I've been wanting to do a Valleyfair / Mall of America / Target Field trip for awhile now. The fact that in the event of bad weather you can just decide last minute what day is a Valleyfair day and what day is a mall day makes it even more appealing. Neither park seems overly amazing (though the flume at Mall of America is calling my name), but it sounds like it would be a fun trip.

Just what you want when you're a park located on a boardwalk in New Jersey.

Not going to lie -- he's been wanting to ride MS ever since he saw the POV, since he absolutely loves wooden coasters This kid sounds awesome.

Checkpoint is still there and yes I believe the bridge is relatively new. Im not sure what year (it was my first time there) but there is a new parking area and trail that leads you up there. That's actually awesome since it would provide a really great view of the dam. I assume that's where the last picture was taken from obviously but that would be stunning to see in person.

That's really not the point of my post at all, but of course it's arguable. You guys have an Intamin hyper and if you're the type of person that enjoys Vekoma Flyers (guilty) then it's plausible that you might prefer SFA. Everyone likes different things.

On Wicked Cyclone the Flash Pass person also serves as the grouper so I'm sure they're still there since they're essential to being able to sell Flash Passes. It's not a position you can cut. I'm cautiously optimistic on this one.

Omfg. Y'all get hand me downs. Six flags America has two hand me down coasters from six flags great America and your complaining. Since y'all want to complain in this thread let's compare line ups. A few things... 1) The fact that another park is arguably worse doesn't make a park suck any less. You think Six Flags America sucks but if I showed up wanting to "compare lineups" with Conneaut Lake it would look like Disneyland. 2) I've never been to Six Flags St. Louis so I can't comment on it, but I think Holiday in the Park will give everyone a slightly better opinion of the place. Hopefully that turns out to be the case.

No, but it's still a great ride. It's not rough or anything it's just a bit sluggish and has stupid restraints. If you can, ride it in row 1. It used to be a back seat ride but now it's a front seat ride.

Those Tsunami Soaker rides are a great idea and a ton of fun. I wish every park in the chain would get one to be honest.

Is that bridge parallel to the dam new? When we visit about 10 years ago I don't remember it being there. It makes sense though as (at the time) we had to go through security checkpoints to reach the dam (which is annoying if you're just passing through) and I'd imagine the cars provide unnecessary wear and tear.

Great report. I really want to get out to SFDK and CGA. We almost made the trip this year but now with Patriot on the way I'm glad we waited. Also the last part is hilarious.

Cedar Point has the same hours Friday, Saturday and Sunday since Monday is a holiday. They close earlier on Monday. They also have passholder ERT Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (though I'm not sure if you're a passholder). Friday: Millennium Force & Rougarou Saturday: Top Thrill Dragster & Raptor Sunday: Valravn We'll be there all weekend.

I'm not sure why you're still on about this. Are you trying to justify why you're offended? You don't need to do that. You're welcome to react however you want to my posts and I'm welcome to not care. Which I don't. At all. I brought up a bunch of entirely valid points about the KD thread that you chose to ignore because you know if you talked to Robb about the (hilarious) way he talked to Madmax like you're talking to me about this much more lighthearted sarcasm you'd be mocked in a hilarious way (as you should be) and possibly banned. I apologize all the time when I cross the line (search through my posts) but I don't apologize if you're offended by me talking about PowerPoint presentations. Especially when the person I was actually talking to doesn't care at all and hit me back with a really funny line because he has a sense of humor. Can we please drop this. You're all offended. To be fair, I'm not exactly going out on a limb by saying any of things I just said. I guarantee that pretty much all of it will be 100% accurate because it happens every single year. Opening day is ALWAYS a disaster. If you're a passholder then by all means go and get some rides in, but if it's a big trip for someone and they've been saving up to visit I would wait until at least Memorial Day to visit Cedar Point. Seriously...
