  1. I've never had an issue getting through to SeaWorld. Maybe they're just crazy since it's Spring Break?
  2. Yeah, I mean if you told me that happened on Fury 325 I wouldn't believe you but Windstorms and Reverchon mice... lol. I'd have got right back in line, the seatbelt is fine by itself but that's still the only time I've ever seen that happen but... yeah. Also yeah, I'm pretty sure Adventure Park USA has a "Jesus take the wheel" approach to maintenance on that thing.
  3. I hate the way that Cedar Fair has been running their parks lately with covid but Kings Island is much less terrible than the rest. Get Fastlane though...
  4. My restraint on Ragin Cajun straight-up failed 2 weeks ago. Maybe they should check them an extra time to be honest. I wasn’t even going to mention it since it’s the like of thing that enthusiasts will brush off as it basically never happens and I’ve never personally seen it before on any coaster ever but at some point mid-ride the bar was up around shoulder level and relying on the fact that it was chained to the other bar to keep it that low. It was still semi-locked if you lowered it again and it didn’t happen again but it was crazy. The ride has a seatbelt too which in-itself is sufficient to keep you in the ride so I wasn’t freaking out about it but I had a major “WTF?” moment there for a minute.
  5. I don't wish death on any wood coaster because if you re-track them and spend the money they can all be good but I will say that our only ride on it was terrible and we only rode once because we actually felt like we rode once and didn't die and we were already tempting fate. I also have a small splinter of wood that hit me in the face on my ride as a souvenir forever. It would be a cool ride if they took care of it though.
  6. Yeah, I'm expecting a shitshow. Hopefully people are just happy to get what they get for the first few weeks because the trade-off is waiting another month. For example: if someone shows up with a stupid refillable drink cup and complains on here that it took 45 minutes to fill it or something like that I'm just warning you now that I'm going to laugh at you. ...hard
  7. It’s hilarious that everyone on the internet is worried because they’re going to have a structural engineer make sure the ride isn’t on the verge of collapse before they reopen it and EVERYONE knows that’s a pretty lofty standard for this thing.
  8. I’m legitimately just really happy for you guys after waiting so long. Have a great time.
  9. I just saw that you can now buy Timesaver online and just scan your phone at rides rather than having to go to the Timesaver building if you don’t want to. Is that new? It’s awesome and I don’t think I’ve seen another park offer that (though they probably do and I just don’t know about it).
  10. I expect the line for Steel Vengeance to stretch to the (other) train tracks by 9:15 all summer long, the only difference is it won't start moving for 45 minutes now.
  11. Nobody should be surprised that Six Flags is opening as soon as possible and other parks are taking forever (though I get why Disney is). That's what's been happening in every single market. Honestly, go Six Flags. I love them lately and I don't know how I feel about it.
  12. My assumption is that the lists are the way that they are because they're just going to staff people on either side of Coasters Drive-In or the far Sky Ride station checking passes.
  13. The park has released some new information for 2021. Of note: Steel Vengeance will only be open for early entry on Saturdays and Sundays. The brand new ride will debut on May 28 but will close for the season on Labor Day weekend. The new ride will not be open for Early Entry because why would a new ride be open for Early Entry? Ride lines will close early if the lines are long Also, here is the early and golden entry ride list, though unless you have Fastlane which they may-or-may-not sell most people will be spending it standing in front of Steel Vengeance anyway waiting for it to open in an hour and not actually riding anything: All who qualify for the Early Entry perk will have access to: Ocean Motion Midway Carousel GateKeeper Kiddy Kingdom (11 rides) Cadillac Cars Cedar Downs Racing Derby Dodgem Valravn Raptor Millennium Force Maverick Skyhawk Magnum XL-200 Steel Vengeance (Saturdays & Sundays ONLY) During Golden Entry, Cedar Point Gold Passholders will have access to these rides: Ocean Motion Midway Carousel GateKeeper Kiddy Kingdom (11 rides) Cadillac Cars Cedar Downs Racing Derby Dodgem Valravn Raptor Link I've dogged on this chain a lot lately and I don't want to say anything negative so I have no comment at all. Instead here's a funny cat gif.
  14. The ops are always bad. That ride has 700 ride vehicles so they can make sure they stack 698 of them at all times. Bring a book to read on the brake run.
  15. I'm not too optimistic on the Pantheon opening date since Loch Ness Monster, Alpengeist and Tempesto don't even have an opening date yet. lol
  16. That's disappointing. Hopefully they can open the full park soon.
  17. I just saw that they cleared a ton of trees around Tennessee Tornado too. Man, I normally love this place but WTF are they doing lately?
  18. No random regional park in Pennsylvania is going to put a bunch of different size drop towers right next to eachother, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Please don't be ridiculous.
  19. I didn't know you could check into rides either. lol And yup, we had the best day we've ever had at SFA outside of HITP. It's still easily the worst Six Flags park where they don't speak French but I feel like they know they suck and they're trying. They actually paint rides which I guess is more than I can say for Great Adventure, Superman ran 2 trains which I've never seen before and since our last visit they added a bathroom near Superman and turned Apocalypse from "f*cking atrocious" to just "really bad" so things are looking up!
  20. OMG how do we ALWAYS barely miss you? We were there yesterday too. ^ Wild One opened around 5:30. We saw it cycling with riders with people for the first time since we got there around 1 and considered walking over but we were on the other side of the park and heading out so we didn't bother.
  21. Great report! It was nice hanging out again. This event was awesome. I couldn't believe they opened Alpengeist,
