thunder001 Posted December 12, 2005 Share Posted December 12, 2005 After all that time spent in the carpark on Saturday night and the only shot worth looking at was taken by mistake....how sad. At least I did get the chance to see this ride in action. This would have to be the quitest coaster I have ever heard, with the noise about the same level as The Claw at Dreamworld. Looks great in action and I am just ticked off that Ian gets to ride before me.... But if you want great blurry pictures then check this out.... Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force had a careless one night stand and gave birth to a young child called Superman Escape. This ride should be fun, I will be up there this week and I may have to disguise myself as one of those crash test dummies to get a ride. I think they picked Rabid because they wanted to test the anti roll backs and they aren't sure if they will work. Maybe Rabid can confirm whether the theming will be fully operational on wednesday. Yes, I think it's an old British tradition that the former Empire still follows. We don't make such a big deal about Thanksgiving in Canada, in fact it occurs on Columbus Day, but we DO take two days off for Christmas and Boxing Day! Here are the offical facts that have just been released. RIDE FACTS 760 metres of vertical climbs, weightless drops, head spinning twists and giant G-force turns. You travel from 0 - 100 kms per hour in two seconds. Height of the top hat section is 40 metres. Weight of a fully loaded train with 20 riders is 9,100 kgs. Maximum G force in the vertical plane is in excess of 4. Time to complete Superman Escape is 1 minute and 40 seconds. RIDER REQUIREMENTS Minimum height requirement is 140 cm. Maximum height restriction is 196 cm. Safety restrictions prohibit guests with certain medical conditions from entering. Please check signage at the entrance to the queue area. Hope to one day visit, maybe my ship the Training Ship Golden Bear will stop in sydney again for a couple of days at port. Only time will tell.
