Nrthwnd Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 We're now going to be heading into our second STORM in the last month. Much rain. A lot of flooding, probably. Hopefully, nobody loses their life, as several did in the previous deluge. Stay tuned for what stays strong, and what loses the battle. BTW, our house and blocks are pretty safe from floods in unexpected places (i.e. drains). Heavy rain 'looks' pretty "monsoon awesome", lol. It brings people out on their porches, because it "sounds loud."

tinaalsgirl Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Everyone okay after those storms on Friday? I'm pretty far north in Missouri but even we ended up with a tornado warning and a rotation that went over my house ended up dropping a brief EF0 just a couple miles to the east.

CaptainUnknown Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Due to some severe weather in my area tonight (including but not limited to: hail, thunderstorms, tornado watches/warnings), parts of my workplace lost power. Some light fixtures went full strobe. But the big thing that got knocked out was the air compressor. Since we couldn't get it back up, and about 95% of the machines use the compressor, everyone left 4 hours early tonight.

Nrthwnd Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Our second big snowfall of the year, is finally all melted and gone, for the most part. Now, it's mainly low temps. and rain for the season. But snow could come again. Very unpredictable, our winters here.

There were spots where a squeegee would have been more useful than a shovel. And there's more snow the rest of the week as well. Why couldn't I have been in Florida this week instead?
