bretJacobs1
Realistically, being a Delta wh@re myself, the usual routing to Asia on Delta, is West not via Europe. Almost impossible to book a random ticket to Asia from the US on Delta, and have it transit via Europe. So….. if Japan/China is the first actual point to clear customs, it's a very circuitous routing on Delta. Again, not to say that you CAN'T get there that way, but almost any attempt online to book a ticket on Delta to Japan/China will route you through their NARITA hub (japan) or LAX. Tampa>Detroit>Amsterdam>XXXXXX is almost certainly a routing to India or SOCHI, and with all the clues related to Frozen and Snow, I am still certain that Sochi and the WINTER Olympics are the destination. The trip would have been booked long before it became evident that Sochi Park wouldn't open for the games. If that was the only thing they were doing, then they could cancel/rebook, however if they had booked anything for the games themselves (CLOSING CEREMONY at USD$1,000 on more per ticket) then, there's no canceling/rescheduling that, and you just go and forget the coasters and enjoy the (perhaps) once in a lifetime Olympics experience. oh, the rent logo, in olympic colors is another clue to add to what I've already listed. The DEVO album cover, also in the 5 Olympic colors, again points to SOCHI. Have to admit I don't get the "YOU SUCK" Scott Pilgrim picture, but I do see that it says "you suck". The Ferris Wheels are a big Ring, again an Olympics hint. Also, it's totally likely that Rob has programmed certain posts to happen while they are in air, thus throwing people off as to where they were when the Tampa airport pic and others were posted. (especially on the DET-AMS leg of the trip). Edited February 14, 2014 by bretJacobs1

Sometimes I just do things to amuse myself and see if people are paying attention! BUT... The Scott Pilgrim thing is actually a REAL clue, and once I tell people what it refers to, you'll all go "ahhhhhhh...."
rubysparkles
The Bally one might be that they flew over Bally, PA. which would be a clue to the direction they are flying in. The Happy Horse year must mean it's China somewhere (as previously stated it is the Year of the Horse). Takara Tomy has made some Disney products over the years (from the meat cow machine picture). Devo had characters called The Chinamen in their shows. There are mine train rides at Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park. Could your next flight be from Newark (in New York where Carnagie's Deli is) to Hong Kong International Airport. You could easily hit the two parks in Hong Kong followed by Ocean Kingdom and the parks in Shenzhen too. technfxrick
Ok so i just checked, their are other parks in Sochi, but i dont think R+E are that interested in sports. also looking at routing options to Sochi it would involve another 14 hours of travel (KLM does not fly there) and most go through Frankfurt, so they would of been better flying directly there

Amsterdam - Schipol airport is the European hub for KLM, the Delta Skyteam partner, and realistically the only connecting point if coming from the US on a Delta codeshare flight other than Air France. There are too many clues leading to Olympics (etc), including (Scott Pilgrim VS. THE WORLD). It's Sochi. The Indiana Beach picture can reference the olympics by the multi colored light bulbs in the background. That and the Devo and Rent pictures all have the Olympic rings colors of Blue Yellow Black Green and Red Carnegie Deli picture says "World's Best" on the far right. I was stumped at the Mel Brooks picture, but there is a DETROIT based hip hop group of PRODUCERS named the OLYMPICKS Edited February 14, 2014 by bretJacobs1

kidcoaster 2
I take the snow as something you are getting away from and the many airports meaning your destination requires many stops. Also thinking of where you have not been and one that keeps popping up is South Africa. They love races and of course there are coasters there. KBrylczyk
I highly doubt it's open in February, but Ai Pioppi in Italy? It's in Northern Italy, not too far from Venice and Lake Garda, which is why I doubt it's open since Gardaland and Movieland Studios don't open until April. Anyway, in case that actually is where you're off to, here's my reasoning. Scott Pilgrim - "Gelato isn't vegan?" "Milk and eggs, bitch." Cow and chicken machine - Milk and eggs. Elsa and Anna - Bitches (ghetto-slang version). Carnegie Deli - Delis are Italian. Especially that one. Julia Stiles - Google claims 1/3rd Italian. Soda - Italian soda is way better than American soda. McDonalds - We hit up a highway rest area McDonalds on the Italy 2012 TPR trip. Multiple flushes for a toilet - Italians like eggplant. Eggplant gives you gas. Farts galore! Mel Brooks / Producers - The owner of Ai Pioppi created the park from scratch and built everything himself. He produced it. Bally's - No clue on this one. DEVO - Since the rides are homemade, it's kind of a de-evolution of ride technology. Racetrack - Italians love their racing. Rent - No clue, but I hate both the movie and the show. Hmm, maybe they're going to Paris instead! Rollercoasters and flat rides pics - There's both at Ai Pioppi. Happy Horse Year - That is the sign from inside The Venetian / The Palazzo Las Vegas at their seasonal display for the Chinese New Year. So that's the current guess and homework. Ai Pioppi. bretJacobs1
For their sake I really hope it isn't Sochi, as good God the connections from AMS look horrible. Looks at best that if they continue to use DELTA partners that they're looking at an amazingly long layover in AMS, only to layover again somewhere else to make a connection directly into Sochi. They won't get there until Saturday afternoon. The fact that there is time for a nap in AMS, means that they are not on a flight before noon CET, so they're in for a long haul. oh, and there's been at least one "race" comment in the pictures that obviously alludes to sporting events. mce444
My last guess is Sydney. The "S" thing from my previous posts. "Surfboard" on top of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Julia Stiles starred with Heath Ledger in, "10 Things", who is from Australia. Mel Brooks for "Melbourne". Also Devo was huge in Australia. Thats all I got. bretJacobs1
Check out the pin on the USB plug guys. looks standard Europoean 220 volt rounded, two prong adapter to me. That, and again the COKE gratuitously put in the center of the frame (a world wide Olympics Sponsor). Who would drink a coke before trying to take a nap? The coke must be Robb's. The 5 Euro note and the two round coins, = 5 rings of the Olympic symbol.

Xcoaster
I just noticed that the Carnegie Deli has a sign in the window for the "United Carnegie Pickle Eating Contest". If a Pickle Eating Contest isn't a clue for the Olympics, I don't know what is. Also, a google search for Scott Pilgrim and the Olympics brought up two relevant results: Shaun White's guilty music pleasure is "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" soundtrack Olympic trampoline athlete Jason Burnett was a stunt double for Michael Cera in "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" So yeah, final destination is Sochi, but currently at AMS (based on Euros and airport photos).
