  1. If there's one thing I learned from your essay, don't print it yellow on gray! Goddam are those colors not good for long essays...
  2. Every damn time! This just gets better and better! Jay, Neil, Tim: You guys are obviously trying to better this park. At first I was skeptical of all the hype surrounding the park, as if it were simply you guys buttering up the coaster community for good PR. But months have passed and you're still on that same track. Keep it up, it's looking great! I have regained my liking of this theme park.
  3. Are you kidding me? Tommy's is end-all be-all awesomeness. Chili burgers. Honestly, they're probably a LA-area equivalent to White Castle. You love it or you hate it, and you will most definitely pay for it within the next few hours after consuming their burgers. Is White Castle worse than McDonald's or Burger King? On the bus ride from Arcata to Martinez, CA, the Amtrak bus always stops at a Burger King in Ukiah and those are the ONLY times I ever get car sick. That place is fucking disgusting.
  4. The right column seems like it's forum specific, so why not call it something like TPR Roundup or something like that (I know that sounds like the MiceChat thing, but, y'know, i"m none too creative) "Top Forum Threads" "Favorites from the Forum" Also the little white message before the update columns seems kind of non-sequitur... A simple message about why you should join the forums. Maybe make it the same as the Save the Date! thingies above it, with the small picture being a screen shot of the mySpace or something... You don't really need to bump the forum since most everyone in the coaster community already knows about them! And if they don't, all the great threads that're linked below already give them a solid gauge of the awesomeness to abound. And the empty chunk on the right column could be eliminated by either A) Making the Special Features section centered or B) Putting older topics up there...
  5. What's with the "extreme rider's" gloves? Maybe he's super OCD?
  6. The track does look wider... At least than Viper next to it... Unless it's caused by having an outer rail to it. I think the main problem, obviously, lies in the seat positioning. You have them out there flailing, there's going to be a good amount of, well, flail, since there's no track beneath to stabilize it.
  7. Robb, I think you succeeded in making this event the "Solace Killer." There's a ton of coverage of this event and about one or two reports from Solace here. That's great because it means that Solace will have to either A) continue to suck and flounder or B) step it up and kick some equal ass next year!
  8. Is there anything in the KotD building currently? I always thought that there'd be a coaster station up there but two after SB and there's still nothing. As far as I know.
  9. It seems crazy to see nothing but positive reviews about SFMM. I can't even imagine what the park is like today because I was madly in love with the place in 02, 03 when it was falling apart. I think it's crazy that the GM of a theme park has said that you can ask for him at Guest Relations and actually TALK to him. That's some crazy-awesome sheeot.
  10. So this is where the Wild Mouse concept is headed? It seems like it's the modern day equivalent of what Flashback was during its hey-day. Super-compact, super-crazy turns. And then the element of hanging upside down and praying to not get stuck. It looks ridiculous, but I don't know if it looks fun.
  11. How awesome would it be if Gravity Group came in and built a Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain-type ride? It would be completely awesome.
  12. Gaw shucks. That would have been the best surprise for those in attendance. I must say that it's amazing that, in the span of seven years or less, Solace has gone from premiere to total crap because they kept skimping on their offerings. And it was a great business move for MM to step in at this time when the offer is slim in SoCal where there's so many coasters. I want Scandia Solace. That would rock my world.
