  1. I love how enthusiasts say "by the GP" to make themselves feel better about themselves. We're on a forum with a bunch of enthusiasts and they're also complaining about the wait times right here in this thread. In my experience enthusiasts complain way more than "the GP". The ride is better open than closed. If the wait times bother you then don't ride it but the people that want to ride it still get to while they work out their problems. Sounds like a great compromise. I'd rather hang with "the GP".
  2. Vary the trees and kill that ugly pink path. Otherwise very nice.
  3. ^ Yeah I actually had to re-read that a few time to see where he was "being a dick". People are so thin skinned.
  4. So basically everyone moved next to a pier that was there forever. The pier was destroyed, then they wanted to rebuild it but they were worried that it would be exactly how it was when they moved there and knew what they were getting into (lots of lights and sounds of screaming riders) so they decided they wouldn't rebuild? Cool.
  5. I'm just gonna leave this here... Knoebels fires ride operator accused of working while high How much are Knoebels tickets going for on the black market? Also next time, plead the 5th.
  6. I agree with this completely. Leap the Dips is amazing. Lakemont though... wow that park sucks.
  7. Since the offseason really starts after Labor Day weekend this must be really disappointing for the park. Hopefully they get at least one of these rides open soon.
  8. What did the lift fins do and why do so many people care? On our ride I barely remember the "lift hill" experience.
  9. I don't see how anyone can disagree with this statement. Yeah, well, try being stuck on the brakes in the flying position for 15 minutes barely able to breathe. Superman can go die in a fire. Eh... if it's not your thing don't ride (though I know that's not the norm and I agree that the brake runs on flyers suck) it but I applaud them for having it open even in a limited capacity. I still say it's better than being closed.
  10. I agree with this but honestly no floorless coasters really "wow" me. Dominator is the best otherwise, but Rougarou is one of my favorites because of how forceful it is since it's really an old school B&M. Don't get me wrong... it's no Kumba. But the turn before the swooop into the midcourse is almost Maverick-esque (though not on the same level). Rougarou near the back of the train is really solid.
  11. That's quite the leap to make based on a few rocks.
  12. Doubtful but I hope so. That ride absolutely blows.
  13. I assume you're talking to defrocker? Anyway the oppressive heat is probably going to cause a lot of coasters to run over speed. It's a great week for coaster riding in the eastern U.S.
  14. Well given the fact that every single B&M hyper giga ever built is butter smooth except for people that are complete p*ssies I'm sure it'll be fine. Also Fury? Rough? I have 2 theories. One is that you're a p*ssy. The other (and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, I don't know you ) is that the ride needs a wheel replaced. Nitro can get a bad shake when this happens but they switch it out and it's good as new. The only difference is that Carowinds will probably be on top of things and switch it quickly. At Great Adventure it takes months before they do anything about it and we just learn what trains and rows to avoid.
  15. Not to speak for anyone but this thread might give you some answers.
  16. I don't see how anyone can disagree with this statement.
  17. Webcam is on Mean Streak. He's definitely screwing with you people. Behold. Bask in the greatness.
  18. I have a thing for Comet. I don't know what it is. There's very little airtime (with a few exceptions) but it's a fun little coaster.
  19. Wild One is awesome but it may kick your ass in a wheel seat. You've been warned. Ride in the middle row of any car.
  20. As long as the Intamins, Great Bear, and Lightning Racer are open you can get the best ones. Wildcat honestly is like Lightning Racer (in terms of layout and air time) if you remove the racing and add bumpiness. Wildcat... like Lightning Racer but without the "good".
  21. Line for Nitro should be about 21 minutes. 37 minutes for El Toro but it should go down to about a 12 minute wait by 9:24 or 9:25 after the brief rain shower. No issues at all with Chiller. It's been running about as often this season as it always has.
  22. Wow. They really didn't have to do any of that but that's really nice. It's great to hear about such awesome guest service at a Six Flags park.
  23. Why did they close Skull Mountain? For weather? WTF? I'll be honest. I'd leave right now before that second one hits. I doubt anything re-opens.
