Mind Eraser
Let's be honest here. As much as we love air and hate trims, as enthusiasts, we are in the extreme minority. The GP won't even notice the trims, and those who do probably won't care. This does bum me out. Ive always wanted to ride California Screamin'. I knew I should have hit it early on. -kip-

I know plenty of GP that from visit to visit (those who do repeat visit) notice changes such as trims and brakes. I would say for that ride too I bet it has alot of repeat visitors and it will be noticed by a majority of the population.
dadofgage
I rode Screamin on Tuesday night - 5 times - and didn't ever really notice any trims on any of the rides. That is especially true for the section right before the loop. For my wife and I and this being the first time that we have ridden, we thought that the ride maintained great speed, there was decent air and that the ride was just a lot of fun! SpectralN
While riding "CA screaming" the other day I did notice some "trimming" occuring, but I believe this may have to do with the rides computer ride profiles, how many trains are on the track and other factors. There are many times I would ride a coaster and depending on how many trains are on the track there are certain brake zones that would trim and slow the coaster down, while riding the same ride with low capacity and only one or two trains running those trim brakes did not kick in. Now I assume that is just how all modern coasters run, if this post is speaking of additional trimming occuring beyond the standard "trim brakes" that are almost always being used on a majority of coasters around the world. Jim Disney
Okay... let's set a few things strait... -Yes, trims have been installed. -No, they have nothing to do with computer issues. They are magnetic and are not connected to any power source. They appear to be entirely there to trim speed and do not function as block brakes in any way. The trimming is definitely there. The loop is still good, but now lacks that extra "kick you in the ass" edge it used to have. And the second set of trims located on the last brake run just before the bunny hills also give you the same "did we just slow down" feeling as the first ones. They're semi-easy to spot. The brakes are preceeded by blue guide fins to guide the copper fins on the bottom of the cars into the brakes. It doesn't kill the ride entirely, and having not ridden in the front seat, it's hard to tell how bad it kills the air on the ride (given that's the best seat on the ride for airtime). But if it's anything like the back seat... it's definitely lost that forceful airtime over the bunny hills.

Gnome
the loop and the bunny hills were what made the ride stand out, imo, I don't know why they crippled the experience.

COOOOLkid
I didn't think it made the ride really bad... There were some good forces on the loop, as well as nice pops of air on those bunny hops. I did feel the trim, but it didn't seem like it slowed the ride down at all.
