  1. But then another side of these kind of deals come up, why would B&M waste all that work that they put in to make the concept and everything for Wonderland just to sign a deal with CP? In my book, if I were going to sign that kind of deal, then Cedar Point would have to pay me what the profit om making the other ride would have gotten me. Why waste an opportunity to making another ride? Funny things these deals..
  2. I'm not saying hes wrong, I do believe that there was a contract with Cedar Point. I'm saying that he is wrong about how close CW was to close a deal with B&M.
  3. Well, obviously if they just got a memo from B&M saying they would not build them a ride, they could not have been "SO CLOSE" to signing a deal.. They had the plans ready to go. All they had to do was sign the paperwork. Norm said he personally received a call from Walter Bolliger stating that their plans had to be scrapped due to the CP clause. At this point, Dick Kinzel was called and asked if an exception could be made. He refused. So the plan of a B&M was tossed out and a Vekoma SLC was put in its place. On top of that, we were only within 2 miles of the cut-off point. I would say it's SO CLOSE... I'm not saying that you're wrong or anything, you should just not believe everything you are told. B&M would not work with you for months to develop a custom made layout for you're specific space and requirements, and all of a sudden just sign such a deal as they did with Cedar Point. That would be very bad publicity for the company, and just a dickish move, taking time and money away from Wonderland. I do believe that the park was looking into getting a B&M invert, just not that they were as close and long gotten as they claim.
  4. Holy shit! I do not want to be the one responsible for the firework bill!
  5. So there's nothing wrong with the ride itself, just the politicians?
  6. Mirabilandia's homepage says a June 16 opening! Is that good enough for the TPR trip? Would be nice with some fellow TRP'ers review of this thing!
  7. How the hell can a ride be so messed up that you can't open it???
  8. These loops are always awesome to ride an look at!
  9. since the only picture I have seen of the lop is from right under it, I can't really say if looks different from the concept art or not.
  10. Am I the only one who don't understand the "glass smooth" argument about B&M? All of the B&M's I have been on have not been glass smooth, they have been rattling. And when it comes to my favorite company it is Intamin, but that's because they are more common over here. Within a day's range I could get to Piraten, Speed Monster, Balder, Kanonen, Insane, Tornado, Mine Train Ulven, Kirnu and Tornado. The only B&M I could reach is Daemonen. I still enjoy B&M just as much as Intamin, and I have yet to ride a bad one from any of them. But I also like pretty much all the coasters I ride, even smaller family ones.
  11. Piraten is my favorite for best coaster! Insane for the most awesome one!
  12. Really? If it's true it's a huge for me surprise that the ride is actually happening
  13. Remember that it was Premier that was first with this track style, and not Maurer!
  14. Well, obviously if they just got a memo from B&M saying they would not build them a ride, they could not have been "SO CLOSE" to signing a deal..
  15. Is the New Texas Giant using steel wheels or rubber ones? Is it smooth? This one will have steel wheels right?
  16. Thank you so much for the update! Looks like we have a real winner here, hopefully we will see Premier sell more of these coasters! ( Tusenfryd???)
  17. What is it with things flying off of coasters lately? Eejanaika just a few days ago.
  18. Then I'm expecting a big photo update on this thing!
  19. It doesn't matter what restraints a coaster has, the fact is, you're going to ride it anyway!
  20. The ride is trimmed less than a mile in speed, so i really doubt you would feel any difference.
  21. I read a few reviews of the Stingray in China and it's apparently awesome! Reability is another thing... Would really love to see the new flyer get built!
  22. You been on the probably two best coasters in the world in one day? SCREW YOU!!
  23. Mack wanted to sell Hershey a inverted coaster with loops and rotating seats. This coaster was designed around the observation tower. Hershey went with the Intamin proposal instead (Skyrush) as they did not wanted to be first with a new type of coaster. They did say that they don't mind being second tough, so this might very well be what we will be seeing in the park next time..
