America Sings Freak Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 There has been no word recently of where Ultra Twister the only rollercoaster of its kind in the U.S. is going? I would like to Know if anyone Knows whats going to happen to it, because i would hate to see it used as scrap metal
Chris Benvenuto Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 There has been no word recently of where Ultra Twister the only rollercoaster of its kind in the U.S. is going? I would like to Know if anyone Knows whats going to happen to it, because i would hate to see it used as scrap metal I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that's it's fate. it's almost and maybe 20 years or so older, and there is no use for it. I'm sorry to bust your bubble, I'm really disappointed about it too!
YoshiFan Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I thought it was going to Six Flags America (hasn't that what has been speculated for weeks?)
rollermonkey Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 The Ultratwisters tend to be the most ride-able TOGO death machines out there. I never got to ride that one, though. Does anybody (Robb) know if it was rough when compared to the ones in Japanese parks?
SharkTums Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 The ironic thing is...yes, the Astroworld one was the roughest ultratwister I ever rode!!!! I had bruises on my shoulders for days!
Bubba Z Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 ^ "Ditto" The restraints were so heavy on that ride. Rumor mill has it going to SFA.
robbalvey Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I never had a problem with Astroworld's Ultra Twister. I would say out of the three I've been on, the one at Mitsui Greenland was the smoothest, but SFAW's and Nagashima Spaland's were pretty much equal. --Robb "Wearing a tank top on the ride will result in bruised shoulders, yes!" ECZenith Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Hey Jakizle, what are the odds of finding another Rhode Islander on here. Anyways, I agree... I do hope Ultra Twister is saved, even if it ends up overseas, I'd be happy to see it avoid the axe.
Mind Eraser Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Demolition workers at Astroworld said it's headed to Washington DC.
socalMAN123 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 A credit missed. But as Elissa said to me while waiting in line for Superman: The Escape, "You're not missing really anything." ---Brent
momo1tx Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I've heard from numerous SFAW demolition workers that it's heading to SFA. Not many people up in MD would be able to confirm that, however, because not many people up on the coaster site live in the Largo area around DC.
