coasters 4 me Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I try to maek my bed most days, but hardly ever get time, I am always in a rush in the mornings. School weekdays and Hockey on Saturday. Sunday, it just depends, if I lie in bed or get up and do stuff.
calcajun Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 So wait, I do think putting the bed together is funny but isn't "Making the bed" kinda universal? Don't we all know what that means? If not then how do you term it? Do i need to straighten the sheets, bedspread and pillows when i get up? I would rather just make the bed. Thats just me though Now here is one that many think is strange but most here in the south do it all the time. " Make Groceries" I even think I use to make poo when i was a kid!
J man Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I only make my bed if people are coming over. This is because I have a bunk bed, and it's really hard to make your bed especially if it's the top bunk.
AllisonY2K Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I only make it when I know I will have company. ditto. well, if they're good friends they can deal with my unmade bed.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Haha, well..... I am usualy so tired when I go to bed, that I just fall on the bed without even getting under the sheets. So, my bed never gets messy, so I never have to make it. If I actualy slept under the covers, I probably wouldn't so I voted "never".
ebl Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 On our bed, we just have the top sheet and a comforter. Grab ahold of both and just flip it up by the pillows...voila! Bed is made. Takes about five seconds of our day. Eric
andrea Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I never really make up my bed for the simple fact that it's just gonna get messed up again
Token Yankee Guy Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Depends on where I am. If I am at home, my bed is usually made to a certain extent. But as for my dorm bed, it's like a tornado hit it.
Mind Eraser Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Oh my god, I haven't made my bed since I was like 7 years old. My parents used to pay me to do it! They knew I wouldn't do chores unless flashed the BL$NG.
maeryk Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I don't, and haven't "made" a bed in years. I've changed it a bunch of times.. but "making" it? I toss my PJ's in in the morning and just throw the covers up towards the pillow in some bizarre and fruitless hope that maybe it will keep them warm till bedtime. (old stone farmhouse.. bedroom temps right now are ranging in the mid 50's at night). but I don't make it. My wife does. (her choice, not mine.. I could care if it is made or not) Maeryk
ZipityDoDog Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Even though my girlfriend works days and I work nights, when I get up, I make the bed. If the room is a little messy it is harder to tell if the bed is made, it gives the room a cleaner appearance.
Louise Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 ^ I think you'll probably find this is not abnormal for guys who live by themselves. Meh, I'm sure you're right, changing the sheets was the one thing I always did at my ex's house, he probably never would've done it if I wasn't there. I never make my bed, but I change my sheets fairly regularly, which is kinda odd now I come to think of it... I need clean sheets!
calcajun Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 If the spot where you lay isn't too dark and hard yet why change the sheet?
Kroger8 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I only make the bed if someone is coming over, but other than that... no I hardly ever make my bed...
Homer Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I make my bed every morning... for some reason, leaving the house for school without making the bed makes my room feel messy. I'm odd like that...
