AllenA07 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Well I'm finally one of the cool kids, I've got myself a Wii. Saw it last night at Target sitting out there, and decided I didn't want to wait another 6 months to find another one so I grabbed it. So far I only own Wii Sports, but I'll be adding a few other games in after I'm done with school.
thomas2 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 ^Congrats! Â I wanted to buy Mario Kart today but it was sold out at all the shops I went to . Then I saw Guitar Hero III: Legends of rock so I bought that. Too bad I left my Wii at home so I'll have to wait untill friday to actually play it (OMG the guitar is soo cool BTW )
KrakenKing Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Well im pretty much the coolest kid at school because I have a 360, PS3, and Wii. Plus an awsome gaming PC. Â And how many did your mommy buy you? All of them? Â Yeah. Don't talk.
jaap Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I got mario kart on the release date, I pre-ordered it 2 months ago. And I am glad I did because it is sold out everywhere now.  And this game is AWESOME. The steering with the steering wheel feels really good although it is very sensitive, so a small motion is enough to steer around the sharpest corner.  The addition of the tricks works out really well. Also the motors are a nice addition and are really well balanced against the karts (although if you master the controls of the motor they look to be the fastest choice)  Because there are 12 players now instead of 8 the action is really chaotic but fun. I also feel that the difficulty is a bit higher than mario kart DS.  The online play is really good and lag free, but there are times that people get disconnected whitout warning. But it is so much fun to play online and because your overall score is kept you want to play again and again and again  If you have a WII order your copy of mario kart now! If you don't have a WII go out and go buy a WII an order a copy of mario kart NOW!

And how many did your mommy buy you? All of them?  Yeah. Don't talk.  My parents dont buy me this stuff! I have to work for it! I work all the time for my neighbors doing things I cut grass in summer I find as many jobs as I can. Plus I got all they systems a year or so apart so it wasnt that bad. I got my 360 in 05 my Wii in on launch in 06 and I got the PS3 not that long ago. All a year apart isnt bad if thats all your saving for. So dont go talking when you dont know what your talking about!  My parents dont lie video games so they dont buy them for me. The only thing is my PC that my Dad bought alot of the parts bun not it all.
chmilo24 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 ^Why don't you save your money for something important like college, an apartment, a car, a trip to Hawaii, or a boat.

Only the Europeans and Japan have it.
the sound Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 ^Sweet, we get Mario Kart before you guys! But we still don't even have a release date for brawl, so i guess it all equals out in the end. Â Until then, i have to stick with the flash version... Â BEST FLASH GAME EVER!
Kingbooba Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 ^Sweet, we get Mario Kart before you guys! But we still don't even have a release date for brawl, so i guess it all equals out in the end.  Oh yeah, we got Brawl in March. But you (I'm guessing since you live in Australia) get Mario Kart 3 days before the US, but you don't even know when you get Brawl.  Brawl comes out June 6th I think in Europe.
thomas2 Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I played Guitar Hero III this weekend and ZOMG is AWESOME! . It's not so fun in the beginning but once you get the hang of it it's really amazing and addictive.
kraken613 Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 This is a summary of an interview of Miyamoto for 1up. Â Punch-Out!! will be returning on Wii, with Balance Board support. (Source: I asked why Don King's Prizefighter was the first boxing game to support the peripheral while Punch-Out!! was nowhere to be seen; he laughed and shook his hands and said, "I can't talk about anything until E3!"Â Pikmin for Wii (or maybe DS?) will be revealed next year. (Source: he says he's "still trying to figure out what to do with Pikmin.") Â New Zelda game to be revealed by the end of the year. (Source: He says the Zelda team's gotten back together. Also, common freakin' sense.) Â Online support for Wii Fit coming in an update. (Another "I can't talk about anything until E3" response.) Â All sounds good! I cant wait to see the new Zelda game! Also im excited for Pikmin and Punch-Out. Im also looking forward to learning more on the Wii Fit online support! Â This is going to be a great E3 for Nintendo they are showing the whole second half. We dont know officailly anything coming in the 2nd half of the year! July cant come fast enough to know more about this stuff!
the sound Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 ^ Pretty Dodgy sources though, the quote "I can't talk about anything until e3" means nothing until anything is announced, even if it is Miyamoto.
kraken613 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 ^ I said I cant wait to see what officaily announced. Nintendo has said on many occasions that they are not saying anything new until E3 in July. Â Â Im really looking forward to WiiWare its launching the 12th I think. The ony thing thats going to hold me back from buying lots of games is the freaking storage! Ive filled my memory plus a 1gb SD card with VC games. Unless they allow USB HDD im not going to be too happy.
chmilo24 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 ^Then buy another FRICKIN SD!!! Â So is WiiWare the big DLC announcement, or is it something else? -and- Just out of curiosity, but is there anyway possible to somehow connect a computer hard drive, like a C Drive, to the Wii to enhance memory or RAM?
kraken613 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Im fine with an SD card but I have to transfer it back and forth and delete it and redownload. Its a pain to do and if they unlock that ill be happy. But I would much rather have a HDD to have it all in one place. Â And no thats why I want USB HDD support. And that wouldnt have anything to do with ram........ Just the storage space.
SharkTums Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 NEED ANIMAL CROSSING FOR WII!!!! Â Seriously, has there been anything credible that's come out on this recently?
DATman Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I am dying for an Animal Crossing Wii. So much fun. Thankfully extra dance mats for DDR have been released (even though the game has been out for amost 6 months).
signal Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Mario Kart comes out on sunday!!! I can't wait for Animal crossing though. Hopefully you can actually get errands from your townspeople unlike the DS version. I really liked the gamecube version better.
Guest Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Um... do you need to pre-order Mario Kart Wii in order to get it at midnight? I called GameCrazy and the girl didn't even know there was going to be a midnight release and checked, then said that I did have to pre-order it... so I'm not too quick to believe her.
chmilo24 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I'm pretty sure you do need to pre-order for a MR, or at least I always do just to make sure.
Wes Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I just got it from Target. Totally forgot it was coming out today, so I was surprised to see it. Picked it up along with two extra wheels, they had plenty in stock here so I'm sure it'll be easy to come by.
