metrock
Just south of Magic Mountain, off the Old Road you will find a kennel unlike any other. The owner is a big collector of sorts. Just about everything that leaves Magic Mountain seems to make it's way to his property. He also has other theme park items from across the country. My Aunt/Uncle/Cousin is good friends with the owner. I was there visiting and he let me look around. So, don't go snooping around without permission. I am sure if you give the guy a call and ask, he would take you on a tour. Anyways, to the pictures. Bugs Bunny says: "Good Bye" The old 99 train is slowly being refurbished. the ower plans to have the train go around the property. Supports for Eagles Flight and some other miscellaneous things Eagles Flight These statues were fabricated for Magic Mountain, but never used. haux
That is awesome. I had no idea someone got all this great stuff. It's also sort of a shame to see that SFMM doesn't have some of that cool stuff anymore.
SharkTums
Does he ever sell any of the stuff? I'd love one of the giant tiki's that looks like the Hurricane Harbor ones!
Jew
haha, you beat my friend (iZak) to posting these by a couple of days! A few years ago when we were still working at SFMM, we stopped by there after work and got permission to look around. He just found the CD with those pictures and was going to post them. Seemed like anything that SFMM couldn't possibly need for parts went to this property!
metrock
^ Good timing, huh? Well I am sure he has pictures that I didn't stick up. I wasn't able to find all of the pictures I took. Must be on a CD somewhere. You know, I was just thinking. Its only a matter of time before we see Flashback on his property.
iZak
^ Yeah...What the hell? That's so ironic that you just posted those...Joey and I were just talking about the CD last night! Anyway, I'm working on a website for that place ("fan-based"). Wanna help? PM me and we'll talk...
DerekRx
That's a pretty cool looking place. Soon he's going to have all the good stuff from Magic Mountain and be able to reopen the park in its heyday right down the road. That'd be cool!
Jeezus Juice
You know, with all of this talk about incresed guest service/more characters ect it seems what the park really needs is a lot of these rides that were taken out over the years. I would gladly trade Scream, Deja Vu, Viper, and the woodies for a dark ride, sky way, another dark ride, and a train! Thanks for the pictures, definately a weird find. Funny, I found an exact replica of the Pele' statue from the Tikiroom preshow in Big Lots last week. If only it wasn't $30. Although I bet a Disneyfan would pay about $200 for it on ebay! -Don
colossus
thats so cool i drive right by that place everyday. i always wanted to know why there were statues from gotham city there. ~Chris-O
ebl
I've heard of this place. It'd be great to pay them a visit and take a trip back in time. I wonder how many of those old ride vehicles I've actually ridden in? Eric
slick
That's pretty damn cool really. I can just imagine this guy's house in a few years time... "Needa get the mail? Take the Chairlift." "Mow the lawns? No worry, just train it round the place." "Memory loss. Flashback!"
Eunuch Provocateur
That's really cool... Even though it's just a junkyard of sorts. I wonder if there will ever be a roller coaster museum that could house these types of things.
