According to the Huss website, Marineland will be adding a Walrus-themed Topple Tower for the 2006 season. The ride will feature new restraints that will allow smaller children to ride. Check out Huss' description of the Marineland ride here: http://www.hussrides.com/78AboutThrill.htm

For those of you who are not familiar with what a Topple Tower does, you can check out Robb's video of Tang 'Or, the Topple Tower at Walibi Lorraine:

My reaction: Hooray, a new ride! Marineland is really spread out; you have to walk pretty far between rides, so anything new is good. I'm planning on visiting sometime after the ride opens; I haven't ridden Sky Screamer yet either.

I might make a trip out there to ride Sky Screamer and the topple tower.

Hopefully they complete it by a decent date. Unlike Sky Screamer which was finished very late in the season.

Hopefully 2006 doesn't mean Sept 2006.

Very interesting!

This has to be one of those flatrides that had such great promise and everyone thought would be amazing, and it turns out to be a kiddie ride! Now to prove my point, they're putting kiddie restraints on the darn thing!

Actually, it won't open until the 2008 season. And when they finally finish the thing, it will run the most shortest program- Ring goes up, then down. No topple.

(Wonders when they will open the restrooms and the restaurant next to Sky Screamer.. it's been under construction since 2004!).

^It's the helix of nothinggggg!!!!!

It's a shame they didn't finish this theming. I bet it would look pretty awesome if was all done up and complete!!

But for now they might as well call it Construction Mountain!!

I think Dollywood got exclusive rights to the US for a year. Marineland is in some other country, though some may say its our 51st state!

Hopefully I'll get up to Marineland this year like I planned, and hopefully it will be done by then! I'll plan on visiting on closing day just to be safe

The ride may be lame, but I'd like to at least say I rode one. Now if only they'd get a Star Flyer and plop it down with a view of the Falls...

Last time I've been to Marineland was August 2001... rode Dragon Mountain 6 times, I believe.

With the addition of Sky Screamer (and now the Topple Tower) within the past few years... I'd really like to go again!

The park is rather far away from the actual Falls, IMO.

Check out that awesome volcano/mountain around the helix!

I prefer the 2000 foot coast through the metal girders that was supposed to be a water fall theming.

That coaster is one of the longest in the world(or biggest if you listen to the park itself). But yet if excluded the super long lift hill, and flat sections it wouldn't be any longer then your average looping/corkscrew coaster.

I'm sorry, I could have sworn it encompassed North America.

I'd prefer one in the touristy area so you could get a better view of the falls.

How is that an opinion? It's either yes or no

And actually it's a no.

The park is quite close to the falls. I was there last year and standing by the falls you can easilly see Sky Screamer behind you.

The park really couldn't be all that much closer to the falls without being on the falls.

Edit: You can see in the arial photos just how close it is. Link

I think that might actually happen someday. They could put it up on the mountain with Sky Screamer! Although it's not made by Huss so maybe not!

I can see Sky Screamer from the south Grand Island bridge! I can also see MFI's ferris wheel, and on a clear day I can see the two vertical loops of Construction Mountain. ::ahem:: I mean Dragon Mountain!

And that aerial shot... ooh baby! You can almost see my house in that shot!!

Oh... I do think it takes a long time to get to the park from the falls, but that's cause I'm a "tourist" who gets lost easily.

I visited the Falls this past year on my way to Pennsylvania, and "stopped" at Marineland and Martin's Fantasy Island. Marineland is only like a five minute drive from downtown, so it's not that far away. I wish I would have gone in and rode Sky Screamer and at least given Draggin' Mound a pity ride (for the credit, of course), because the park looks very nice. Did the same thing for MFI though, stood outside to get some pictures and then drove away. Now when I look back at those pictures I want to ride Silver Comet. BADLY.

Anyways, I think a Topple Tower would be a great addition to Marineland. They can add that to their "To Do" list like everything else and maybe it will get done by 2010.

^ Wow, I think I'm personally insulted by your post!

I LOVE Dragon Mountain! Just because its theming never got finished doesn't mean it's not a good ride! Look at all the rides out there that have no theming whatsoever!

So anyway... Ha Ha, you didn't get to ride Silver Comet! Ha!

No, that's not what I meant. I've seen POVs as well as lots of pictures, and it just looks like a boring, tame, useless ride to me. I have a thing against Arrow looping coasters, probably because I'm too tall for the restraints and it every ride on one results in pain.

I'll be up at PCW/Marineland/MFI/SFDL again this summer for a quick trip, and maybe I'll be proven wrong, but for now my judgement stays that it's another Arrow piece of crap.

Ok, I guess I just don't like how you're all like "IT SUCKS" without even riding it first. "I don't like it" or "I don't think I'll like it" would have been better. No hard feelings.

The Topple tower concept seems interesting , but with kiddie restraints you'd figure , would the company take a step further and make a kiddie Topspin? LOL! god I can just see a topsin normal sized with kiddie restraints haha. Now that would be funny! torturous but rather..funny.

I thought ToT @ Goldreef City was the World's Tallest Freefall Tower, PERIOD. Does the Sky Screamer drop all the way from the top to the bottom, or does it just bounce down? If it was true freefall, wouldn't it reach 90-100 mph?
