for. Unfortunately someone had to buy the splash down prototype, in order for the Divertical ride to be developed, and that was Holiday World. Also I don't think they will scrap it, they should be able to find a buyer for it. Maybe they already have, as the new Ankapark opening in Turkey is speculated to have this type of splash down ride?
  19. Really excited for this project, and as I said earlier, I hope it's the coaster who makes park stop buying Volares. Also I love the color scheme on the ride!
  20. ^ Yeah, me neither actually.
  21. Does anyone think that this is probably because they are behind schedule, and have nothing to do with the ride itself?
