  2. There aren't but generally there's no reason to double post ever unless your last post was a long time ago and you need to bump the topic with some new information. It's always better to edit an existing post. Anyway hopefully Lightning Rod works now. I'm entirely confused as to what's going on with Mystery Mine because it's totally weird and I'm almost more interested in that project.
  3. I feel like I missed out by going to Kings Island before Vortex was removed.
  4. Is it me or did they cut down a ton more trees?
  5. I don't think that there's anything that I missed out on that I care all that much that I missed out on. I never went to Clementon Park even though it's pretty close but I mean... eh. I've never been to Kennywood and I guess I sort of wish I went sooner as they f*ck it up more and more every year. That's basically it. ... oh! And one time I missed the opportunity to spend a day exploring Montreal because I was at La Ronde like a dipsh*t. That one hurts.
  6. I wasn't that worried but that's great news. SDC and Dollywood know their base and basically have to pander to it but unless they're boxed into that weird situation a gated park would be dumb not to sell alcohol. It prints money and the markup is insane.
  7. The ranking of the CGA Grizzly never makes sense to me. I almost wonder if it's just a meme at this point or something...
  8. Looking at some of these, it’s interesting to me how many people prefer painful coasters to boring ones. I’d rather be bored than in pain (and wow people just hate mine trains). Examples: Corkscrew at Cedar Point performing better than Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gold Rusher being voted as Magic Mountain’s worst coaster, Gold Rusher being voted as Carowind’s worst coaster and Great Adventure’s mine train polling behind Green Lantern.
  9. I feel like this is basically a lateral move. I’m interested to see what happens but I don’t really have a strong opinion on it either way right now.
  10. Lol just looked through this again. People are really taking a good hit off of this Candymonium crackpipe...
  11. Skull Mountain is 420 and I feel like all is right with the universe.
  12. I want to laugh at the fact that people who live among us believe that Copperhead Strike is better than Superman at Six Flags Mexico but then I remember that I have Mystery Mine in the top 20 and Wild Chipmunk ahead of Ravine Flyer II so I guess I have no room to speak.
  13. The site is decently accurate. Obviously things can happen throughout the day and some things that aren’t listed as closed can still be closed (happened to us last time with the frisbee which is a shame because it’s actually great) but if you were in town and the park alert thing didn’t list any coasters I’d say it would be worth taking the gamble.
  14. Yeah, a bunch of parks jumped on the “Budget cut this and blame covid because nobody will question it” gravy train last year. Six Flags was better than most but they’re not above it. Not opening a bad wood coaster for the year when nobody would even give them shit for it sounds like a no-brainer.
  15. For a lot of those events there was also literally nothing else to do in Southern California which probably helped drive up prices (or at least demand) even further. If I weren’t even allowed to eat outdoors or drink water at downtown Disney for a few months then hell, I might pay $80 per family to drive through a theme park too.
  16. Oh that’s right! The first visit was Cyclone closing day right where we planned to ride Cyclone a bunch at park close and then all decided we didn’t give a sh*t and rode Superman instead. Good times. Lol
  17. Did you ever get on Goliath? I legit don’t remember. Lol I remember attempt #1 that ended in “WTF was that noise? Lol that doesn’t sound good” but that’s it.
  18. This is such a loaded question because there are so many different types of parks. I haven’t traveled as much a a lot of people here who are about to show up praising parks like Tokyo Disney Sea and Europa Park but in my limited experience, parks like Knoebels, Disneyland Park California, Animal Kingdom and Cedar Point all come together but those parks couldn’t possibly me more different from eachother (I’d even argue Disneyland Park and Animal Kingdom are nothing alike). One is a classic amusement park with no theming and old rides, one is just loaded with awesome coasters with no theming but in a gorgeous natural setting, one is a massive Disney park with tons of rides and one is just a masterpiece of theming and design with a limited ride lineup and tons of animals. I don’t know how to rank them or how to compare them to other parks or eachother. TL;DR: I don’t know
  19. Okay everyone likes different things but you're gonna have to walk me through this one.
  20. It’s not a joke but it’s meaningless. They will open when the state lets them and they have no idea when that’s going to be.
  21. It's weird that they're opening later since they're doing the opposite basically everywhere else. Maybe they've just been reading this thread and they just want another 2 weeks of sanity.
  22. Yeah even if the park has power and could open the optics of using power to run rollercoasters when being asked to conserve energy wouldn’t be worth the PR backlash that they would totally get and deserve. Plus the park would probably be empty anyway...
  23. Oh we’re hating on Elitch Gardens? I’d like to throw in the fact that I really hated Elitch Gardens a lot and only didn’t mention it because I didn’t really think of it as a big park but if we’re going to dog on that park I don’t want to miss it. They need to hurry up and close. They tried to distract me with the refillable beer cup and that was pretty solid I’ll admit, but I still hate that place.
  24. They would be stupid not to sell Fastlane since it's a license to print money but... you know
