Yes, Bobby, much better. I know the shades/porn look is in (and you do it well, too), but you have great eyes - show them off! Plus, it looks like you are on or inside a ride in this picture

Thank you You are very sweet! Yes, I was on the Himalaya at Kennywood.

I just need support and this is where I will turn to. I'm gay, and really, I seem to be taking it hard...

We are here for you!! Do you live near a large city? Almost all major cities have some sort of gay/lesbian resource center for teens. Don't forget the It Gets Better webstie is a awesome website for support too!

Well I live north of Pittsburgh, (kind of obvious through my profile pic), but a problem with me is I haven't told my parents, and I'm kind of scared to, so I can't really go searching for physical groups where I can meet people, although those online chats were a good idea.

Parents and telling them isn't an easy thing to do, no matter how "nowadays" anybody tells you.

And it's soooo much easier to find groups, organizations, and chat groups online,

than me and my era had to go through. So much easier.

But I have been there and went through it, back in the 1970s! Doesn't change, no matter the decade.

It's always a scary/personal to do. Best thing I can advise, is do it when positive stuff is going on.

During a fight or just a negative atmosphere doesn't do well for such announcements. Trust me.

And hey - we're here. And we love coasters too!

I was terrified to tell my mom at age 17! Once I did and she was completely fine with it I felt amazing! Plus I was dating someone and did not want to lie to who my BF was to anyone. I was proud of him.

I visited Breham, TX. It is about an hour I think south west of Houston. We were about an hour from Galveston if that helps.

do you mean Brenham, Texas? (I'm assuming typo here )

it's almost exactly 1/2 way between Austin & Houston (close to College Station), and is famous for two things:

1) it's considered the Heart of Bluebonnet Country (tons of flower trails)

&

2) it's home to Blue Bell Ice Cream Creameries -- you can take a tour! It really is the best damn Ice Cream in the Country!

glad you got to visit someone in real life, and hope it works out.

hugs,

bert

Yes, I meant Brenham. I loved it there. I come from Baltimore so I am used to everything so close and everyone on top of one another. I really like the area a lot. I like that it is kinda country but yet still close enough to Houston if I wanted to get a taste of the city.

I will have to tell the guy I am seeing to show me some of these trails - we both do like to do outdoor activities.

YES!!!! I LOVED Blue Bell Ice Cream. I tried a few flavors when I was there and Kevin actually took me to the factory to get a sample - too bad the factory tour was closed that day. My favorite flavor is Crazy kookie Dough!

I know its really scary to tell your parents, but its really important to do so. I am younger than you, and I told my parents a couple months ago (it was a very positive reaction). Its also important to tell a few close friends, which I am still working on. So far I have told one friend, and they have had the same positive reaction.

Good luck!

I agree! We should celebrate coming out every day.

This past weekend was Baltimore Pride and I had such a blast! Yesterday was the festival part we have in a park in the city. My family and I always stay at the drag stage all day because my mom loves watching the drag queens/kings perform. There was a drag king who came out and started performing Marry Me by Bruno Mars. I love the song and started singing along.

I than looked over to my right and I noticed that all of his friends were filming his performance - now not like just one or two. There were at least 5 people filming the performance. I thought to myself why are they all filming its not like its this amazing performance. He was just standing there mouthing the words. Than one of his friends brought this girl up to him. I thought it was just people having good fun.

Well the guy singing got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. So it was her GF that was brought down. I was in instant tears. I was so excited that the first proposal I ever witnessed was a gay one.

It brought back all the awesome thought out and creative proposals I have witnessed on YouTube.

I am so happy we have marriage now in MD

So recently I've made a observation about coaster enthusiast and the bear community. Nearly every event I attend I realize most of the many gay attendees are bears! Honestly roving groups of bears walking around and riding rides being all adorable and such! Am I the only one to notice this? Also why bears more than other gay groups? I personally love it though! They're the nicest and least bitchy!

Either way being a coaster enthusiast is very gay! And by gay I mean we all are! When I was young I would dream about meeting another enthusiast and falling in love! Also dreamed of large groups of hot enthusiast in a hot tub after a long day at a park but that's a completely different thing LoL Either way I did find myself a amazing man and while he isn't a enthusiast he still rides with me and I love every second of it! Now don't get me wrong I still dream of hot tubs but ehh who wouldn't!? LoL

I agree! I fit right into the "typical" gay crowd but I stay far away from them! I find the bear/cub/daddy types to be the MOST friendliest of the gay community. I get along with so many of them and sometimes prefer to go to their bars/clubs over the typical gay places because I get tired of the crap and drama.
