  1. I enjoy Flight of Fear, too--but it can give you a good bone shaking from time to time. I have to admit (and maybe I'm just lucky), I've never experienced that on the KD version. It's always been perfectly smooth. The KI version (while still a great ride) runs bit rougher but I never experienced that at KD.
  2. They also manufacture track for the S&S free spins and it appears that there may be a metric f**k ton of those on the horizon.
  3. You people think I'm making this up. See what this guy did? Don't be like him.
  4. I still contend that Flight of Fear is awesome and I never understood why nobody agrees with me. I love that thing, it's probably my favorite indoor coaster in the U.S except maybe Mummy. Backlot is also a great family coaster as is Avalanche and I'm one of the eight people that actually likes Anaconda so it makes for a pretty killer lineup for me.
  5. KD's are definitely snappable. It's no Knoebels but I can snap them and I suck.
  6. ^^You're talking to someone who understands the business side of the industry fairly well actually. Unlike with 99% of the people on this site when he posts about these types of things it's worth listening to. You don't have to agree but it's not like he's just spewing bull*** like just about everyone else does on a daily basis.
  7. Night rides tonight. More time at the park is always a good thing.
  8. I think it plays a role. BGW is undoubtedly nicer but KD is a beautiful park.
  9. I think so. Hopefully that'll be converted next year. That would be great. Green Lantern's layout at Great Adventure has potential to be an incredible coaster. I like the Carowinds Vortex. I actually hope they leave it alone. Green Lantern needs to die but it won't happen. We have Bizarro and Lantern is actually popular for some reason.
  10. Rougarou won't have a line on a slow day. Raptor, Blue Streak and Gatekeeper will still have lines in the morning but if you ride then later they should all be incredibly short waits.
  11. Do you need platinum for Joker? I heard that swirling around but I'm unable to confirm it anywhere.
  12. We simply cannot tolerate any more of your insanely stupid posts. Banned for being one of the biggest idiots we've ever had on TPR. Thank you Larry and Robb for banning him. This thread was nothing but a nightmare with him here. Hey with him gone Bill should be coming back now. I'm willing to bet that he's going to try and create another account. Is anyone else willing to bet this? That would be a bad bet. You know he has already started another profile. Honestly lurking on this forum isn't that bad. Its mostly what I do, although during rumor season I post a lot. You should post more. It makes me feel better about humanity to see someone who's 16 and actually able to form a complete sentence / rational thought. We don't get much of that around here. And yeah on the subject of Kings Dominion, I know I said this a few pages back but I prefer it to KD and Carowinds and the section that really sells me is the area back by the flyers and flume and international street which is much nicer than the KI version. I guess I have a thing for trees which those other parks are lacking in and KD has a ton of. KD is very underrated in terms of aesthetics.
  13. I understand that this isn't the time or the thread for rational thinking but personally KD might still be my favorite park in the chain after Cedar Point. I prefer it to Ki, Knotts, Carowinds, Dorney and Wonderland for sure. KI might have a better coaster lineup (debatable) but KD has much nicer atmosphere, great flats and a spectacular log flume. Anyway go back to your relentless bitching.
  14. Didn't they just update the kids area?
  15. They're not doing an announcement in front of hundreds of people in a theater to announce Mass Effect. In my opinion, all eyes should be on Hurler.
  16. In the Loop will be live streaming it on Facebook.
  17. Nah they can run, you just have to want it bad enough. Six Flags Great Adventure blew that whole "minimum temperature limit on B&M's" thing all the way to hell where it belongs last winter. Maybe our coasters are different because they're Jersey Strong. Lol (spoiler alert: they're not, man up Cedar Fair, stop listening to B&M. That's boring). PS: 30 degrees is a god damn heat wave. We ride it when it was in the 20's too. They didn't close a single ride because of low temps for the entire event and the world didn't end.
  18. The operative word is "May". Cedar Point can't get out of their own way the first few weeks of the season. I don't suggest anyone (besides a local with a season pass) visit this place until after Memorial Day. Once they hit their stride, early entry is very reliable.
  19. Read the post literally two posts above yours. Two... ... Two
  20. Oh yeah I'm not really expecting an announcement. This seems like a "Winter Chill Out" kind of thing.
