That would be awesome, honestly. Mind Eraser in New England is much better now. And yeah like others have said no park would do what Morey's did except Morey's. They charge per ride and they have other things so woven into that space that there's nothing else that they could realistically put there. There's also a water slide and a log flume built all throughout the layout and a lazy river, restroom and tiki hut thing under it. If you watch a POV of it it's actually kind of insane.

So how is the experience so far this season with Fastlane? Any weird, Cedar Point style rules or can you really just keep riding Orion and whatever else as much as you want? -

Yeah, that explains everything (except Gatekeeper, nothing explains Gatekeeper). So then if you have 3 not only is it split up and social distanced but the person sitting alone can't have anyone sit next to them either because they're not in your group? Great Adventure does that sh*t on their frisbee now. It's actually maddening to watch. -

Why are the lines for the B&M's so ridiculous? Other parks don't have this problem if they're loading all rows and limiting park capacity. Wild Eagle is rolling half empty trains daily all season long despite being really popular for all of those reasons, meanwhile Gatekeeper... lol -

Yikes, thanks for the write up. Alright so then I’m just going to Maverick immediately, then Millennium (and I’ll hop in the queue if I can once I get the pass) and then if we get Vengeance later for the afternoon drop great, if not... whatever. I assume if you get to Vengeance elite an hour before they drop the afternoon passes you’re probably fine, right? Again, I’m not expecting to ride much. If I get on Millennium, Maverick and Raptor and have a few beers whatever... I expect a total disaster. Is the front of the park still dead at the end of the night? -

I'm assuming Sky Ride and a bunch of other stuff will be down for staffing but if not, awesome. We're going out there for Kings Island but stopping by Cedar Point because it breaks up the drive a little and if I get to ride Millennium Force even once I'll take it in this disaster of a year. -

So what's the best plan for the boarding pass thing if you don't care about Dragster? Get there at 10, get in line for a Vengeance boarding pass, then a Maverick one, then a Millennium one? Is there any chance of striking out on Millennium with that plan? If so then screw Vengeance. Also, am I correct that they're still doing stand-by until noon and they don't care if you're late for your return time? -
Like I just said that wasn't our experience at all last weekend. They took the ride's maximum capacity from 36 with 3 trains to 12 with 2 trains. It's realistically doing like 400 riders per hour and it's capacity is the same or worse than Maverick this year with covid. Most of the coasters had lines between 30-60 minutes even though they all should have been walk-ons or near walk-ons. Also, Demon Drop had a 30 minute wait at the end of the night which was hilarious, but they're also only running 3 cars on it. Dominator down was a walk-on and waiting for riders while that was happening which made me happy though. Oh, and Thunderhawk's new capacity is 8 riders per train... maximum, but they can't group single riders so probably like 6 or 7 all so they can create needlessly long lines of people not social distancing or wearing masks where the park makes no attempt to enforce it in the name of social distancing. They mowed the grass the other day...

Honestly kind of long-ish for Dorney because their social distancing policies are insane compared to other parks. Example: Steel Force isn’t even skipping every other row, they’re skipping 2/3 of each car. I really can’t stand this. I’m glad the parks are open but running rides at such drastically reduced capacities in the name of social distancing so instead people have to wait 45 minutes for a ride that should be a walk-on in a line where nobody social distancing is dumb. We waited 45 minutes for Talon last weekend which is 44 and a half minutes more than I’ve ever waited for Talon.

Absolutely not. If your visit is contingent on them taking any of their own policies seriously then I recommend going to a different theme park. It's hilarious that they tricked the state into allowing them to operate and I expect them to be shut down the second that anyone with any pull in the state government goes to visit. I'm shocked that it hasn't happened yet. Personally I'm not freaking out about covid. I'm following the mask rules and the social distancing markers and doing my part but I'm still comfortable going to the park knowing that nobody else will care. It annoys me that people are that dumb but Nitro and El Toro exist and it's worth the tradeoff to me. If you're not in that boat then I really recommend visiting another theme park that attempts to care because this park is not it. I'd put the mask thing at about 50%. It starts out promising in the morning and then less and less people care as the day goes on.

It'll do fine. Fright Fest is atrocious anyway and people eat it up. It's not possible for the mazes to get any worse. I walked through a trail last year that was nothing but wood pallets, fog machines and maybe one scare actor that didn't scare anyone. If anything I'll like this better because of the "limited capacity" (lol). PS: Thoughts on mask compliance at night at a Great Adventure haunt event? Over/under 5%?

Dollywood Discussion Thread

You know what, they've actually changed it. I looked when I posted that and they hadn't updated the website but they have now. There used to be a list of rides where they weren't required which was basically all thrill rides and water rides. Now it says that masks will be required on all rides, except water rides or waterpark attractions at Dollywood. Either way, it's really not a big deal. -

Pretty much. I should also clarify that I'm glad that Dragster is open because if you really, really, really want to ride it you have that option but nobody should expect the process to be quick or work as intended when the ride breaks down once an hour. -

Other than Rise of the Resistance style boarding groups which they don't have the tech to do there's no good way to handle Dragster this year and I have no intention of attempting to ride it if we end up there unless we just happen to walk by and get a pass and it somehow works out for us. I guess they're just doing this because it's the least bad option but you can't do return times for a ride that spends 50% of the day down mechanical and not expect 2 hour lines while it's actually operating.
