  1. Congratulations to America, as I said before I think the Giant Discovery is far better than the Huss Giant Frisbee's. More height, more speed, less spinning, and spinning both ways!
  2. I thought that there was no place for side wheels on this ride, thanks to the staircase structure. But obviously thats not the case, and then there is the rail in the middle looks to act up stop wheels (and maybe even sidewheels, since the track is painted on the sides?). I really can't wait to see this progress some more! Wondering if it will be using magnetic technology to stay on the track, kinda looks that way?
  3. That support is bigger than i expected!
  4. Theming wise I'm not expecting anything less than these: Pics from RCDB If I'm not mistaken the trains at Efteling are modified so that they can have a lower height limit, hopefully Europa Park's will have the same.
  5. It was said by Sandor Kernacs during an Q&A session, but you knows best..
  6. And how high is Fahrenheit?
  7. When Intamin built Millennium Force they went with the cable lift because if they wanted a chain then the lifthill could only be around 30 degrees steep. No, they are not. Somewhere around 35-38 degrees I would say.
  8. Since they are paying 20 million € for the ride (26 million $) I would say it's safe to assume that the ride will feature a coaster section..
  9. Well, seeing as the gouverment owns this park I really don't see this thing closing anytime soon. I guess these changes are just to make the park run as optimal as possible between expenses and income.
  10. Well, for what it's worth, both Giant Discovery's in Scandinavia is themed after spiders..
  11. http://www.coasterfriends.de/forum/weltweite-news-asien-und-mehr/3250-neu-2011-12-happy-valley-wuhan-china-4.html Some new pics of the park, the skyloop is testing and the X-car is finished.
  12. Gröna Lund Maybe Liseberg, if I can bother with the 6 hour drive, only if something cool turns up for 2012, but that's not very likely.. Uk day trip: Thorpe Park Germany trip: Europa Park Heide Park Phantasialand Really wanna go to Mirabilandia. But well see what happens..
  13. Awsome update! I'll bet that you now know what restraints this ride will have, but promised not to tell anybody..
  14. Anyone know if the Mack coaster have been opened as well?
  15. Yes, that sounds about right. But they should have gone for the vest style ots restraints if you ask me, that would have been best in all aspects.
  16. Holy crap those pics has me exited! Whatever it turns out to be, it will be the big family attraction Mirabilandia has been missing since taking out Sierra Tonante.
  17. It has nothing to do where the company is located, as the sale has to go through the country where the park is located, and be regulated by that countries laws and taxes, and that is cheaper in America than Europe and Australia.
  18. Giant Discovery Flying Fury Star Flyers are nice as well.
  19. That would be very dangerous, if you ask me!
  20. Train looks awsome, but I'm not sure what to think of those restraints.. those look kinda weird
  21. Yes, but I wouldn't call it a stengel dive, it's more like a regular overbanked curve.
