I'm not too excited about this movie. The Simpsons has been downhill for a very long time now, and I don't think this movie will be any different. I'll watch it when it comes to dvd, or tv or whatever.

The Simpsons movie will make the series jump the shark for like, the 10th time. It depends on the story and whether or not it will reveal any other Simpsons mysteries (like where the hell is Springfield!?).

Well, they are bringing back alot of the old writers for the movie, like John Schwartzwelder

 

I am cautiosly optimistic, the show is still pretty funny, but not as good as it once was, that said, its been on for 16 years, how many great storys can you write about a family

actually one of the commentaries said it was massachussets. it makes sense, theres an ocean, and it snows.

 

i think the movie will be pretty good. the simpsons is better at making more theatrical plots than family guy, look at the season finale "who shot Mr. Burns?" that was pretty cinematic.

Is this the end of the simpsons? I remember a while back the creaters and stuff anouncing that there would be a move at the end of the series.

I dont think it will be the end of the series. It is still a popular show and it has been on for a long time. What other shows have been on for that long and still are as popular.
