Invertalon Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Oh my goodness, that's Olmsted Falls, isn't it! I live right up the street from that park. It is so pretty in the autumn. Yep, that is Olmsted Falls! Funny you live so close. My job route takes me right through the area and great northern once a week. We stopped by and loved it. Can't wait to go back again, beautiful park!
Invertalon Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Here are a few from today taken with my new toy, the 70-200 f/2.8L II This lens is beastly, to say the least. Like the feel of this photo, a bit "gothic" My husky, Kobi
Invertalon Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Here is a shot from my upcoming IOA/Universal/Florida Zoo's Photo TR...
tiger01 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 ^Can't Wait! I'm not a potter fan but it seems that it will be a great TR!
Invertalon Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I hope to have it up sometime soon... Maybe by next week at the latest. But for those who don't like HP, there are plenty of photos that have nothing to do with HP!
B&MIntaminGCI Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I just got my Canon Rebel XS for Christmas, so I haven't had the opportunity to take a lot of photos yet, but come summertime I don't think my camera will leave my side. This is my Flickr
Angry_Gumball Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Not a whole lot to share at the moment, though I did happen to test out some lizard photography, as well as a couple of our cats... Shot with a Canon T2i My ball of fluff! And another cat that can be overly friendly at times.
XII Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Here are a couple of my favorite photos that I've taken. Backstage Photo of Scream during Westcoast Bash. (That event is awesome. Buy your tickets now.) Dolphins @ SFDK Top Gun (Flight Deck) The Ventura Pier The Moon California Screamin Pepsi Orange Streak Fun at the City Museum The Gateway Arch Fun on Tidal Wave's Bridge Vancouver World of Color Jupiter 2010 Lunar Eclipse. (The damn clouds blocked out the moon.) Superman's new paint job Thunderstorm from the TPR Bridge Party at Six Flags Great America. My dog Rosie.
davisal771 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I've always liked taking photos, and when I can, I'm going to take a photography class at school. Here are a couple pictures I've taken recently, I used my phone with the Vignette app, it adds a bunch of cool effects that can make a picture look really cool. The pictures are really large, so I'm just going to link to the page that has it, instead of posting them. My friend Annica, in one of the computer labs, after class. I used PhotoShop and took out a few people in the background No PhotoShop here, just the Vignette app. I really like the timing I got on this one
DiSab Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 So a random question, but I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a DSLR camera. I have a Sony point-and-shoot that's nice, but I'd like a nice, decently-priced DSLR to use as well. I pretty much know the basics for them, I took an intro photo class a few years ago with SLR film cameras, and I really enjoyed it. Any info on something I could look into would be great.
monkeyoverlord71 Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 ^ What sort of price range are you looking for? Any specific features wanted?
DiSab Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Ideally maybe in the $600-800 range, if not lower. I'm poor and didn't realize how much they cost, so I may have to wait a little bit before I get one. Nothing really fancy though, probably just the basic/standard lens - I don't need one of those giant telescope lenses.
monkeyoverlord71 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I'd recommend the Canon EOS 550D AKA Rebel T2i. It's a great starter camera but is good enough to keep using as you get better.
coastercrutchfield Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I was trying to take some photos of my cat to test the photo quality on my Sony CX550v Camcorder, and it takes some pretty nice pics for a video camera
tiger01 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I took this picture when walking out of my house to go to swimming in the evening. I no longer do swimming now but I still got this amazing picture. Believe it or not, this was taken with an iphone.
imawesome1124 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 That's a great picture, it looks like cotton candy.
tiger01 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 That's a great picture, it looks like cotton candy. It was a good day the next day too!
coastercrutchfield Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 It's sad to say that this thread will never be the same now that Invertalon is gone...
Popcorn54 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I was using UV Lighting to experiment last night More at My Flickr
pagemaster_b Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Not sure if I posted these or not, but here are some of my favorites. I took this picture while standing in troop hatch of a moving Armor Personnel Carrier. Only in Oregon do we get such dark clouds and such bright sunlight at the same time. Looks are decieving. My brother and his two kids are actually far enough away that they did not get wet. I love watching things blow up!!!
davisal771 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Hey all, I've always liked photography and I'm looking into purchasing a DSLR. I won't be able to afford a new one, so I've been looking for secondhand ones on craigslist. I have around 400 bucks to spend, (though that doesn't really matter) I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any cameras to look out for
