Don't the lap bars partially release on the brake run anyway? -
One more time for the people in the back; re-posting political posts that have nothing to do with theme parks is the same as posting them yourself. Congratulations, you have a political opinion. Nobody cares. It's a theme park forum. We're just going to delete your posts. Do people get the shakes and start hyperventilating when they can't inject irrelevant political opinions into absolutely everything? I sort of feel the same way. Rules are inconsistent but at least in the Northeast there are a bunch of states with different rules within short driving distance so you can basically do whatever you want if you're willing to drive an hour or two.

Don't ride on a wing and you can sort of brace the restraint with your legs if your feet are on the floor and stop it from closing as tight as it otherwise would. Once I learned how to ride it I started to really like it. I'm on team Skyrush at this point. -
Dollywood Discussion Thread

Well if that's true then the people who were reporting that were wrong. I did a quick search but only found the opposite reported which matches my experience there in June and what they have on their website. I usually wore it on rides anyway even though you didn't have to but the ride op on Drop Line specifically told me that I didn't have to wear it when he saw it still on when he was checking seats. He then went on to tell me that he was in his 80's and "Never saw anything like this covid business before"... Once he told me his age I definitely was not about to take it off. -
They're not going to open Holiday in the Park. There's no reason for them to do that. Anyway guys, I get that people are annoyed with some of these restrictions and in SOME cases I'm with you but let's stop trying to inject politics into everything like for example whatever this means... I know there's a fine line between theme parks and politics in some states right now and feel free to talk about that within reason but don't use this as a platform to inject your irrelevant political grievances into someone else's theme park forum.

You don't even have to wear a face covering on the coasters at Dollywood but yeah also this... -

Holy sh*t, they actually opened Windseeker. -

While I don't dislike the ride I've never entirely understood the crazy hype for Boulder Dash and feel like it almost works against it. I know I've stated before that our last rides on it were legitimately terrible but for the most part whenever we ride it it's a lot of fun and I do like the ride but even when we rode it at night during haunt and had the best rides on it we'd ever had I still feel like it's a little overhyped and probably best enjoyed with more reasonable expectations. I much prefer any RMC wood coaster, El Toro, Phoenix, Twister and others... -
I don't know what to expect here. It's basically a Halloween party I guess but it's stupid, stupid cheap. I love it in theory but I'm interested to see what type of crowd it attracts. That's one of the reasons that I avoid Six Flags Fright Fest events and Busch Gardens seems to be taking the "Give away the gate and get everyone drunk" model to a level that even Six Flags hasn't tried yet.

I just feel like the ride started with a stupid premise that would make it suck no matter what they did (everyone getting on a Fast and the Furious ride probably expects to be going on a thrilling ride in a fast car, not riding in a party bus watching other people drive fast cars) but even aside from that, nothing was executed well. The only compliments that I ever hear about the ride are that the queue and gift shop are nice or that it does a great job keeping people out of the lines for rides that are actually good. If they cloned a cheap Cedar Fair Backlot Stunt Coaster and didn't even bother to plus the effects at all it would arguably be a better Fast and the Furious ride than the piece of shit that they have now.

Welcome to TPR! That's a long trip so I guess if you enjoy driving you could theoretically go anywhere but it's going to be easy to end up with a bunch of 25 hour drives or plane trips if this thread turns into a bunch of people just blurting out their favorite parks and sending you to every corner of the country. Are there any specific parks that you know you really want to go to?

I really don't even think that's still a thing. Is it, because then we got hosed? -

Honestly what even is Phoenix Phall Phunfest at this point? We go because we also like some of the stuff at the festival but it's just an 11-10 standard operating day open to everyone and a tent full of nerds that I don't go in. What else am I missing? -

Oh god, much better (even though it wasn't that good). It's not even close. -

Other than one ride on Banshee that might have even been a wheel issue so I'll wait to ride it in the back again to judge on that one I haven't been on any B&M that I found rough ever (aside from like... Apocalypse and that sh*tty convert in California). I also feel like Gatekeeper might be the smoothest coaster in existence. -

Where is this rumor coming from? Honestly nothing would surprise me because the demand seems low and there's nobody to staff the place but I could also see them powering through the fall with a bunch of closed rides. -

So if they don't release the POV as soon as they can possibly film it, then what? -

I really loved the way the old entrance looked but it really wasn't functional. I'll wait to judge this until I see it in person. I'm sure it's still a work in progress. -

I really enjoyed Disneyland Paris, I'm happy to see others feel the same way since there was a lot of negativity surrounding the resort in the past.
