I have heard the rules have loosen a little for tourist, but i know tattoos and clothing choice, female rights and other types of rights are basically a no go. That knocks out a chunk of the community.

Just not sure how busy this place ever will get people will go when it first opens but long term success will be interesting to see.

Part of me also thinks that Falcons flight will actually never open.

Look up any trip reports to Dubai Parks & Resorts.  These parks are mostly for the middle east billionaires to burn through mountains of cash so they don't have to pay taxes.

As I'm writing this I'm realizing I have zero room to talk because I have no clue if any of these parks have seen significant crowds or not.  I'm just under the impression that they're ghost towns.

Edit - All that to say, if I see Falcon's Flight is actually operating reliably, I'm looking into flights.  With the way things are going it's not like I'm caring about my retirement account anymore.

Money is just drilled out of the ground each day so its never a point of running out at this point.

They just keep spending money on things that on the outside make no sense like starting Liv Golf.

I  wonder what the attendance to the new Sea world Robb went to a few months back or the Ferrari world is yearly or monthly.

As massive as this park is Saudi Arabia and Dubai are low on countries I want to visit

So sad, there are so many people in the world that need help.  The place looks incredible, but it's too bad about the labor treatment.

I would ask what you mean by Labor treatment but im not sure if we should post it here.

Take these personal posts someplace else. We don't need to hear that talk.

In fairness, I made a straight forward post about the physical capability of visiting this park and it spiraled into a social justice thread from hell...

I do think this roller coaster will open and I think it will attract a lot of worldwide visitors. It's always good to have another record breaking coaster in the world. I'm looking forward to eventual videos.

^Yeah, but Dubai was always known as the 'las vegas' for the arab countries/people.  Saudi Arabia is the real deal and unless they get a LOT more lenient many of us will have trouble visiting there. I agree though, it's their country and people should support or hurt them with their money as that's what this all boils down for.  And if you're a real credit person and you don't want to support them, try to go for as cheap as possible! Or make a donation to a womens or gay rights association to offset your trip.  There are good karma options out there! I'd be interested to visit Saudi Arabia as it's a very strange country but has some amazing sites (not including the theme parks) but as a woman, of course many of their policies hurt and offend me.

I wonder if it's possible to "day trip" the park, fly in early from Europe, fly out late don't even stay there. Not that I'd probably be able to.

I heard they were going to try to allow alcohol at the resort, wonder how that's going?

Not worth all that money (+ Time) to get there, etc.

Had to add '(+ Time)'

Word. I don't care what they think of my values; it's personally not worth the trouble of getting there for one roller coaster. Knowing my luck, it would be closed due to rain...

Looks like it would take about 3 hours round trip to get to and from the Park. So That is gonna take a  chunk of your day.

I mean im sure its possible but seems like a lot of planning and hoping all goes well.

I mean i was thinking about doing something like this for Great America. Fly in from Ohio rent a car drive then fly back home at the end of the day.

That's an awful lot of effort for Great America.  Remember, it's still very much a Six Flags park, operations and all the other "perks" you'd expect.  Add it to a road trip, sure, but don't waste the time and money for a single day.  Save that for somewhere worth it.  Goliath and Maxx Force aren't worth it.

Just trying to knock some of the parks left around me. The two bigger ones would be Six Flags Great America and Six flags great Adventure. Zach had a review I think Zach had a trip report from last year that kind of made me not as interested in going and spend a lot of money to get to the park.

Back on Topic Vekoma posted a video of Iron Rattler testing. Sure does look like a massive ride. With some solid theming on the tower.  As Cedar points just looks like an Oil rig in the middle of the park.

I will puff my chest out a little and walk hard, but inside im a little B. Not sure if being bigger then most of them would help or make me a easier target.

Easier target. They know if you hit them you go to jail and have something to lose. If they hit you, they get paperwork, released on scene to a guardian, and court date for 90 day probation. I'm not big, but I'm fit, and a lot bigger than they were. It doesn't matter. They wouldn't do it to someone who looks like they have nothing to lose.

It was a pleasant day.

Oh, but Demon, Whizzer, American Eagle (especially red), Viper, Raging Bull, Fiddler's Fling and Lobster are most definitely worth your time if you are into fun rides!  Great America is probably the best run Six Flags park and has the best VARIETY of any big park with both new, old and unique rides.

If you're just a creho have fun at Magic Mountain, Cedar Point and Great Adventure.  For me, Great America is where it's at.  No one has a disco tunnel and a 55 degree snapping drop on an old Arrow coaster that they just wanted to make steeper than Turn of the Century  (the west coast Demon had it's drop changed in the 90s to make it more family friendly).   If you want record breakers exclusively even though they aren't as much fun as other rides then have your other places that cater to that, there are many and they are popular in our community.

But do you!  Do what you like.

I would argue Six Flags Fiesta Texas has this one beat, but at this point, I don't even think you can consider it a true Six Flags park. It's like the unusually smart child in the family, which was secretly made on a business trip instead of at home.

The opening dates hasn't been revealed yet. But is it expected to be by December 31st, 2025 (New Year's Eve).

The park is almost ready to be open for Six Flags to finally bring a park to the Middle East after nearly 25 years in the making and after two failed previous attempts (Dubai/Dubailand, UAE and Lusail, Qatar).

Six Flags Qiddiya City is set to officially open to the public on December 31st, 2025. The park will open with a number of coasters including Falcons Flight, Iron Rattler and Spitfire, all of which break records in their respective categories.

Saudi Arabia will open its first Six Flags theme park on Dec. 31, 2025, as Qiddiya City accelerates efforts to position itself as a major regional hub for entertainment, sports, and culture.

The park — the first Six Flags outside North America — forms part of Qiddiya Investment Co.’s flagship development on the outskirts of Riyadh. Located in the Tuwaiq Mountains about 40 minutes from the capital, Qiddiya City is being marketed as a master-planned destination built around the company’s “Power of Play” strategy, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Qiddiya is central to Saudi Arabia’s transformation strategy under Vision 2030, with the Kingdom targeting up to 150 million visitors annually by 2030 as the nation moves beyond oil-led growth.

Brian Machamer, president of Six Flags Qiddiya City, said: “Six Flags Qiddiya City not only opens its door to the public for the first time, it starts to showcase everything Qiddiya City stands for: bold imagination, unforgettable experiences, and a new benchmark for global entertainment.”

Six Flags Qiddiya City will feature 28 rides, including several promoted as record-breakers: the Falcons Flight roller coaster, billed as the world’s tallest, fastest and longest; the Iron Rattler, described as the world’s tallest tilt coaster; and Spitfire, marketed as the world’s tallest inverted coaster.

The park also includes 18 family-oriented rides, as well as international dining outlets and retail stores offering exclusive Six Flags merchandise.

Qiddiya City is expected to eventually feature hundreds of attractions, along with residential, retail, office, hospitality, healthcare and educational facilities in a large-scale, mixed-use district. The development is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to expand its tourism sector and diversify its economy beyond oil.

The theme park will open daily at 4 p.m., with complimentary shuttles connecting visitors from designated parking areas and from Jeddah Metro Station, where services will begin at 3 p.m. All shuttle services are accessible for guests with disabilities.

Tickets will start at SR325 ($87) for adults and SR275 for children, while infants under four will be admitted free. Visitors will have the option to purchase an Unlimited GoFast Pass for priority access to selected rides. Discounted tickets for people with special needs, senior citizens and companions will be sold exclusively at the park, starting from SR75.
