  1. our house looks like an abandoned home, with lights kept off and shades drawn. we won't be giving out any candy, or answering the door because we'll be at Knoebels.
  2. Their rumored plan on their WDW attractions is to basically finish the exteriors and then put the projects on pause. That may be what happens here too...
  3. If Gavin Newsom eventually changes his mind on this and sends people back out to other parks around the country before releasing guidelines then Six Flags had better hope and pray that they don't go to a Six Flags park or this place won't be allowed to open for a year. If they do open and they check up on it, they'll get shut down again immediately. Just setting expectations here... PS: Knott's, Disney and Universal should absolutely be allowed to open though. I just don't care of Six Flags is allowed to open because they've shown time-and-time-again that they have no intention of enforcing any of their covid policies at any of their parks. They just made them up to trick each state into letting them open. This park opening would honestly be a PR problem for the other parks in the region and a bad look for the industry unless it's drastically different than every other park in the chain which I don't anticipate at all.
  4. Darien Lake can absolutely do Holiday in the Park but there's almost zero chance of it happening this year and if it happens you'll all be pissed off because it would probably open with some lights and no rides as a hilariously bullsh*t ploy to un-freeze everyone's membership and bill them for November, December, January, February, March and April instead of having to wait six months to start charging everyone again (like what's rumored at Great America). I know there's a 99% chance it won't happen but I hope it does so I can read the comments.
  5. If you're apprehensive about going to a theme park that alone is a reason to get Timesaver because nobody is going to be social distancing in queue lines at Dollywood and mask-wearing will probably be decent but far from perfect. That was our experience earlier this year. If you like Mystery Mine and Firechaser then you should absolutely buy it anyway because their capacities suck anyway and now they'll drastically reduced.
  6. Rides have been testing and lots of credible people are openly sharing it. I believe it. It's ballsy for Cedar Fair considering the fact that North Carolina is having a rise in cases (not because going to a theme park is all that dangerous but because there's always a risk of reactionary restrictions), then again they probably planned it months ago... We'll be in Charlotte for Christmas week anyway so we'll probably go and grab a beer while scrolling through my feed full of people riding Nitro, Raging Bull and Candymonium wondering WTF this park's problem is which is becoming a time-honored Christmas tradition.
  7. Man... if not for covid they would have totally been on track for that July opening. The park looks done... Link
  8. I’m so glad I don’t live in California...
  9. It totally is but I’m just not about that. He was also like 16. Lol
  10. Awesome report! ^There was an employee at one of the coasters (I won’t say which... I’m not here to put people on blast) openly telling us (totally unsolicited) that masks were a bunch of crap and that employees needed to stop telling guests to wear them because “nobody freaking cares”. If you care about covid, don’t go to Hershey. They’re probably the worst park I’ve seen year with it and I’ve been to SeaWorld and Great Adventure multiple times. Great Adventure miiiiiight be worse but it’s close. That said, yeah it was an awesome day. I feel like I should go to this park more than I do. I’m totally on team Skyrush now. Candymonium was a blast. When the rest of the group bailed we got two more rides on it including the last one of the night. It’s a front seat ride for sure but it’s fun everywhere. The banked drop is a blast and there’s a really well placed support that you’re convinced you’re going to crash into. To set expectations; I wouldn’t say it’s a top tier B&M hyper but it really doesn’t need to be. It’s still a ton of fun and if you like Hypercoasters that try to kill you it’s only a 5 minute walk. Compare it to something like the Carowinds Intimidator. I’m glad it’s there. I had a ton of fun riding it but if Skyrush didn’t break that’s where we would have been at park close. Lol
  11. Fine by me if this is true, and yeah, Adventureland is a shitshow right now so I’m down for anything that fixes that. Also, I know I’m preaching to the choir and it’s not like this is my original idea here but if you’re at the point where you need a virtual line for the f*cking Jungle Cruise then maybe extend park hours...
  12. I’m not here to discuss the intricacies of what type of bluegrass / country / backwoods whatever-the-f*ck music is what... most people know what I mean. I guess I’ll amend that to “redneck music that I don’t care about” if it makes you feel better.
  13. Skyline chili sucks. I know Cincinnati really wants to have their own *thing* but maybe just take the L on this one, read up on the sunk cost fallacy and maybe try something new. Lol I say this out of love, Cincinnati.
  14. Dollywood is super weird. There are plenty of days where they’re reasonably crowded and absolutely nobody is riding rides. I get it though... their shows are really good around Christmas and many of the people in them have experience on Broadway. The rest of the time the shows are 99% bluegrass music which I don’t care about one bit, but a lot of people clearly do in eastern Tennessee. Lol
  15. This place is loaded with lurkers who don’t post (PS: You should post, only a few of us bite). I feel like the new post reactions are the moment they’ve been waiting for.
  16. I actually thought the food at the brewhouse was legitimately really good.
  17. Well it’s *definitely* the best waterpark in Orlando for the next few months. Lol
  18. Also, on the surface this seems great but if it’s a ploy to un-freeze all Six Flags Great America memberships for 5 additional months as opposed to having to keep them frozen until they open next May without opening any rides then L...o...f*cking... L
  19. Friendly reminder to passholders to make sure you stop at guest services before the end of the year (On the left near the entrance)... as they’re giving out $50 in in-park credits and free drink vouchers which can be used on select beer due to covid. I didn’t even know this was a thing but Brit did and I got a lot of beer This even works with those old busted paper passes (and ours are from Williamsburg).
  20. I can’t believe Chaos is still running but as long as they keep running it we’ll keep popping in for a ride whenever we find ourselves in Vegas.
  21. Great update. It’s a shame about the stupid rules being imposed on them but I really admire the park’s ability to creatively work with them.
  22. That’s weird. It looks fine for me.
  23. I’m so ready for these totally arbitrary and nonsensical covid rules to be over. So a waterpark with no masks was fine all summer but they can’t run a coaster Or a Scrambler with a bunch of empty rows 5 months later with everyone wearing masks? No clue where they came up with that but I have no doubt that they claimed they were “following the science™”
  24. Great Adventure has a strict “restrict these nuts” philosophy in regards to covid restrictions and protocols. It’s the Wild West and that should be abundantly clear by now.
  25. It’s really fun to watch them squeeze this thing into the park.
