Lol we don't agree on much of anything. Great report though. -
Littering is bad, but I actually do remember being entirely unable to find a trash can for our empty Tim Horton's cups when we rode the ride. We placed them on the exit platform and threw them out later because we're not a**holes, but I'm not surprised to see this. I'm not excusing it, but I'm not surprised either because people suck and there are no garbage cans around that ride.

You people think I'm making this up. See what this guy did? Don't be like him. [emoji38] The problem with your advice, while I did take it to heart yesterday and actually somewhat enjoyed my ride, is everyone else from TPR is taking your advise and I had to listen to a bunch of coaster enthusiasts talk about the stupidest things for 25 minutes... (cell phone grab from the lift and a protein spill is why the wait was so long) Wow, I never thought my own advice could backfire. Hopefully I don't have to deal with that on labor day weekend. -

Same here based on his other posts. They seem to be too well worded. This probably isn't the place to talk about that as it's entirely off topic and I'm sorry about that but I'm officially creeped the hell out. -

I'm sure there is but if it was major they probably would have announced it already. I'm thinking it's something along the lines of new passholder perks or special events. Maybe it's a new flower garden I don't know. I wouldn't read too far into it at all. -

Incredibly plausible. Buy a wristband because the cost per ride is astronomical but the wristband is totally reasonable, in addition to the coasters, the flume, drop tower and "it". Are must rides. "it" has lap bars and is by far the best ride of it's kind I've ever ridden and the flume is insane. With apologies to Kings Dominion it might actually be my favorite. -

Right now I'm officially stumped as to what's going on with Hurler. If it doesn't open with the park next year it'll raise a lot of questions, but I agree that we can safely assume that there won't be any major changes with it for 2017. It seems like the only options are that it re-opens, probably with some minor track work or it doesn't and we start this whole cycle over again. -

We parked on the street a few blocks back. If you pay for parking you're an a**hole . You're going to do a ridiculous amount of walking anyway between the 3 piers so there's no reason not to park a few blocks back and save like 20 bucks. At that point a little extra walking isn't a big deal. I was actually really surprised to see so much free parking so close to the beach. -

That looks like a pretty sweet deal. We'll be booking that for sure next year. I think it's hilarious how much they need to beat it into people that they can't use the bathroom on the wheel. It says it in a prominent spot on the website and marketing materials too which means it must come up a lot. People are f**king idiots, I swear. -

Marineland is the strangest park I've ever been to but I actually really enjoyed the place. Dragon Mountain is awesome simply for how weird it is, the drop tower is the best S&S tower in existence due to the location and view of the falls (though it requires a ridiculous hike in the sun to reach it) and you can feed and pet a Beluga for like 8 bucks. It's a screwed up park with an owner who's evidently insane but I'd recommend it to anyone. -

God dammit there's a new credit at Jolly Roger? I really don't want to go back there. I hate that place. I never understood their obsession with switching out coasters constantly at that location (especially when they replaced a Wildcat with another Wildcat) while at the same time leaving that awful looping star thing on the pier and never replacing it. -

We did the Wonderland / Niagara Falls / Toronto / CN Tower / Blue jays game thing last year and loved every second of it. Did you do the Maid of the Mist or Hornblower boat ride? That's absolutely stunning. Also, next time you're in Toronto I recommend the CN Tower Edge Walk. That's an awesome yet terrifying experience. -

They didn't get anything in 2009 unless you count the Starlight Experience. -
We went down to Coney Island for the first time in over 10 years last week for National Roller Coaster Day and I was really impressed. I have a full trip report coming but when I was there ten years ago I hated everything about the place. The Cyclone was running terribly, everything was run down and sh*tty and I couldn't wait to leave. Going there now you wouldn't believe it was the same place. Thunderbolt is a ton of fun, the atmosphere is awesome, Cyclone was running amazing and the smaller coasters are all fun too (well... except the volare). They had a great flat selection too that we didn't have time for but shockingly we'll probably be back. I'm blown away by the Coney Island transformation. Oh, and Wonder Wheel is still awesome.

Great Adventure doesn't believe in lights unless it's Holiday in the Park. Midways and rides are ridiculously dark. It makes for kind of a crappy nighttime atmosphere, but it also makes for great night rides on just about all of their coasters (especially El Toro, Nitro, Batman, Kingda Ka and even Joker).

Great report so far. Did you ride the chairlift at Lake Compounce? If not you missed out.
